Long Museum (Pudong)

The Long Art Museum in Shanghai has two large-scale venues in Pudong and Xuhui Riverside, Pudong Museum and West Bank Museum, forming a unique "one city and two museums" art ecology, and is the largest and most powerful private art museum in mainland China to date.

This art museum is divided into the west bank and the east bank. The building is simple and atmospheric, very distinctive. There are many master works in it, and there are also abstract concept art works on display. It is very artistic and convenient.

Long Art Museum (West Bank Museum) is located in Xuhui District, Shanghai, on the banks of the Huangpu River. The site was previously a coal terminal. At the beginning of the design, the site also retained a 110-meter long coal funnel unloading bridge built in the 1950s, 10 meters wide and 8 meters high. It is also preserved, along with two floors of underground garages, which were completed two years ago.

It was a memorable trip to West Bound Museum in this past summer. My journey of viewing abstract paintings and ceramics in the exhibition made the simple, atmospheric architecture appears more intimate to me. Specially feeling the warm breeze from the river while I was standing, I felt like as if the passing of time became slower.
