"We enjoyed our stay up until the day of our checkout. We were running a bit late so I phoned reception to request a later checkout around 12. The receptionist informed me that they were not allowing any late checkouts. So we hurried around and managed to checkout on time. We then loaded our vehicle and sat down to have a coffee. While having a coffee we noticed many people checking out after 11am. Also I have not received my receipt yet. Would you please check into this for me. The picture is of sunset from our room. They also offer activities such as Historical Jail Tour, walking to bars with other travellers (I cannot remember what they call it), and cookies decoration (during the Christmas season). Friendly and helpful staff. Affordable price."

"hotel was nice and clean! it’s walking distance to the byward market- only issue is parking if you have a pickup truck the garage parking only accommodates trucks and SUVS on the first floor and if that’s not available you will have to park at the mall parking right across the hotel."

"The hotel is conveniently located in downtown, close to the Parliament. The reception staff were very accommodating, and while the hallway was a bit dark, it had a pleasant scent. Our room was clean, fresh-smelling, and the bathroom was modern and spotless. The property also offers great amenities like a gym and a game room. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back."

"The breakfast is very good. Although it is frozen fruit, it is also a good way for travelers to supplement fiber. The bed is a bit soft, which makes my back and waist sore. The room is simple but clean, and the bathroom is in good condition."

"A short walk from Parliament Station, the Sheraton gave us a spacious room. However, there was no kettle to boil water for tea - we used the coffee maker instead. There was some kind of problem with the pipes in the wall, meaning a shopvac had to be left running in the hallway outside our room 24hr/d. The carpet in our closet next to the bathroom was always soaked, probably because of the problem. Perhaps because it was near Centretown, we had one or two homeless or disturbed people on the sidewalks near the hotel. This made it uncomfortable for me to approach with my children because of their random mutterings and throwing of drink bottles. However this only happened twice during our weeklong stay. Staff were very friendly, nice and helpful, and sharply dressed."

"The location was great, and the atmosphere was lively, like a student dormitory. The hot water worked well too. It was easy to access downtown Ottawa via the Rideau Canal."

"For my first time staying overnight at Ottawa, I booked a hotel room for one night at Lord Elgin. Upon arriving early at the hotel, I was provided with a room before my check-in time - which was very appreciated. The facilities are clean and the staff is friendly. However, little did we know, our room on the 7th floor was connected to another room with adjoining doors. We were unable to sleep through the night as the room had little to no sound isolation from the connecting room, in which a baby was crying all night. I am baffled as to how we were able to hear every single noise: coughing and sneezing from the parents in the other room, their toilet flushing and the baby crying throughout the entire night. We were unable to sleep comfortably and woke up with splitting headaches. I booked this hotel to be the closest possible to the Rideau Canal Skateway, but I will have to find another hotel the next time."

"Good environment. Two large bed mattresses are very comfortable, all kinds of supplies are very hygienic, and the service is good. From registration, storage, halfway use, and use of the car, they have received thoughtful and enthusiastic services. Very satisfied. Easy to reach by foot,"
