GGuest UserThis trip to Perth, I stayed in three hotels in total, and this one for 5 days was my favorite and offered the best value for money. The room wasn't huge, but it felt spacious. The staff were very polite. Initially, I thought they only provided two bottles of water daily, but then I found a card in the bathroom stating that guests could refill water on the first floor! We just didn't notice it earlier. There are many delicious and affordable restaurants nearby, and some beautiful buildings too. Plus, the free Red Cat bus to the city center is conveniently close. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

GGuest UserI booked a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment for four nights in mid-June. It was spacious enough for a couple with two teenage boys. The kitchenware was very clean, and toiletries were plentiful, though slippers were not provided, so remember to bring your own. The front desk staff were on duty 24/7, very friendly, and patiently provided information.
The location is super convenient. There's a bus stop right downstairs. Cross the road to catch buses to Kings Park, the Hay Street shopping area, and the museum. There are many buses, and these areas are within the free bus zone, so you don't even need to tap your card to board.
About 100 meters down the road, there's a 24-hour supermarket, and a bit further, an IGA supermarket that's open until 9 PM, with a wide variety of goods.
Langley Park is just a 10-minute walk away.
Highly recommended.

GGuest UserThis was the most pleasant surprise of our Australia trip! The hotel's location is fantastic, with shopping and transport links right next door. The breakfast offers incredible value for money, and the room size was decent. They even provide a pillow menu with different types to choose from, and a Nespresso machine with good quality capsules – miles better than the Pan Pacific! The staff were very welcoming and even spoke Chinese. The steakhouse and Italian restaurant nearby are both excellent. It's a shame we only stayed one night.
Oh, and a quick note on the hotel's pre-authorization: the refund was processed instantly. Hotels in other cities and the Pan Pacific I stayed at before still hadn't refunded me even after I'd returned home.

RRhiannon SampsonM husband and I stayed here for our 1st wedding anniversary and have had the best time! We got a bottle of sparkling wine once we had settled into our room. The bed is very comfortable, we love the slippers and the room service came quicker than we expected and was delicious with a generous serving. The buffet breakfast was included in the deal we got and was incredible! A highlight for me was the fresh fruit/ veggie juice we could make for ourselves!! The pastries were delectable and the fresh baked sourdough was still warm!! 😍
We will be staying here again and longer next time!!!

GGuest UserHi , YHA Fremantle Prison,
Wow! What an amazing experience and im so glad i stayed here, and thankyou so much for being so accommadting and understanding , and well for letting me book with late notice and guided me to after hours checkin, and well the guy who was working after hours on the 31st May Sunday night,...... 💯👌🙏❤️ so welcoming and was down to earth, and made me feel good about the whole.stay and just a very calming presence and over the phone also , very understanding and reassured me to not stress and be safe and to get here when i get here. He was thankful i got there at reasonable hour, cosidering it was after 9pm , was travelling from the city and through the storm so it was 10.30pm maybe a little after 10.45pm,...... and so he was very grateful but very good about me being a late check in , as i rang to make sure i was able to stay without a passport. I.was very happy to find that i could book without passport 🙏🥹💯❤️👌
I had the best night sleep, the best shower before bed, the facilities were amazing and the whole experience was beyond my expectations and exceeded all my thoughts of what was to be.
I cant thank you guys enough! I will be back! Im staying longer next time so i can explore the Fremantle Prison as i have wanted to now for many.of years and the canal tour also ive wanted.to always do. The grounds, the care , the information on history , on every wall, evey building, everything was to standard and presentation that was 11/10 👌💯 brillant! I am and was well impressed! And cant wait to stay again and with a little more pre planning and booking earlier on and having a bit more a plan next trip.
As my stay at YHA was very last minute , and because i missed my TransWA bus back to Kojonup.....😏
And well my decision to go up to Perth was very last minute and decision made only 2 days prior to going , and so as it was last minute decision and well i had an idea of a plan of where and who to see while up there, as being last minute things always dont go to plan and so when those moments happened i just rolled with the punches and went with the flow of things, and trusted my gut instinct and trusted my journey and the journey in life i am and well was on while in Perth and so all roads had led me to where i was meant to be , and well all fell into plaxe and worked out in the end and so im grateful beyond words! Truely and honestly 🥹🙏❤️💯😊
Thanks again , and wow amazing stay! And highly recommend! Thankyou so much for the feeling of saftey also being a single female traveller on her own. That also km very appreciative of and grateful beyonds words, so thankyou ❤️🥹
Thanks again
Kind regards

