Excellent stay from start to finish. Very helpful staff at reception and concierge desk. Ample breakfast (though crowded during a holiday weekend). Large room with work space, TV, a sofa and armchair. Our room faced the street, and there was some noise, but it ended before we turned in. We were in town for the Christmas markets which is one of Germany's best. Well, we couldn't have picked a better place to stay than here. The hotel opens directly upon the central square which is where one of the markets is located. The other major market is just a few steps further across the street. Unfortunately, we weren't given a view room and our room really didn't have a view, but it was comfortable with all the amenities you might expect. We were traveling by car so a big plus was the underground public garage with direct elevator access to the hotel.FromHK$813

The breakfast is very good, the room is spacious, the surroundings are excellent, the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Opera House are all within walking distance, and there is a large shoppping mall across the street, which has a lot of brands and a lot of food. Hotel service and environment are very good, check in is very smooth, the front desk staff is polite and humorous. The room is fully equipped, the curtains are very good for shade, the mattress is moderately soft and hard, and there are additional disinfection and epidemic prevention measures during the epidemic. The breakfast is also very rich, 12.5 The price of Euro is very close to the people. Vaccine passports will be checked and information registered before meals, and the dining environment is very quiet. We stayed in this hotel twice during the last month. The first time we had a little suite on the top floor of the Bastei. This was fine, if a little bare. Checkin and breakfast were fine. The second time we found ourselves in the annex, the Konigstein. Check in at the Bastei was poor with 20 minute queue. The annex had a fast food stall across the front and entry is by room card. The lift was dirty when we arrived and smelled of vaping and did not work properly. The impression is of an unmanned operation. The room was on the 6th floor and was noisy during the evening, from the very busy street below. At breakfast we were instructed to sit at a table already occupied by another guest and the staff member was aggressive with us saying the nicer tables were all for groups. No sign of these by the time we left of course. Also over-zealous table clearing, go to the buffet for more and your cutlery and coffee are gone. So better check in, maybe safes in the better rooms, and some serious staff training about customer service, rather than bullying.FromHK$511

We spent seven nights in Dorint Dresden for a private stay in Dresden. A major advantage of this hotel is its traffic-friendly location: the old town with its attractions is in a footing distance, the tram driving in Dresden at close distances holds almost outside the door. The hotel itself is not new, but the public areas make a well-treated impression and our standard room to the indoor courtyard on the second floor was clean, spacious and very quiet. The room design is originated from another time, which has not disturbed us, but modernisation should necessarily be accompanied by additional sticks. The service in the house was professional, the staff were friendly and accessible to the guests' concerns at any time. The breakfast offer was in line with the ”international standard” for a hotel of this category, the fresh egg food and the associated supplements were much better than in many other hotels. Critically, the great offer of sauce and bakery products in Dresden and the surroundings was only extremely limited - backbrushes, cutting etc. were acceptable standard products as they exist everywhere, But with which you don't even get off. Damn. The high prices in the deep garage (17 Euros per day) criticized in other reviews can easily be handled with a 10 Euro cheaper parking behind the hotel. However, this price policy is incomprehensible. On the house policy of non-cleaning of rooms for sustainability reasons, note: The daily cleaning of rooms can be logged in at check-in - you are explicitly asked by the receptionist - that then works without any mistake. It is only strange that Dorint does not give incentives to refrain from cleaning - targeting a bad consciousness is rather contraproductive. Finally, the daily opening of the bar in a well-booked hotel should be obvious. The bar staff makes a great job. Overall, Dorint Dresden is very recommendable for a short stay, even if there and there is still ”air up”. We would come back.FromHK$778

This hotel was chosen for its location near the old city. The hotel is new and everything is very bright and cheerful. The rooms are somewhat smaller than other Melia hotels, but this may be due to the Innside branding. However, the room certainly served us well. We could walk everywhere that we wanted in Dresden. It was also conveniently located near a Lidl grocery store where would get snacks and drinks. With its location to the Altstadt, there were restaurants everywhere. The Dresden Frauenkirche was just a few steps from the hotel. We booked our room with the included breakfast. The breakfast was very good, and there were adequate selections. This hotel proved to be an excellent choice for Dresden.FromHK$983

