Located in the Garden of Prince Street, Edinburgh, near the Waverley Railway Station, the Scott Memorial Tower was built in Victorian Gothic style in 1844 in memory of Scott, a writer. Scott, a famous British historical novelist and poet, suffered from polio at an early age. The monument tower is 61.11 meters high, with four small minarets arched around the central tower. The bottom of the tower is surrounded by arches. In the center of the tower stands a statue of Scott in white marble. He is wearing a robe and sleeping beside his dog. All 64 heroes in his works are sculpted around the tower.