KKelly.SWe recently stayed at Wonil Hotel for a weekend getaway with my toddler, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience overall.
We arrived late in the evening and were advised at check-in that there was no parking available, despite the booking information stating that parking was available and no reservation was required. As a solo parent travelling with a young child and luggage, this created a very stressful start to our stay. It took us 4 trips up and down between the basement and the room, and no assistance was offered by staff at check in.
Soon after we transferred our luggage to the room, around 9pm, I had to drive along Hackett Drive towards Matilda Bay Restaurant to search for street parking. As a parent travelling alone with a toddler, I did not feel comfortable leaving my car there overnight. I then had to carry my child and walk several hundred metres back to the hotel in the dark, which was quite upsetting and honestly made me feel unsafe.
During our stay, I could also regularly hear staff chatting at reception and complaining about other guests, which did not feel professional or welcoming.
The hotel itself is relatively new and the location is excellent — close to the foreshore, playgrounds, walking trails and restaurants — which was the main reason I chose it. However, the overall build quality and room presentation were disappointing. Our bathroom sink was leaking, and there were visible cracks and defects in the bench and fittings.
Before booking, I genuinely thought this could become one of our regular weekend getaway spots because the location has so much potential. Unfortunately, after this experience, I would not feel comfortable returning as a solo parent travelling with a child again.

KKwoonOaks Perth Hotel – Pros & Cons
Pros
- Excellent CBD location, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, Perth Train Station, Elizabeth Quay, and the free CAT buses.
- Spacious rooms with a kitchenette.
- Comfortable beds, clean rooms, and friendly staff.
- Good value for money.
- Our Deluxe Studio was quiet as it did not face the main street.
- Special thanks to Shani, who was warm and welcoming, and provided us with lots of helpful information that made us feel comfortable throughout our 9 days 8 nights stay.
Cons
- Bathroom is dated, with no handheld shower and some mold in the bathtub corner.
- No on-site parking, but the hotel offers an unlimited-entry nearby parking (just opposite the hotel- raine sq car park) pass for AUD30/day.
Overall
A great value hotel for exploring Perth. For a quieter stay, choose a Deluxe Studio or a room away from Murray Street.

YYugetongI arrived at the airport in the evening and stayed one night nearby before picking up a rental car the next morning for a self-drive trip north. The hotel is close to the airport and offers a free shuttle bus, which is great!
Service: You need to call the front desk for the shuttle after arriving, which was a bit of a challenge for my English listening skills, especially since the pick-up spot wasn't exactly as described online. Luckily, Perth Airport isn't too big.
The next morning, I took the shuttle back to the airport to pick up my car, again for free. This is a huge plus in high-cost Australia 👍
Environment: The hotel is located by the highway, but the courtyard is quiet and clean.
Hygiene: The windows in the room couldn't be opened, and there was a strong smell of cleaning solution that wouldn't dissipate. Other than that, everything else was fine.

DDorrrThe hotel has a bread maker and a great environment. The location is excellent, making it convenient for getting around and dining. The room was very clean, with good natural light and ventilation. The bed was just the right firmness, ensuring a good night's sleep. The front desk staff were friendly, and check-in and check-out were efficient. The WiFi was stable, and there was plenty of hot water in the bathroom. Overall, it exceeded my expectations and is highly recommended for both leisure and business trips.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is in a very convenient downtown location. The front desk staff were quick to respond and had great service. The room was generally clean and had amenities like a bathtub and a mini-fridge. However, the toiletries like shower gel weren't restocked promptly, so it's best to check if there's enough in advance.
