If you want a place to just sleep then this inn is just right for you. The owner was friendly and accommodating. However, we had trouble finding the location as it was in between stores. The way to the inn is had stairs so we carried our luggages. The room is neat and tidy but smelled really old. The comforters smelled like it hadn’t been washed. The inn only provided sachets of body shower and shampoo so I suggest bringing your own toiletries.

The equipment is okay, the landlord is okay, just like the location is good, very close to the MRT, and also close to 101. Overall it's ok~

I came to play with a friend and the facilities were very good. The bathroom is clean and satisfied. It was quite high-rise, so it was good to see the outside scenery. There is also a washing machine and a kitchen, so it is easy to cook and wash.

Ningxia Night Market is within walking distance and the downtown area is a bit far away, so I was rather good. It was possible for a taxi from Taipei Main Station Ximending $150. It was nice to have a balcony.

This is a great place to stay! It's very close to the walking street, the train station, attractions, and delicious restaurants. The owner is amazing; they even picked me up from the station, helped me with everything, and recommended restaurants and places to visit. The room was clean and had all the necessary amenities.

Reviews From Real Travelers
We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Humble Boutique Hotel from March 30 to April 5, 2026, for our first sightseeing trip to Taipei. We would like to express our genuine gratitude for the hospitality we received during our six-day visit. Commendable Service & Hospitality The true highlight of our stay was the staff. From the concierge and housekeeping teams to the gym and restaurant staff, everyone worked diligently to ensure the hotel ran smoothly. We were particularly impressed by the team’s English proficiency; communication was seamless, making us and the many international guests we encountered feel very much at home. We would like to extend a special thank you to: * Kaley, Tina, and Mary at the restaurant for their attentive service. * Our dedicated housekeeper (the kind lady from Vietnam) who looked after our room on the 9th floor. Excellent Facilities & Location * Prime Accessibility: The hotel’s location in the central district is incredibly convenient. Being just steps away from the MRT station made our sightseeing effortless, and the 30-minute shuttle ride from the airport was very efficient. COMPACT GYM: It’s compact but contains most of the equipments I need including treadmill, stairclimbers, Multi- purpose gym stations and dumbbell.  WARM SWIMMING POOL: nice, long and warm - the water is kept at a temperature of 28 degree. Towel will be provided. Make sure to bring your own swimming hat if you prefer to swim. * Accommodations: Our corner King Room on the 9th floor was spacious, impeccably clean, and provided a very cozy retreat after a long day of exploring. * Wellness & Dining: We enjoyed the well-equipped, compact gym and the lovely heated pool, which was maintained at a comfortable 28°C. Furthermore, the semi-buffet breakfast on the 2nd floor was a daily highlight. Each of the five main course options was delicious and well-prepared. Constructive Reflections In the spirit of helpfulness, we noticed two small areas for potential improvement. First, the installation of a few coin-operated laundry machines would be a wonderful convenience for long-term travelers. Second, as the hotel is so centrally located, there is some audible road noise even on the higher floors; however, this is understandable given the prime location. FINAL We would rate our experience a 9.5/10. Had there been laundry facilities, it would have been a perfect 10. The Humble Boutique Hotel will undoubtedly be our first choice when we return to Taipei. Thank you for making our first visit so memorable.

It was every bit as lovely as I was hoping for a solo getaway !!! A new hotel with immaculate and clean amenities. Notable mentions, the pool, gym, sauna and steam room were super clean and well maintained. Sauna and steam room were gender segregated, an everything is open from 7am. The sheets and pillows on the bed were so plush and comfortable, and the water pressure in the bathroom was strong. The room was soooo quiet and peaceful and the hotels location, all of 30 seconds from the MRT makes this hotel absolutely unbeatable !!! I would not hesitate to stay here again! Was sad to only spend one night and not even try out the hotels restaurant. Highly recommended !

Not far from the MRT station, convenient food, except for a little noisy when someone passing by the aisle, in fact, they are very quiet and feel very comfortable. But there is one place where the most dissatisfied 😅 is why the shower head is hung up to 190 cm high. It is still difficult to get it on my feet. The push pipe lets the shower head fall and catch 😓, and it can't hang flushing (too high, can't hang), must be held in your hand 😭.
- 小珊妮
This time, room 303 is really small enough. It is not recommended for passengers with large bags. The room is as high as usual. The CP value is very high, and then the shower head seat that is so high that it is still towering into the clouds.

