4 Must-visit places in Shanghai😍

This city has the ability to make you feel like you are in many places at once, traveling the world with every turn of a corner. When traveling to Shanghai these 4 places should definitely be on the list to visit. If you are culturally curious like me then this post will inspire you to get on a plane and go explore these top 4. Tianzifang - Multiple alleyways crossing paths with one another will make you feel as if you are stuck in an arts and crafts maze. In the different alleyways you will find tiny restaurants with a combination of Western and Chinese food, art markets, snack shops that showcase snacks specifically to Shanghai so if you have the urge to try something else this is your chance. Teamlabs Borderless - Hands down the most breath-taking experience ever! Teamlabs is an interactive art exhibition showcased in a big warehouse. Most of it is digital and when you touch it, it will change shape, direction or color.Inside you’ll find a magical world that has no boundaries and no map to follow. There are no directions, you walk down dark corridors and simply choose a room to enter, who knows what you might find. Another cool thing is that the rooms constantly change so if you return to the same room later, it would be something completely different. Former French Concession - Once a foreign concession in Shanghai from 1849 – 1943. You’ll be surprised to learn that very few French people actually lived in this neighbourhood, it mainly consisted out of Americans, Brits, Russians and Chinese people, yet it became known as the “Paris of the East” during the 1920s.It has since expanded into what it is today, a big courtyard surrounded by ice-cream parlours, western restaurants and boutiques. The courtyard still has most of the original architecture in place and gives a huge European feel, it is a guarded area and they go through great lengths to keep the history intact. Nanjing Shopping Road - CALLING ALL SHOPAHOLICS!! This road will make your shopping dreams come true. The longest shopping road in Shanghai and one of the busiest shopping streets in the world along with Fifth Avenue and Times Square. Ironically there is a building located at an intersection on this road that has a great resemblance to the Flat Iron building in New York. The road has many different shops on both sides including Zara, H&M, Lulu Lemon, Pandora, M&M Factory and many more.
