My friend and I organised a trip to Bali and we stayed at Ubud for two nights. This place is unique, secluded and exquisite. It's unlike any other resort with a massive sign to point at the direction. From the moment our driver entered resort driveway, we felt the great sense of privacy and seclusion. The whole place is like a village with the lobby, the restaurant and the gaming room as the centre and rest of the tents (aka your hotel rooms) scattered all over the property, with unique themes. We stayed at the Archiver's room. It's stunning and one-of-a-kind. The tent came with a private pool facing the jungle, and the outdoor shower is fantastic. I loved the bathroom design and all the facilities. Bed was so comfortable, and staff members were kind and helpful, and they remembered our names. The complimentary afternoon tea and cocktails were so great. The cocktails are above and beyond my expectations. If you are looking for gifts to bring back to your family and friends, I strongly recommend the coffee soap bar. My friend and I loved how it exfoliates and in the meantime not leaving dryness on the skin. The Indonesian food served at the restaurant is a must-try. I highly recommend the pork ribs and nasi goreng. What makes Capella so unique is that it provide you with the chance to immerse into the local community to engage and discover local heritage and culture, and meeting some fascinating people along the way. Overall, this place is one of a kind. During our stay, I heard other guests compared Capella at Ubud with Four Seasons in Chiang-Mai. I have stayed at both places, and the two have completely different vibes and ambience. Four seasons rooms are actually brick and wood constructions but the Capella rooms are actually ” tents”, with wood frames and a canopy as the roof. So we fell asleep both nights while listening to the raindrops on the canopy. It's so soothing and relaxing. Capella has offered the opportunity to enjoy a luxurious service and experience while embracing the wildness. Additional: Shout out to Dedy and staff members who offered such above and beyond services. After we left Capella instantly we regreted of not purchasing the coffee soap bars as souvenirs. When I called the Lobby, Dedy arranged to have them delivered all the way from Ubud to Jimbaran to our resort. It's not only my escape experience but also the fantastic people from Capella that left such a deep impression on me. It's definitely a 10/10 experience. I highly recommend to stay.

I had a monumental life event at the hotel – I finally proposed to the love of my life, and we were fortunate enough to begin this new chapter at the Bvlgari. Even before check-in, the hotel was incredibly supportive in helping with the decor, meal arrangements, and venue setup. On the day of the proposal, they even gave us a small gift, which truly showed how much thought they put into everything. The staff's service attitude was exceptional. Both the Indonesian and Italian restaurants at the hotel were delicious. We dined at the Indonesian restaurant on our second night, and for the proposal on the third night, we had a private dinner in the chapel with food from the Italian restaurant. The pool view is also stunning, especially the Bvlgari logo set against the horizon where the sky meets the sea, and the sunset in the evening – it felt absolutely magical. Every villa room offers unobstructed ocean views. The room's cleanliness was impeccably maintained. Although the hotel opened in 2006, you wouldn't guess it's over a decade old, both in terms of facility maintenance and hygiene. It's truly amazing. I hope to return to Bali and the Bvlgari Hotel soon. See you!

The experience at the Bvlgari Resort Bali has been largely pleasant and enjoyable (which is why we booked a second night before leaving Bali). If you are looking for a place that is serene and zen away from the hustle and bustle of city life, this is the place to be at. There is a deep sense of tranquility in their sprawling grounds facing the sea. For once in many months, I managed to fall into deep sleep which is quite a feat for me in recent years. While the villas might feel a bit dated, they feel grounded and perfect for a short getaway. There is a lot of attention to detail that you might expect for the Bvlgari brand - from the locally made utensils, the furnishing to the service standards. There is also plenty to do in and around the resort should you wish to wander out.

