The Melbourne War Memorial was built in 1934 in the King's Land of Melbourne, across the road from the Royal Botanic Gardens, a large memorial. This solemn building adopts the Greek classical design style. The reliefs on the front of the memorial are based on the pattern of the goddess of peace in ancient Greek mythology. There is a square in front of the memorial, and there is a monument at the north end of the square. There is a statue of the warrior carrying the bodies of the victims on the top of the monument. There is a altar of flame next to the monument. The balcony of this pyramid-shaped rooftop building offers a clear view of the north shore of Melbourne city centre and Swanston Street.

Meaningful and educational visit, free access to the galleries (including on the first and second World War, and Australia's role in peacekeeping) which have a wealth of collection of artefacts and explanatory videos.

On the streets of Melbourne, a majestic building stands here, as if bringing ancient Greek shrines into the modern city. This is the Melbourne War Memorial, whose exterior is modeled on the Greek temple and solemnly tells the world a history. A continent that has not experienced war, but its role in the First and Second World Wars cannot be ignored. He is not only a building, but also people's yearning for and nostalgia for peace. The worst peace is better than war, because peace is the one where we all sleep peacefully and hope.

Just next to the Royal Botanic Garden in Melbourne, the Botanic Garden accidentally walked here. A memorial built on a small earth slope can be raised and looked far away. If you visit the Botanic Garden, you can take a look at it by the way. There is no need to run here.

Beautiful Serene Building inside and out. Very fitting tribute to those how have served throughout the years all over the world. Interesting exhibitions on the lower floor and peaceful shrine on upper level. Lovely views of parkland and gardens from the top outer balcony. A must if visiting Melbourne.

A very well made memorial to Australia's veterans and dead of various wars. Peaceful, and at 5pm they lower the flag to the tune of the Last Post. Interesting museum inside.
