The Shanghai City God Temple is a Taoist temple complex located in what was the Old City of Shanghai. The temple and surrounding area are favorite locations for tourists, with countless small shops selling all manner of small goods. Though understood to be primarily a tourist area, it is nonetheless a must-see destination for anyone visiting Shanghai. Here you can fully appreciate the city's folk traditions and taste authentic Shanghai snacks. Every night, the colorful decorative lights on the ancient-style buildings are very beautiful. You won't want to pass up the chance to take some memorable photos.
Town God's Temple tourism area is the Shanghai municipal government since 1991, began to transform the Town God's Temple market into a traditional modern large-scale tourist shopping center ---- Yu Garden mall. The roads in the mall are narrow. Most of the buildings were built before 1911 (that is, the late Qing Dynasty). They have strong style and characteristics of Chinese ancient buildings. There are many small shops in the mall, with a wide range of goods and unique features.
In the new year of spring, the annual Town God's Temple Lantern Festival is coming, and the auspicious meaning of the zodiac pig makes the main character of this year's Lantern more joyous. A cartoon pig and a pig's round jade run look like it seems to bring the rolling revenue of the pig cage into the water. The lanterns on the lake of Jiuquqiao are different from the themes of historical allusions in the past years. It's surprising that a group of architectural lanterns have been changed to show the height of the new Shanghai. We love the ancient side of the city and love the ever-changing speed of Shanghai.
The night view is very beautiful here. You can go to see the Yu Garden in Town God's Temple during the day. You can also try the characteristics over there.
One of the hottest scenic spots in Shanghai is the old-fashioned scenic spot along the way. Nanxiang Xiaolangbao and Green Wave Corridor are the most recommended restaurants. But I prefer the green corridor, queuing for an hour!
The Chenghuangmiao in Shanghai is also a must-go temple. It is old and prosperous. All kinds of shopping malls, Department stores, stalls, jade bracelets, special products and crafts are worth visiting and tasting.
It's worth visiting. For a piece of food, the snack square is very special.
A sea of people, my God! No feeling! It's a lot of people. Shanghai natives will not come here to visit! You're scared to death by the crowds!
Nanxiang steamed bun is delicious, tastes good and has a better service attitude * ^ O^*
