The Old Town Hall of Munich was built before 1874 on the east side of the hall of Maria Square, which was built in 1392 during the Renaissance and rebuilt to become the neo-Gothic Old Town Hall. The spire was used as a gate by the past. It was badly damaged during World War II and was not rebuilt until 1971. The new building is currently used by city council representatives. There is a toy museum in the building and you need to pay for the in-house visit ~
