Walking along the cool forest is a pleasant thing in the summer. But if you are carrying very small children (in early childhood), it may not be very good because after a while they will feel tired. If this is the case, take the bus. Bigger kids will find it fun. We saw very cute raccoons on the way. The view from the cabin was fantastic, although Montreal is a city that doesn’t look very nice! There is a lot of grey concrete. There is no cafe in the cabin, shame for that, only vending machines and souvenir shops. Obviously they are providing coffee and food in ''Les Amis de la Montagne'' and need to walk 10 minutes from the cabin, but we didn't go. There is an outdoor piano on the huge terrace, the atmosphere is great and you can breathe the air in the fresh "mountain"! We didn't go to the pavilion and Beaver Lake because we went a little late that day