Slept like a log and rarely disturbed by any noises from the outside such as trams/motorbikes. Neither did I hear a thing from the adjacent rooms/the room on top of me. I suppose it's the addition of the inner room door that made the soundproofing better, and perhaps quality carpet was used. Aircon is great, with a great sized minibar. Easy 15 min tram from the Hauptbahnhoff and, as others have noted, highly accessible to both the old and new towns. Don't miss the old-town-sights but as others have mentioned check out the new town as well. Louisenstrasse is about a 10 minute walk but gives you a great neighborhoody feel w/ lots of little eateries, shops and the like. The first night we ate dinner in old town at a touristy place and I wish we'd explored here instead! Anyway, back to the Bilderberg... rooms are a reasonable price and nicely updated. Overall the location feels central but we also got a quiet night's sleep. Apparently there is a rave across the river most weekend evenings that peters out about 10pm with a fireworks display which we could see from our room. Breakfast was worth the upcharge. We have checked in with friends and parents for 3 nights. I wrote by mouth months ago that I wish the suites are next to each other or nearby. Unfortunately, it didn't work, although we were already there at 13.30 clock, and the check at only 15 clock. You didn't show any interest in clarifying that. After we were able to get our suites , we were drawn attention by the young man to the fact that we have to pay immediately ( 3 pairs - 6 people ) . We had to indicate our credit card as a guarantee when booking and could not understand why we had to pay immediately. After paying, I went to the Felix Bar, which is part of it. I ordered drinks there. When I wanted to pay, I was asked if I wanted to write it to our suite. I answered that I had to pay everything so urgently at the arrival. I then paid the drinks in cash and I didn't go to this bar with our friends. To coffee .... I asked in advance by email whether we had the coffee capsules in the room. Then I was told that it has a lot of it available in all kinds. We had a xxl suite with 2 bedrooms to four and had tea capsules and only 2 coffee capsules in the room - a great breakfast 🙈 We then bought in the corner of the capsules in the rewe . The room was never controlled all day, waste was full, toilet paper was not enough, etc ... Very bad, the location is great, the facilities are OK, but the staff is untrained and totally unmotivated. Beautiful property with underground parking located within walking distance of the old town. Stunning bedroom (upgrade given) which was well furnished and very clean. Welcome drink was offered on arrival. On arrival there was water, fruit in the room. There was a kettle but very small quantity of tea/coffee which was not replaced on the 2nd day. We were very honoured to meet the GM Herr Ralf Kutzner. He invited us to cocktails in the bar were we had a very interesting conversation about careers, travel experiences etc. An extremely enjoyable time. Thank you. We had dinner on our second night in the restaurant and it was a very enjoyable experience. We loved Dresden & would always stay here if we return to the City.FromHK$1,558

It is located 14 minutes from the city center. The room is grandiose, electrical outlets on each side of the bed, it's very cool, because we have taken the electrical outlet every time. So great point. The bed and lasts just as I like. The staff very warm and welcoming. Fabulous breakfast there is something for everyone

The bus stop was about 200 meters from the hotel, making it very easy to get to the center (1 direct bus at about 20 minutes). In addition, the hotel is located on a very low busy street, so it is possible to park the car ”under the window” for free, and the nights are quiet and quiet. With regard to the design and service I have no objections. Next time I will be in Dresden I will no longer have a problem with choosing a accommodation ;)

Shortly after the restaurant guests finished eating, the waiter cleaned the table, there was no bread on the ground, and the buffet table was cleaned without oil stains, soy sauce, tea stains.
3) Facilities: The hotel is warm like spring, and there are heating and air conditioning in the room. The bathroom in the room is very large, the shower water pressure is very comfortable, and the water temperature is very comfortable. It’s really comfortable to take a hot bath when I come back a day outside. ～
4) Environment: The hotel is located on a small street outside the old town and is very quiet at night. Walk to Zwenger Palace for 3 minutes and walk to Notre Dame Cathedral for 10 minutes. There is a Sichuan restaurant less than 100 meters from the hotel, which is partial to Chengdu taste (hemp), which is delicious!

The rooms are well equipped, the bathroom with shower. Fen, shower hairdryer, tools etc. are there. Because staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast offer is overwhelming. Wi-Fi was also available in the house 2 , accesses were free as much as we wanted. For a 3-star hotel all respect, price - performance totally OK.

|8.65km from SteinbachThe B & B Hotel Dresden, was a good alternative to me to know Dresden a little better, I was really surprised by the price/performance, I wouldn't expect to be wonderful for a spontaneous trip. The double room for single use was perfect, one had air conditioning, a beautiful shower, the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was for the price class, extremely large with great choice, otherwise I had dinner outside. The staff was in principle and always very nice, and when you asked what recommendations they could always help with advice, even if you wanted to stay a few days longer, that was not a problem. There is a snack machine in the entrance area, which was always equipped with small snacks and drinks. The housekeeping service made the bed after 12:00. For me clearly 4/5 Points For 5. The kitchen should also be open every day. Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo of the room and hotel.