The floor of the house is made of wood. It’s very comfortable to step on. Even if you’re barefoot, you don’t feel very cold. The TV is hung on the wall, which can save a lot of time. There are shelves for drying clothes in the room. The clothes can be dried to reduce the occurrence of wrinkles, and there is also a separate bathroom. It is very convenient to take a bath, and even the bath towels and towels are very comfortable.

The environment is very clean, it seems that the room is very tidy, and at first glance, it has been carefully arranged. The bed in the room is also very soft, it is really comfortable to lie on it! You can’t cook your own food in this room, so when you live here, you can only choose to eat outside. If you want to cook your own food, it’s recommended to choose another place.

The Howard Plaza Hotel has an excellent location, very close to Daan Forest Park and Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT Station. The surrounding area has a full range of amenities and is very safe. The staff are attentive and friendly. As an older hotel, the facilities are a bit dated, and the room decor has a classic, slightly old-fashioned feel, but all of this is perfectly acceptable. The only downside was that the room number sign on my floor (I think it was the 6th floor, facing Ren'ai Road) seemed to be incorrect, directing me in the wrong direction from the elevator. I walked all the way to the end of the hall and couldn't find my room, so I had to turn back and eventually found it in the opposite direction. It was a bit frustrating. I hope they can fix that sign.

We recently stayed at the Dinosaur Kingdom Family Room and transferred to a Premier Twin Room the following day. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The staff were consistently kind, helpful, and accommodating, which we truly appreciated. We especially enjoyed the family room—it was thoughtfully designed and perfect for traveling with a young child. I had initially planned for a two-night stay in this room, but unfortunately, renovations were scheduled to begin the following day. This was a bit disappointing, as it made our time there feel quite short, especially with other activities already planned during our trip. In comparison to other five-star hotels we’ve stayed in, I did find the lack of flexibility with early check-in a bit surprising, particularly for the themed room. We had hoped to settle in earlier, and similarly, the following day’s transfer to the Premier room was not available early as it was fully booked. While this was different from what I’m used to, I do understand that this may be part of their standard protocol. On a positive note, we loved the buffet, and the rooms were very comfortable. The complimentary drinks were a nice touch, and the playroom area was excellent—clearly designed with families in mind. It was also lovely to see the hotel organizing activities for children. During our stay, there was a special event (like a children’s appreciation day?), where me and my baby were able to participate in arts and crafts and even received small prizes, which made the experience extra memorable. The swimming pool was decent, though not very large, and the water was quite cold, so we ended up enjoying the bathtub instead. One area for improvement would be cleanliness. We noticed visible dust in the room, which was concerning—especially since the room is designed for small children, and for someone like me who is diagnosed with allergies to multiple types of dust mites. I did raise this with Lara at the lobby, who kindly apologized and mentioned she would inform housekeeping. However, upon transferring rooms the next day, I still noticed dust in certain areas, which made me question the thoroughness of the cleaning. Separately, I also observed that some toiletries (such as conditioner and lotion) were nearly empty upon arrival, suggesting they may not have been checked or replenished prior to our stay. Despite these points, we genuinely had a pleasant experience overall and would consider returning. I’m also excited and curious to see what the next theme for the family rooms will be after the renovations.

This was a pleasant stay. We were traveling with a child, and I had specifically requested a high floor in my Ctrip booking notes. To my surprise, the hotel really paid attention to it! The hotel has 30 floors in total, and they put us on the 29th floor, which was absolutely perfect with fantastic views. **Cleanliness:** The room had a separate wet and dry area, and the toilet was smart and very clean. **Transportation:** The hotel is located right above Wanhua Railway Station. You just turn a corner from the ticketing hall of Wanhua Station and you're there. It's also only a 5-minute walk to Longshan Temple MRT Station. **Local Food:** Around Longshan Temple MRT Station, there's an Oyster Vermicelli shop (diagonally opposite the 50 Lan milk tea shop) that you absolutely *must* try. The flavor is great and it's generously portioned. I dare say you won't find a better oyster vermicelli in all of Taiwan. Remember, next to the oyster vermicelli shop, there's a place selling grilled sausages – grab one of those too. Vermicelli + grilled sausage = a perfect combination! There's also a night market in Longshan Temple in the evenings.

