Indura Beach & Golf Resort. Curio Collection by Hilton

Indura Beach & Golf Resort. Curio Collection by Hilton

Tela|8.42km from city center
I reached out to arrange airport transport prior to my visit. It was a relief to see my name on a sign, & I was so grateful I arranged for the hotel to take me 1.5-2 hrs from SAP. The setting of Indura is gorgeous. It is in a national park, & the resort has beautiful indoor/outdoor spaces & ocean views. The boardwalks leading to the rooms meander through beautiful, tropical plantings. It is spectacular. When I checked in, they put a black bracelet on my wrist to signify I’m a Hilton Diamond member. I asked why I needed a bracelet & was told there were discounts, which they didn’t clarify. Most of the time, there was a discount on food, except my last dinner, when the Front Desk person insisted there was no discount for Hilton Diamond members. It would have been helpful to receive a note at check-in stating what the bracelet signified & make sure all staff are aware of what guests are told when they check in. There was a communication barrier with some of the staff who were not able to communicate with me using google translate to Spanish or when I pointed to what I wanted to order on the menu. Unfortunately, they typically brought things that were more expensive than what I ordered. I didn’t understand why I bothered ordering since I was given something else…what if I was allergic? The food was good when I got what I ordered, & I loved the ceviche! The resort didn’t have many guests for a few days, & there wasn’t a breakfast buffet. I ordered Honduran breakfasts, which were great. The breakfast buffet was available on the weekend & was good. The front desk staff was helpful getting me a taxi to escort me to the Botanical Gardens, Tela & back to Indura. The taxi driver, Javier was great, & I arranged for him to take me back to the airport. I had a massage & facial, which was wonderful. I asked about signing for my services & was told I didn’t need to. On the final bill, the total amount seemed correct for the services + tip, but I would prefer to make sure the lovely lady who provided the services got a tip. Since I had plenty of time, I wanted to check out the golf course cafe/bar. I walked over one day, but it was closed. I checked with the front desk before walking over again, but I was told it was open only for drinks. It would be super helpful to include availability when guests use the QR code. I spent some time lounging by the pool. It is a beautiful space, but there are many dislodged tiles. I hope they fix these soon! Overall, it was a nice visit, but there are many areas that could use improvement like communication with guests about the Diamond bracelet & making sure the staff understands a guest’s order. Due to all the confusion, I checked the bills at checkout. Someone else’s bill was put on my tab, which they removed once it was clear the signatures did not match. They also adjusted the bill due to charges that didn’t reflect what I ordered. It was a hassle to deal with these issues, but eventually they were sorted out.

Indura Beach & Golf Resort. Curio Collection by Hilton

Tela|9.76km from SOLUTEC
