We arrived at Melbourne airport at the crack of dawn on a Sunday, after a 23 hour slog from Vienna with another 4 hours to go until we reached our destination. We were served great espressos and delicious breakfast, presented in an environment that made us feel briefly like adult humans again. Special kudos to Jo who, despite it being the crack of dawn on a Sunday, was very happy and friendly and made us feel welcome and looked after.

    Service was very slow while some staff talked on their phones, and then there was a 30 minute wait for food. Beer was cold, that was the only positive I cold find.

    Negative reviews ae true. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. We had half hour to spend waiting to board our flight so we decided to head off for a drink at Little Ludlow as we frequent the bar at Southbank and I particularly enjoy their cocktails. My partner ordered a pint of beer and a margarita for me. Filipino/Asian looking guy was the RUDEST server he's ever experienced. After telling his order the guy only proceeded to stare at him and stare at the clock. Maybe thinking the cocktail was an effort to make? Like really? If i'm paying twice the price of a pint of beer for a drink I think we deserve a bit of proper customer service. He acted lke he was reluctant to make the drink and he was looking toward the ceiling thinking wether he should make the drink or not? To the point where there was along pause and my partner had to ask him "Is there a problem?" And then my partner asked if he can make the margarita on the sweteter side (as I like my drink sweet) and the server replied "i'll see what I can do" his mannerism and demeanor was extremely negative. We did nohave a good experience. I really hope management does something about this and does not just shrug this complaint off. There's no need to be rude to people who are not rude to you. Giving 2 stars coz the drink he madsaid was good, if it wasn't I would've returned it, asked for a refund and gave this place 1 stars. Please train this particular person, the other staff were really good and pleasant. Very disappointed.

    Undoubtedly the worst eggs Benedict i have ever tried to consume. Burnt muffin processed ham with LOTS of white sickening slop called sauce. I was asked how was it. I gently explained my concern the waiter crossed his arms didnt want to hear... oh well.. put some heart into your food guys