Deeply Disappointed - Amandani Falls Far Short of Aman Standards If you're looking to experience an Aman property that truly embodies the brand's acclaimed standards of service and tranquility, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Especially if this is your first Aman stay—Amandani may make you question the entire brand. Coming from Canggu Regent and COMO Shambhala, I stayed here for three nights with great expectations. Unfortunately, my experience at Amandani was deeply disappointing. 1. The ”Aman Spirit” Is Nowhere to Be Seen From the moment I checked in, the entire arrival experience felt cold and indifferent. There was no elaborate welcome ceremony, as described in Aman's promotional materials or by guests. Even more surprising, the staff member who showed me to my room casually threw the straw wrapper he had removed from my welcome drink into my trash can—right in front of me. The wrapper was still there after turndown service, along with the dirty cup from which I had drunk my drink that afternoon. These details may seem minor, but for Aman, details are everything. 2. Inefficient Communication and Service The hotel's WhatsApp communication team often struggled to communicate in English, and their tone was often curt or impolite. Basic courtesies like ”please,” ”sir,” and ”thank you” were rarely used. At times, I even felt like the service relationship was reversed, as if I wasn't being cared for, but rather I was serving them. 3. Inadequate Nighttime Management and Maintenance On my first night, I discovered that my room door wouldn't close properly, leaving a large gap that allowed mosquitoes to fly in and out. When I called for help, I was told the duty manager had gone home—it was 10 p.m. Even business hotels like the Sheraton and Marriott maintain a 24-hour duty manager. It was shocking to learn that Amandani, with its ultra-luxury prices, didn't. Ultimately, the general manager had to intervene personally. To be fair, he was genuinely diligent and responsive, but he was clearly taking on tasks far beyond the general manager's responsibilities. 4. Constant Noise and Disturbance Around 9 a.m. on the first day, the serene experience was further marred by the loud noise and amateurish handling. Instead of relaxation, I felt even more stressed—an ironic outcome for a hotel supposedly meant to embody peace and balance. Throughout the three days, I didn't find any of the services lived up to Aman's reputation. Finding true Aman quality here felt like winning the million-dollar lottery. I had already reported these issues to the hotel team and hadn't intended to write this review. However, after experiencing even more unprofessionalism on the second night, I felt compelled to warn other travelers. Meanwhile, I had an insect bite on my arm. I wanted to have the hotel doctor come and confirm the bite, or at least send a photo to confirm the type of insect. Instead, I was told I would have to pay for a doctor's visit and medication. Well, I just wanted to mention that I once had a small puncture wound on my hand during a visit to Bangkok. I casually mentioned this to the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok on WhatsApp, and they proactively arranged for their on-site doctor to examine the wound free of charge and very responsibly provided me with a generous set of wound care medications and bandages. I want to remind Amandari management that in tropical locations, it's crucial for a resort to have a doctor who can provide at least brief assistance for minor guest issues, even if it's just some practical ointment. To General Manager Norbu—I appreciate your personal effort. Due to your sincerity and apology, I've decided not to write this TripAdvisor review, which I had already written during my stay, in appreciation of your assistance during the latter stages of my stay. However, I sincerely hope that your leadership team will focus on retraining and rebuilding the ”Aman DNA” that once made this brand so beloved. Amandari today feels like a mere shadow of that legendary legacy. Finally, I want to express my gratitude to Agus, the housekeeping staff member. His friendliness and warmth are one of the few times I've encountered Amandari staff that lived up to my impression of Aman standards. I hope the hotel and group will give Agus a good pat on the back; he's a treasure. I used to consider Aman the gold standard in the global hospitality industry. Sadly, this stay completely changed that impression.
- M27541****
Every single stay of mine with the Aman hotels is wonderful and unforgettable. Amandari is no exception. I found an extraordinary sense of peace and tranquility as I sat by the hotel's pool, gazing out at the lush green trees in the distance. As always, the rooms at Aman were spacious yet cozy and elegantly refined. The staff, dressed in traditional Indonesian attire, attended to us so thoughtfully that it seemed I had nothing to worry about except savoring the serene, peaceful moments.

