Hotels near Oude Haven, Rotterdam

Getting there was incredibly easy — it’s only about an eight-minute metro ride from Rotterdam Central, and the hotel is literally just outside the Leuvehaven metro station, which makes arrival and getting around very convenient. The hotel itself was very clean, and the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming. We had a canal-facing room, which was beautiful, especially in the evening when the lights reflected on the water — definitely a lovely touch to the stay. It’s also about an eight-minute walk to Beurs, so you’re well placed for shops, restaurants, and the city centre without being right in the busiest area. I’d happily recommend this hotel for both comfort and location.

I recently stayed at a 4-star hotel in Rotterdam and overall had a very pleasant experience. The location is excellent, with plenty of shops and restaurants just a short walk away, making it very convenient whether you're looking to dine out or do a bit of shopping. From the moment I arrived, the staff stood out—they were professional, approachable, and always greeted guests with a genuine smile. Their helpful attitude really added to the overall comfort of the stay. The hotel itself is well-maintained. The hallways are clean and even have a subtle, pleasant scent that creates a welcoming atmosphere. I also appreciated the thoughtful touch in the lobby, where free hot and cold drinking water is available for guests. The room was spacious and spotless, offering plenty of comfort to relax after a long day. Housekeeping clearly does a great job maintaining cleanliness and order. That said, there was one downside: my room faced the main road. While this might not bother everyone, I did notice that noise from passing vehicles—especially honking late at night—was quite audible and occasionally disrupted sleep. Overall, it’s a great hotel with strong service, cleanliness, and location. If you’re a light sleeper, it may be worth requesting a room that doesn’t face the road.

Hotel location is good. Shopping mall all nearby, walking distance. The down part is the staircase leading to the hotel. We had to carried our heavy luggage (20kg) up the staircase. Maybe build a ramp for guest to just pull their luggage. Breakfast is good. The varieties of bread is good. Truly love and enjoy it. Except the location whereby we need to walk quite far from our hotel for 3 days. Treat it as an exercise.

We stayed at Ibis Rotterdam City Centre for three nights. The location is great and the staff were generally friendly, but unfortunately we had repeated issues with the room heating. On the first night, the heating in our room (112) was not working and we were very cold. Since no technicians were available at night, the reception could not offer a solution, and the problem was fixed the next morning. However, on the third night the heating broke down again and started blowing cold air, this time only in our room. The staff were unable to fix it, so we had to change rooms late at night and move all our belongings to a new room. The new room worked fine, but the experience was quite inconvenient. Having the same issue twice and needing to move rooms made our stay less comfortable than expected.

We had a very pleasant stay at Motto’s. The room was compact (as in the descrilption when booking) but well organized, clean and with a big comfy bed. We slept very well. The staff was helpful and kind. The position is excellent near Blaak station, we reached almost every place we wanted to see by foot.

Big big issue is that you can’t reach this hotel by car. There is no proper drop-off zone near the entrance. The pedestrian space in front has small cobblestone-like pavement, very annoying if you’re arriving with big suitcases. They have underground parking for around 19 Euro per day, but don’t offer payment by duration. If you arrive by car in afternoon parking on the street or in public parking garages nearby is a cheaper option. The hotel itself  is always great. I love the CitizenM brand. Always clean, always fresh, always a nice vibe and friendly staff.

The hotel is near the market and the Cube House. In addition, it takes about 20 minutes to walk to the pier to the Children's Dike. The room has a terrace and a record player. The only drawback is that the water pressure is low.

The hotel was clean and easy to find. The hotel is basic no kettel or toaster but does have body and shower wash in the shower. The hotel is very central and is close to lots of bars and shops

The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spotless, and the common areas were also well maintained. A clean and tidy environment always makes a big difference, and it definitely helped me feel comfortable and relaxed during my stay. The staff were also one of the highlights. Everyone I spoke to was polite, friendly, and very helpful. They were happy to answer questions, offer assistance, and make sure guests felt welcome. Their positive attitude created a warm atmosphere and added a personal touch to the whole experience. It is always nice to stay somewhere that values good service, and the staff here really helped make the visit smooth and enjoyable. I also appreciated the local recommendations provided by the staff. They suggested nearby restaurants, cafés, and places to visit, which helped me experience more of the area beyond the usual tourist spots. Their advice was useful and showed that they genuinely wanted guests to have a good time, not just at the hotel but in the surrounding neighborhood as well. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay. With its excellent location, high standards of cleanliness, and kind, helpful staff, it offers a very positive experience. I would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

A beautiful new modern designed hotel with if you are lucky a great view and truly delicious breakfast!! Location is perfect next to tram, metro and not far from the highway.