Dans la catégorie ”pas terrible” (disons 3/5): - la localisation dans une zone d'activités éloignée du centre, ; - de façon générale, l'ambiance ”socialiste” de l'établissement, avec une décoration vieillissante sans doute antérieure à la chute du Mur, ainsi qu'un personnel sans engagement particulier et insuffisant à la réception, sauf un barman très aimable dans notre cas; - un petit-déjeuner passable mais vraiment sans plus, notamment le café; - l'absence d'entretien quotidien, hélas de plus en plus fréquente en Allemagne; - un rapport qualité-prix moyen si l'on inclut le prix du parking, qui pourrait être gratuit dans une zone où l'espace n'est pas rare comme en ville. Dans la catégorie ”pas mal du tout” (4/5): - la chambre très spacieuse avec un ameublement suffisant et une literie tout à fait satisfaisante; - une insonorisation plutôt correcte, de sorte que la route ne gêne guère; - la terrasse donnant sur l'Elbe, qui est très agréable le soir. Il vaut mieux payer un peu plus cher une position plus centrale, en conclusion.

The rooms are clean and the internet is in good condition. The location of the hotel is not far from the old town, you can walk to it. After paying money on Ctrip, I have to pay another city tax after arriving at the hotel. This is the first time I have encountered it in Germany.

You sleep very quiet. A short comment on my fellow. I find it impossible if guests who can afford a 4-Sterne-Hotel get their pockets full of coffee juice, sugar, nutella, crack bread and everything packed. I'm ashamed of it and I'll have the courage to speak to people next time.

|8.69km from SteinbachThe information is a bit misleading, the hotel is quite agood bit out of the town centre. Probably a 25 minute walking quickly. We, both 80+, needed a taxi to get to the start of the hopon-hopoff bus terminus. We only discovered when we arrived that the resuarant was not open due to alterations. Fortunately the very helpful receptionist ordered us a takeaway pizza and sugested we relax with a beer until it came. She was the first of a succesion of charming staff we dwelt with. Our room had good hanging and shaelf space but somehow did not strike one as being well designed. The bathroom on the other hand was. There is no fridge but has tea/coffee and kettle. We had a blocked basin, a handyman arrived very promptly and cleared it. There is a marvelous backery and coffee shop across the road in the Rowe Building, and a small supermarket. For a great evening meal and a wonderful view ask the hotel to book you a table at one of the restuarants in the Yenidz. The old cigatte factory almost next door.

The total area of the room should be 40 square meters, and check-in is very convenient. The location of the hotel is also very good, there are several rewe supermarkets around, 500 meters from the old city center, there is a Mi Special Zone train station next to it, and it is very convenient to go back and forth to Dresden Airport. The only downside is that the hotel front desk is located within a closed building door, and the first stay is more troublesome.

|9.12km from SteinbachVisited over a long weekend for Christmas markets which were really nice and plentiful. Unfortunately the hotel experience marred what was otherwise a great weekend. So.... Good points: Hotel is ideally located for Dresden city centre. Hotel rooms are spacious and comfortable. Bar area is cozy and pleasant. Swimming pool was ideally heated for fitness swimming. Poor points: Only the odd member of staff speaks English (despite the website saying otherwise). Mistakes made at check in which were:- No explanation of hotel layout. No complementary water bottles provided, we were then denied them the next day and had to argue with a reception member for them to be given. Room cards not enabled for gym and wellness area access (denied access to the area so had to return to reception to enable). Finally and the most concerning point (one I have never experienced before) was that we were ignored whilst sitting in the bar area. After an afternoon of Christmas markets we returned to the hotel and went to the bar. We waited some considerable time to be waited on before having to ask a female member of staff for our drinks order. We then waited over 10 minutes before drinks were served at the table. I appreciate that during busy times waiting times can be extended but there were only a handful of people seated in the bar area and 4 people attending the bar?? Having drank our drinks we then attempted to get another round which turned into a complete insult. We attempted to stop the female member of staff a couple of times who appeared to be busy but was clearly avoiding us. The bar became a little busier and she was attending tables of German guests and serving drinks in the normal manner. Another male bar tender was doing likewise clearly leaving us to wait whilst they waited on more German guests. I eventually went to the bar to ask another member of staff who took the order but after 10 minutes we had still not been served. I tried to speak to the bar tender about our drinks and was told that they didn't understand (our language) and just walked away??! Completely frustrated with the situation, I went to reception to ask for the manager who I hoped would assist us and help us to get a drink. I was told there was no manager available but he would deal with the situation. In fairness he did speak to the bar staff who then obliged and brought us our drinks. We were then pointed at by other staff members and made to feel really uncomfortable. Eventually we left the bar and went to our rooms before visiting the restaurant later. The restaurant experience was very different and Paul who served us was exemplary in serving us during our various courses. It is a real shame that we experienced the bar behaviour as this is really nice hotel otherwise.