This is a romantic hotel. Thanks to every staff member for their service and help. The welcome gift for the first stay, the warm service introduced every restaurant, every room detail, and thanks to the chef of the Italian restaurant for the candlelight dinner. You made me have an unforgettable trip to Bali. Recommend everyone to book a candlelight dinner and a beach dinner Recommend everyone to book a big bed boat to chase the sunrise 🌅 snorkeling, feeding fish Amman, the first choice in the future

The service was great. Every service staff member remembered my room number and name. There were two staff members even when they sent us to the airport. I also had a massage and was really happy. It was a pity that I left in a hurry and didn't experience other services. I will stay here again next time. ^_^

Overall, our stay was truly outstanding. Entering the hotel through a rather inconspicuous narrow alley, it opens up into a surprisingly grand and beautiful space, offering a delightful sense of contrast. Everything from the service to the facilities and dining was exceptional. We booked rafting through the hotel, which was a bit pricier than external options. However, it was a private boat with a flexible departure time, and we were dropped off directly at the hotel entrance after the trip, making for an excellent overall experience. For breakfast, I finally got to try the famous 'Dirty Duck' rice, which I had missed on a previous occasion. The quality of the à la carte menu items was also very high. The gym was well-equipped with advanced facilities and even offered a variety of complimentary snacks, protein bars, and sports drinks, making for an excellent workout experience. However, there were a few minor points that could be improved. There were slightly too few wall sockets in the room, and one was broken, which was a bit inconvenient given the number of personal electronic devices we had. The TV screen mirroring function wasn't very convenient to use. The last shuttle back from Ubud was at 6:20 PM; I would suggest adding a later evening shuttle service. Lastly, there seemed to be only one Chinese-speaking butler, and they often appeared stretched thin.

Excellent for solo traveler like myself who requires peace and tranquility. My room was directly facing the Ayung River. Can hear the river flow, the small waterfall and occasional scream from the water rafting people. You have personal butler and everyone in the resort knows your name and address you appropriately. Since I was gender fluid, they asked me what kind of pronouns I should be addressed , which I find very comforting and felt respectful. Food was very delicious and mainly locally sourced. Facilities were marvelous and up to date and very well taken care of and maintained. I am already dreaming of going back again :)

Best hotel I've ever stayed. All the staffs are extremely friendly and the butler service is very responsive and helpful. The details in the room and garden are perfect. Waking up to a blue ocean view with private pool. Birds and butterflies in the garden makes it even better. Strongly recommended.

The newest high-end villa hotel in Jimbaran area, the rooms have beautiful views and complete facilities, it is very quiet, and the room service is very thoughtful. But there is nothing to do, and one day is enough.

I would like to say that this hotel is definitely one of my life hotels, you must come, it deserves more popularity and recognition. First of all, let me talk about the biggest feature of the hotel: the natural environment has no doors or windows. I am a person who is very afraid of insects, especially spiders, so I mustered up the courage to try it for one night. Now I regret not booking a few more nights. I saw other comments about poisonous scorpions and was worried about them. I am also afraid of spiders, but I didn’t see any dangerous animals. It was very safe. It must have been strictly cleaned up after that incident. You can't be too demanding about hygiene in the rain forest, as leaves will fall when the wind blows, but all the roads and rooms were spotlessly clean when we checked in, which was incredible! Second point: sleeping. I was originally a light sleeper due to concerns about mosquitoes and various noisy noises, but I can say that I had the most unreal perfect nap of my life. It is hard to imagine falling asleep in the valley listening to the real birdsong and insects chirping and feeling the natural breeze, falling asleep in the embrace of nature like when you were a child. The white noise you hear in these sleeping videos actually appears and surrounds your ears, which is really soothing. The bedding is absolutely top notch and super super comfortable. The pressure of work disappeared and I truly escaped from the world and returned to nature. Let's talk about the projects: Spa and catering. You must go for a Spa. Bali Spa is well-known, but it's a pity that I didn't take any photos. Imagine a spa room for two made of bamboo, where you can enjoy the view, drink tea, have a massage, and listen to the raindrops hitting the roof and the sound of cymbals. Absolutely wonderful. (There was a lack of communication. My right calf was so tightly knit after the massage that it was about to cramp. I must communicate more!) All the food and drinks were made with local ingredients, and the plums were picked from the trees next to the villa. Let’s get to the point: service! My butler: Ketut and the manager Raka! ! ! If the services at Four Seasons Rosewood One Only and other hotels are professional and considerate, the services here truly provide family-like companionship. From small things like taking your bag when you enter, mosquito repellent always at the ready, everyone remembering your name and serving you warmly with a smile, to customizing your personal luggage tag and arranging a special car to deliver you when you leave (with fruits, blankets, etc.), to big things like turning all the surprises into happy memories. For example, at dinner, I found that most of the dishes were vegetarian. I talked to the chef and hoped to have meat dishes to experience Balinese specialties. The next day, I directly customized lunch for you, free of charge. I had a slight cramp in my right calf after the spa. The manager gave me a discount when I checked out after learning that I had taken the medicated oil with me. When I arrived at noon on the first day, I found that many of the dishes I wanted to order were not available, so I was given wine instead. Suddenly the elevator broke down and we waited for 10 minutes. The manager learned that we had been waiting for 10 minutes and waived our lunch bill. You have to know that these are not their fault, they are just accidents. It's really great with this kind of scenery, this kind of service, this kind of work spirit and effort. I really hope that this kind of good hotel can be seen and recognized by others! Thank you to all the staff for making our stay a wonderful memory. Will definitely come back again!
- Yishoupingbanguo
Buahan truly lives up to its reputation as a top-tier luxury retreat. From the stunning scenery to the exceptional facilities and impeccable service, everything was beyond expectations. What impressed me the most were the thoughtful little surprises throughout our stay, making the experience even more special. Every detail is carefully curated, ensuring an unforgettable getaway. If you’re looking for a luxury escape in Bali, this is the place to be!