The hotel is located near to the Zhongxiao Dunhua station (exit 3) and walking distance from Ming Yao Department Store, Taipei Dome, Songshan Cultural and Creative Park and National Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall. There are also many convenience stores within the vicinity and famous donut stores nearby. During our stay, we travelled by foot from the hotel to Pokemon Center Taipei, Taipei 101 and even to Linjiang Night Market.  The room is spacious. There are bathtub and shower in our room, but due to the law in Taiwan, please prepare your own toothbrush and toothpaste. There are also luggage weighing machine and coin-laundry machines in a small room on the floor where they serve breakfast. While not to expect a widespread of choices, I think their breakfast selection is a decent combination of local dishes and western options. Special mention that their pineapples are very sweet! If you are interested, you may also check out over the counter on the selection of local products that can be ordered and delivered to the hotel. It may save you trouble to locate some of the famous brands in Taipei. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Green World Zhongxiao.

The hotel boasts an elegant and grand ambiance. The staff at reception were professional and warm. While the facilities show their age a bit, it's still well worth a stay. A genuine and detailed review based on my recent stay. The mattress feels as if it has a latex overlay. It felt slightly stiff and uncomfortable when I first laid down, though my overall sleep quality was still acceptable. I am curious whether this mattress type is only used in rooms 547 and 548, or if this is the standard bedding setup across the entire hotel. The front desk and concierge service were excellent and flexible. We were originally assigned rooms on the 10th floor, which would have offered great city views. After making a last-minute additional booking and requesting adjacent rooms, the team kindly rearranged our stay to two end rooms on the 5th floor. Although there was no view, the arrangement was perfectly fine for our group. Some hotel policies feel less aligned with international luxury standards. Breakfast service ends promptly at 10:00 AM, which is quite early, and the standard check-out time is 11:00 AM. That said, the hotel was accommodating and allowed us a complimentary late check-out until noon upon request. We had an unpleasant experience with one breakfast staff member. We booked two rooms in total: one with breakfast included and one without. Our friend from the non-breakfast room came downstairs after 10 AM, by which time the buffet had already been fully cleared with no food left at all. Despite there being nothing available to take, the staff assumed we were trying to sneak in complimentary food and asked us to sign a charge slip. This unfair presumption that we were trying to gain petty advantages made our group feel very uncomfortable. The gym and sauna area are always extremely crowded. Unlike typical luxury hotels, these facilities are open to external members as well as in-house guests, resulting in heavy traffic at all times. On the positive side, the rooftop swimming pool is well-maintained and very pleasant to use. The room design is stylish and modern. The minibar is generously laid out and visually gives the impression of being complimentary, though guests should note that items are actually chargeable. The shower pressure is strong and excellent, offering a great bathing experience. Final Verdict The Regent Taipei is absolutely worth booking if the rate is under HK$2000. However, for any rate above HK$2000, it is far better to upgrade to the Mandarin Oriental Taipei for a HKD few hundred dollars extra — the service and overall standard truly match its premium luxury ranking.

As per other reviews, the location is perfect. It is linked to the Taipei Main station. The hotel can be accessed through the basement via exit M6 (staircase but sheltered) and M8 (escalator, but need to cross the road). The downside of the room is the aircon faces and blows directly on the face when laying on the bed. It can be disturbing when sleeping. The hot water shower and basin tap is a challenge to adjust, as it is not the normal turn to the red sign for hot water. The front desk staff are not friendly, they usually do not have smiles.

The hotel is a bit dated, which wasn't exactly what I had hoped for, but I was aware of it when making the reservation. The location of this hotel is perfect, situated right next to 101. A short walk across the footbridge and you have access to a number of restaurants and food court. The room itself is sufficient but a bit old and dated. The lobby is big and full of people, almost like a tourist attraction. Unfortunately, two full days of our stay were declared typhoon holidays, so we couldn’t go out to explore the city. Thankfully, the hotel has a cozy lounge on the 5th floor that offers complimentary snacks, coffee, and tea from 1:00 p.m. until midnight. It was a wonderful place to relax and unwind instead of staying in our room all day. We also really enjoyed the daily breakfast, which offered a delicious variety of food and was consistently excellent. Take the Exit X5 elevator to reach the hotel.
