Rooms are a little dated but You get a free safe in the rooms, saves you messing about with leaving a deposit at reception which most hotels do. You have to keep your door pass with you at all times because you won’t be able to use the lift or access the pool area. we was on the second floor so we didn’t need to use the lift. The breakfast was really nice, the evening meals was themed nights but there was something for everyone Always sunbeds available. We was lucky enough to get a pool view that we didn’t ask for so that was a bonus. Close to the ***** and beach. Would recommend.

My boyfriend and I booked to stay here as our first holiday abroad together (21 & 22). The hotel itself is situated in a very central location that is close to the nightlife of Benidorm as well as a short walk to the seafront. When booking our holiday, the hotel stated that we would be in a twin room, I emailed the hotel to request a double bed, this was provided, no problem. I had not booked nor paid extra for a room with a pool view but we had one! You could also see the sea through the buildings infront of us (we were facing Cafe Benidorm). Although being amongst the younger generations of the hotel guests, my boyfriend and I still had a lovely time away. The pool was great (Open 10am-8pm) and usually it was just the 2 of us in it. The sunbathing area around the pool was hit by sun for most of the day, making it a great place to lie down and relax. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast which we had included was buffet style, offering many options. Each night the hotel would offer live music in the Dracma Cafe downstairs by the bar/pool area that would attract many of the older guests, but my boyfriend and I enjoyed having a few drinks there before going back to bed after being out for dinner in the evening. Tropicana Cocktails were €14 for 2, which we drank very many of, all week The only downside to the hotel would be the comfort of the beds, which were on the hard side, and the air-con which didn’t work therefore we had to keep the balcony door open all day and sometimes all night, this was fine but at night the noise from close bars and clubs would keep us awake. But I suppose with being so central you must sacrifice some things. The maids were up and about early cleaning, every day, even if we did not want them to clean our room a particular day they would still offer us towels, and even on our last day when we said we were fine for clean towels, the lovely maid still popped some clean ones in for us. On the whole, the Venus hotel was a lovely place to stay, opposite the Helios hotel which also looked very nice, but we noticed that the sun hit the Venus much more. Thankyou Servigroup Venus for a lovely stay, your guests in room 922.

This was my first trip to Benidorm, and I was pleased to have got such a good hotel on my first attempt. Room This was the thing that marked the hotel down to 4. The room was very small and required some sideways shuffling to get around. The balcony was OK. The beds were very creaky and shaky. The worst part was, the door to the balcony had obviously been forced in the past and although it locked, the bottom corner was bent so didn't seal meaning I could hear everything that went on outside as if I was sleeping in the street. Dining Excellent. The staff were very friendly. The food was genuinely excellent, and there was a constantly changing menu on. You paid for your drinks but they weren't expensive. If you get a bottle of wine, they will put the cork back in and label it so you can finish it at another meal. Pool The pool area was clean, and in late August, it was very quiet. There were always sunbeds available. The staff ran activities through the day, and you could do some aqua aerobics, play bingo, darts competitions....that sort of thing. Bars The bar was spotless and very nice, though it didn't get used much as everyone tended to stay outside. Location The hotel is perfectly located just a short stroll from the *****. It's about 10 minutes walk from the beach and a nice half hour stroll to the old town.

Just back from our 10th visit..we love the Venus, however noticed that they are allowing groups of young guys (and girls) they never used to. Unfortunately, one particular group were using language that was absolutely disgusting. They were loud and loutish and a total embarrassment, I was ashamed to be British. I thought the choice of food in the buffet not as good as it used to be which was a bit disappointing. That said, we will be back. The staff were lovely as always and the hotel is spotless with a fabulous pool area and the location is fab, just hope they sort out the appalling behaviour of the ones who spoil it for everyone else

This was our 4th visit. The hotel overall is still good but beware, they are now allowing large groups in. Some were noisy around the pool, spilling beer in the water and were loud in the rooms at night, my friend got no sleep. However, putting that aside we were happy with the hotel. Food is brilliant and the restaurant is bright and spotless with friendly staff. The pool area is great with plenty of sunbeds and parasols at any time of day. No need to do the sunbed dash although some still did. I would definitely book again

This was our 2nd stay at the Venus Hotel and another excellent stay! Room was great with a hot and powerful shower, shampoo/gel and hairdryer in the bathroom. Safe was free and easy to use. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Always something for everyone to eat and some nights were ‘themed’. Breakfast was excellent and plenty of food throughout. Plenty of sunbeds available regardless of what time of day you go down to the pool. Lovely hotel, clean public areas and lots of happy families🙂. See you again soon! We will be back.

Location On a minor street near Jokers bar. Four mins from promenade & beach with shops nearer. Lots of bars & clubs in close vicinity but far enough away not to cause a nuisance or noise. Although you can get taxis from the hotel reception there is a taxi rank at the first junction if you turn right outside the hotel. Reception & hotel Efficient, polite, helpful & courteous. Free WIFI throughout the hotel. Security is a top priority. You need your room key to gain access to pool area, toilets and some of the lifts. Room Of adequate size with sufficient drawer & shelf space. Three lights in bedroom and good ceiling lights in bathroom. Good water pressure & plenty of hot water. Towels changed as required. TV with a few English channels including BBC1 & 2 but no ITV channels. Free safe of a size to take an iPad. Pool area Pleanty of space and able to get sunbeds at any time. Pool towels available at reception at no charge. Bar & Lounge Bar serves the outside area as well from opening in wall. There are waiters inside during the evening or you can go to the bar yourself. Prices are very reasonable: Bottle water €1.30 Bottle soft drink €2.20 Pint (Amstel) €3.50 Coffee €1.70 Entertainment every evening from 8:30pm. Restaurant Not a great deal of choice at dinner but sufficient and tasty. Breakfast has the usual choice of cereals, cold meats & full English. Fruit juices & drinks machines for which there were no queues. I tried to get a white coffee from a machine. It comes out as half a cup of coffee solo, whichever machine you use. You have to fill the cup with hot milk to get a proper white coffee with resultant waste of milk. Managed to get a table for each meal. The restaurant staff are excellent - plates cleared extremely efficiently and tables reset quickly. Car Park Under the hotel with a daily charge. There are 155 places. For some reason the hotel gave me space 76 which was the lower of the two car park levels with access down a steep ramp and bend. Space 76 is the furthest from the hotel entry point. I have no idea why I was given this parking spot when there was not a single other car on the lower level and only 3 on the upper level. My recommendation would be to ask for a space on the upper level if you are driving. Overall Well managed hotel, staff helpful & courteous, easy to get sunbeds, reasonably priced drinks and in a good location.