The hotel is very secluded. It is my first time to stay in such an open-plan room. The disinfection and sanitation are in place. The one-to-one butler service is also very good. What is even more surprising is the Michelin-level chef in the hotel. Every day we have meals. The most anticipated thing. Disadvantages: The temperature difference between morning and evening returns to moisture, so it is not suitable for inconvenient legs and feet.
- Guest User
Living in Alila, compared to Suli will be better. The only disadvantage is that the distance is a bit remote, but there are not many tourists, and the accommodation experience is very good. The service attitude is very good, the scenery is beautiful, and there are no shortcomings except for the location. Facilities: good good Hygiene: good Environment: good good Service: good good

Second stay. Last time I stayed in a villa, but this time I chose a different maisonette type room. There was no pool in the room, but the gym, spa, and restaurants were close by. We also held a free yoga class in a comfortable facility, which made us feel refreshed and refreshed in the morning. We relaxed by the pool and the breakfast buffet was delicious. I was a little disappointed that the dinner wasn't what I expected. The passion fruit and coconut gelato I ordered for dessert was absolutely delicious. I was surprised that the coconut ice cream had more pulp left in it than the coconut ice cream from Tukies that I went to three times in Ubud! ️

This is a wonderful resort that does not disappoint every time we visit. I had a great vacation thanks to the overwhelming scenery of the Ayung River Valley and the very friendly staff. In particular, thanks to Inna, who speaks Korean very well, I received a lot of help not only with hotel schedules but also with external schedules. (Thx Inna. You are the best!!). The hotel rafting was so much fun (Guide Roy, Cpt. Robbie, You guys made my day!!) and the BBQ party at sunset was a great time. Four Seasons Resort made good memories in Bali, I want to visit again next time.

A Peaceful Jungle Paradise – Worth the Escape Ayung Resort is a hidden gem tucked away in the lush jungle of Ubud. While the location is a bit remote — with travel into central Ubud taking up to an hour due to the single road access — the truth is, you won’t want to leave the resort at all. The views are absolutely breathtaking, overlooking the mountains and the serene beauty of the surrounding jungle. The entire resort is designed to bring peace and tranquility, with incredible attention to detail in both the architecture and landscaping. The on-site restaurants were excellent, the service impeccable, and the range of facilities and activities meant everything you needed was right there. Whether you’re after a relaxing escape or a deep connection to nature, this place delivers a 10/10 experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and soak in the true beauty of Ubud without the crowds.

