Best Hotels in Medicina

The Anusca Palace Hotel is within a cluster of several hotels in the resort area of Castel San Pietro Terme. I found that it is one of the nicer properties. Our room was recently renovated and was very nice and clean and was of moderate size. The internet worked well and the TV had satellite TV service, allowing viewing of channels from the U.S. The property had a very nice outdoor pool, which was a requirement of the wife, especially in the 90+ degree heat of July. Hotel staff was courteous and helpful. One annoying feature was that the key card had to inserted into a slot to turn on power to lights and AC. Only one key was issued to us as the hotel said there was only 1 key per room and more keys were on backorder. This was inconvenient when my wife had to have to key to stay in the room and when I returned later in the evening, I had to have hotel staff let me in. Hopefully this might be fixed now. Food was a disappointment. The expectations of dining in the Emilia Romagna area of Italy are fairly high. Breakfast, which was the same fare (egg, cheese, cold cuts) each day, had no change over the course of a week. Food attendants were not attentive to the buffet as items would frequently run out. The wife had dinner one night which was a pizza night and it was lackluster at best. There were better dining options throughout the town. Overall, the stay was very nice, but it would be wise eat out.

The hotel is ideally situated as an overnighter. Not too far away from the highway, but still in a quit neighbourhood. Ample free parking available and bar/restaurant available at the hotel. Unfortunately we didn't have the chance to try the restaurant as it was still closed due to the thunderstorms the region had suffered and that had caused some damage.

In un non facile weekend tra Gran Premio a Imola e ponte per i vacanzieri, l'hotel era esaurito ma la tariffa ed il livello di servizio sono rimasti friendly. Moderno ed accogliente in tutto, dal parcheggio alla sala colazione.

Hotel Castello provided excellent service during the National Tournament (Vanguard Playing Game) and one of their staff, Kevin was extremely gracious, kind and welcoming. We checked in as part of a tour group at around 8 pm from Rome. We were tired and wanted to sleep, but discovered that our room's AC wasn't working. We included a picture of it with no display. Buttons are not responding at all. We ask our tour leader to help us get this problem fixed. Had a big day tomorrow, so we needed as much rest as we could. Front desk said they'd fix the problem, but no one showed up to our room. After waiting for sometime, they said they had fixed it from their end, but it was clearly not working at all. At almost 10 pm, we were told by our tour group leader that they were going to switch us to a different room. Frustrated, because we had already unpacked our things/clothes so we could get up and move early morning, we now had to repack everything then unpack again. What's worse is, they didn't have anyone from the hotel itself assist us with transferring, but had our tour leader act as their bellboy! They gave an excuse that they were understaffed. No apologies,no compensation, no thoughtfulness or professionalism. It was even borderline racism because they used our tour guide as their bellboy when this whole fiasco was their fault! Just because we're Filipino doesn't mean we get treated worst than any other paying guest of this hotel. We're very disappointed with their service, and will spread our negative experience with as many review sites as we can. This NOT how you treat guests of your hotel.

Abbiamo alloggiato in questo hotel una sola notte, io e il mio compagno siamo venuti da Roma per un concerto all' Arena Parco Nord, la posizione per noi è stata perfetta perché in 5 minuti eravamo sul posto. La camera è bellisisma, moderna e pulita, idem il bagno con doccia grande. Unico neo la moquette a terra, io non la amo. La colazione è buonissima e molto varia. Consigliato.

Good structure, even better than other ”three stars”. Varied breakfast with quality products. The private parking of the structure is very convenient: it is true that the hotel is a bit far from the center of Bologna so you need a means of transport to get there, but those who frequent Bologna know that finding parking in a more central hotel is practically impossible. I had some problems (and I wasn't the only one) with customizing the card for entering the rooms. The room numbers were swapped and more than one person found themselves with a key that didn't open or belonged to another room. Overall a good stay even if the prices, here as elsewhere, on the weekend of the fairs rise disproportionately

On first approach, it was clear to see that this hotel is quite far out from the city centre however explains why the prices are a lot cheaper. My partner and I stayed here in July 2022 for 4 nights and I must admit, we loved the room and overall feel of the hotel. Rooms were very clean and beds were very comfortable. We slept amazingly!! If it was just based on rooms alone, we would give this hotel five stars. However… We booked this hotel mainly because it had a pool. When we asked about the pool, we were informed we needed to book a 1 hour slot if we wanted to use it during that day. This was due to covid measures which were still in place at the hotel. So we did. Booked a 1 hour slot for the pool the following evening. When we arrived at the pool on the lower level, we noticed that the changing rooms were locked and the showers were turned off…due to Covid. Now I would typically understand some reasoning for certain covid rules but this just seemed ridiculous. A couple who were using the pool in the hour slot before us informed us to use the small shower cubicle to get changed as this had a frosted glass door on it and is the only bit of privacy you get down there. So we did! We ended up booking the pool out another two times on our stay but as reception advised following our first pool visit, get changed in your rooms then head down to the pool (assuming you don’t need to get the key from reception to unlock the pool). Towels were provided by poolside although on the first day, there was only one towel left for the two of us. On my final visit to the pool on the morning before we left, I had to go to reception in my swimming trunks because the pool was locked. Something I felt uncomfortable doing in the first place but as there was no changing facilities and the towels were locked by poolside, I reluctantly went to reception where the man behind the desk got angry at me being there in my swimming trunks. Simple solution would be to open up the changing facilities down by poolside to prevent this but hey, that was too obvious. Upon pointing out the fact that the changing facilities in his hotel were locked because they won’t open them due to Covid (which he should have known), he eventually calmed down and mentioned he understood. On our visit we also used the electric bikes which were at reception for a full day at the cost of €25 per bike per day. The system is far to complicated for what it needs to be and should be made simpler by just having reception deal with the booking. Once eventually booked, we were given the keys to the 2 bike locks, helmets and some netting for our hair (another odd covid measure which doesn’t make much sense as you will sweat through the netting anyway). As I was away to take the bikes out, I noticed that all four tyres were flat. Surely this should be inspected by the staff before the bikes are taken out?! Unfortunately staff appeared clueless on what PSI the tires had to be at and as he pumped up the first

I stopped here whilst attending a motorcycling event in Imola. The staff were friendly and attentive and the rooms spacious and clean. the restaurant has a good menu which is not overpriced. The breakfast buffet includes both hot and cold with hams, cheeses, fruit and freshly baked pastries. Parking is easy and free. Looking forward to returning next year.
