Overall, this stay was just average! The hotel boasts a fantastic view, and the surrounding area is convenient for dining and shopping. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the window offered a wide view. The front desk staff were reasonably friendly and recommended nearby attractions. The breakfast had a good variety of options and was decent in taste.

Centrally located hotel near Leidseplein, within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Tram station is just across the street for access to wider part of Amsterdam. Clean room and spacious enough for family with the 2 double beds.

The hotel's location is excellent, right by the square and Queen's Department Store. I highly recommend it; getting around is super convenient. The staff were all very friendly and helpful (except for a few in the restaurant who seemed to be from Southeast Asia; they spoke to you as if they were scolding you, and their attitude was quite rude, which really detracted from the overall staff image). Breakfast was quite plentiful, and the room size was decent and quiet. However, due to the layout, you could only fully open one large suitcase without it getting in the way of walking.

Excellent room, excellent location and atmosphere of the hotel. Staff however, too often, go according to the 'book', and find it hard to think and improvise on the spot. It's as if they are under trained. When checking in there is no need to ask the guest to fill info on the iPad. You have this info, to stay in touch, already. Don't burden the weary traveler with trivial nonsense. If the sun shines, finally after weeks of grey and rain, and a guest sees the patio with tables in the sun, and this guest wants to have tea in the sun outside in the patio, this has to be a possibility. Don't say, well it's not the season so it's closed, it doesn't make sense, you're a top hotel, not the vander Valk. Improvise, think on your feet, explain that he is welcome to sit there and that his tea will be brought out, but it might take a few minutes longer. This way the guest feels listened to and that the moon is even possible. The kitchen is incredible, the food is wonderful. Last evening I had dinner at the Jansz., two ladies working, were very kind, helpful and attentive, they understood the delicate balance between asking how things are going and leaving the guest alone. I want them to know i appreciate them. Please extend my gratitude to them. Also the Asian looking lady who worked during breakfast this morning, was excellent. Please let her know as well. Finally, the staff at the entrance - getting cabs etc. - are great. Some of the male staff are too - in Dutch, popy yoopy. I am your guest and not your friend. That's all, and that's enough. Thank you for a great stay and I hope to come back again when I am back in the Netherlands. Kind regards, Diederik Lugt

The hotel's location is excellent. The staff were very attentive. It's a clean and well-maintained hotel. The breakfast was fantastic. The only downside was that the room facing the back was a bit noisy at night due to the bars by the river. That noise was a little disturbing. Everything else was great.

Great location, close to the train station and the city's main attractions. There's a tram stop nearby, and you can be in the museum district in just 10 minutes. We were able to check in earlier than expected, and the room looked just like the pictures. It was clean, but very basic – no slippers or tissues. This is the first time I've stayed in a 4-star hotel room without cups (just glasses) and teaspoons (just wooden stirrers). Instant coffee in the room for a 4-star hotel is pretty underwhelming; usually, at this level, you get pour-over coffee or a Nespresso machine. The price is high, but for the same money, you'd get a much higher standard in a 4-star hotel in neighboring Belgium.

Location is great! with walking distance to Museums and main shopping and dining areas of Amsterdam. Nearest tram is Museumplein, and about 5-10mins walk. Room was small and toilet was quite tight, with basic shampoo and shower gel only, but spending most time outdoor exploring it didn’t matter much. Bed was comfortable and warm for the winter - opened the windows for better ventilation, overall good. They have an elevator, that helps bringing luggages easier to upper floors.

I have been living this place for 2 nights and I would say the staffs are friendly to everyone and was proactive to solve the issue that I have encountered. The location has some distance to the city centre but the railway can bring you everywhere so that was a big concern. The improvements would be the showing facilities as I went there to get shower at the mean times the light was automatically switched off and that was scary if people didn’t bring their own phone that would be an security concern

My overall experience staying at this hotel in Amsterdam was excellent. The hotel is conveniently located near Amsterdam Noord station, making it easy to access after exiting the station. It's a quick subway ride to Centraal Station, and major city attractions like the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum are easily reachable by public transport. The hotel itself offered a good stay, with comfortable rooms. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise; both the variety and taste were great, and I enjoyed it every morning. Overall, this hotel offers convenient transportation, a consistent and pleasant stay, and delicious breakfast. I would definitely recommend it to friends visiting Amsterdam in the future.

No downsides at all. The lobby is like a museum, very unique, and coffee and tea are complimentary. The room was clean and odor-free, the bed was soft, and it definitely felt newly renovated. The staff were friendly and polite. However, the price is a bit high; I think around 800 would be more reasonable for a king-sized bed.

This is a local Dutch hotel, and all facilities seem to be designed for people around 2 meters tall. For instance, to hang up clothes, you practically have to jump to reach the hanger. The showerhead in the bathroom isn't height-adjustable and sprays directly at your forehead.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, right across from the train station, and within walking distance to the old town and [***]. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of choices, and the front desk staff (pictured in photo 9) provided exceptionally great service. With a gym and pool, it's definitely a top-tier four-star hotel, even surpassing many five-star hotels in Europe. The only minor drawback was that during our three-day stay, the room cleaning staff did a superficial job and the room wasn't thoroughly cleaned.

This hotel is a great value, especially compared to the expensive options near Amsterdam Centraal. It's super close to Sloterdijk Station, and if you have a Eurail Pass, the train ride is free! The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, with excellent ventilation and natural light. Breakfast, while not a huge variety, was very good quality. I'd suggest adding conditioner to the amenities. On the downside, the front desk staff seemed a bit stiff, and a housekeeper knocked on my door early on checkout day, which was disruptive. I hope they can improve their service.

Overall, this was a great stay. The staff were lovely, the rooms were neat and tidy, the amenities were great. We didn’t take advantage of the rooftop in the evening but they did have a rooftop cinema evening which seemed cool whilst the breakfast also was very good. The gym was brand new which was great and the sauna although red light and not as hot as it could be was fine and clean. The views in the room were incredible and access into the CBD was easy to use the tram (tap on and off with your card). Little further out than I would have liked for the city but being there a few days meant we could explore more. They had lots going on and many people to help.