Pros: The resort is absolutely beautiful. The service is top-tier. Every single person says hello to you and greets you with a warm smile. Room service was delicious and they have a wide variety of menu items that can be delivered within 30 to 40 minutes.  Cons: The location isn’t great. It’s a bit in the middle of nowhere. There were ants (pictured) in my bed the entire time I was there, regardless of daily cleanings. The gym is not fully equipped so if you are really into working out, this is not a good place for you to stay. I felt the gym was a bit of an afterthought, and it did not really reflect the quality of the rest of the resort. At sometimes there would be 12 people in there and there just isn’t enough space or equipment to accommodate more than three or four in my opinion. I’ve stayed at three star chain hotels that had better equipped gyms than this one.  Overall, you will not regret staying here, but you could get a private pool villa in a better location for these prices in Bali.

Ah, ”Eden Hotel” in Bali! It seems you're likely referring to one of the Grandmas Plus Hotels in Bali, specifically Grandmas Plus Hotel Seminyak or Grandmas Plus Hotel Airport. They are popular budget-friendly options in Bali. To give you a good review, I can summarize what people generally say about them, but if you stayed at a specific Grandmas Plus Hotel, let me know which one (e.g., Seminyak, Airport, Legian), and I can tailor the review even more. Here's a general overview of what people often say about Grandmas Plus Hotels in Bali, combining common feedback: Grandmas Plus Hotels, Bali (General Review) Overall Impression: Generally, Grandmas Plus Hotels are well-regarded as excellent value-for-money options, especially for budget travelers, solo travelers, and those looking for a convenient location. They often receive high ratings for their service and cleanliness. What people like most: * Excellent Location: This is a consistent highlight. * Seminyak: Very close to Seminyak Beach (often cited as a 5-minute walk) and within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and bars. This makes it ideal for those wanting to explore the vibrant Seminyak area. * Airport: Convenient for early flights or quick stopovers due to its proximity to the airport. * Friendly and Helpful Staff: Many guests praise the staff for being amicable, attentive, and going out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay. They often mention the staff's smiles and willingness to help. * Cleanliness: The rooms and common areas are consistently described as sparkling clean and well-maintained. * Value for Money: Guests frequently mention that the price paid for the amenities and location is a great deal. * Breakfast: Often receives positive remarks for being good, and sometimes even offering a ”different gourmet food selection” daily. * Amenities: While generally basic, they offer essential amenities. Some locations have a pool, and many have a connected restaurant/bar. In-house spas are also mentioned as a plus. * Comfort Rooms (after checkout): Some hotels in the chain offer a ”comfort room” which is a nice touch for guests with later flights. What people like least (or areas for improvement): * Room Size: A very common comment is that the rooms can be ”compact,” ”small,” or ”cramped,” especially for families. While well-designed and clean, they might feel a bit tight for some. * Noise: Depending on the room location, street noise, music, or bar noises can be audible, especially in Seminyak, which is a lively area. * Bathroom Ventilation/Issues: Some reviews mention a lack of exhaust fans in bathrooms, or occasional issues like drainage smells or spots on tiles. * Pool Size/Quality: For the Seminyak location, the pool is sometimes described as ”tiny” or ”very poor” and can get crowded. * Limited Amenities: While good for the price, some guests might miss certain features like mini-fridges or electric kettles in the rooms (though free mineral water is usually provided). Would I recommend this hotel? Based on common reviews, yes, I would recommend Grandmas Plus Hotels, especially if you are: * A budget-conscious traveler. * Looking for a hotel with an excellent, central location (Seminyak) or close to the airport. * Prioritizing friendly service and cleanliness over spacious rooms or extensive luxury amenities. * Traveling solo or as a couple (larger groups or families might find rooms a bit small). They are often described as a great base for exploring Bali, offering a comfortable and practical stay without a hefty price tag.

This hotel is in an excellent location, right in the heart of Kuta. Nice pool and plenty of sun beds. A bit more attention to detail would be appreciated, always had to ask for hand towels, soap never replenished. Buffet breakfast was good, lots to choose from. Staff were always polite

Ubud Bali|21.48km from city center
We had a lovely 4 nights stay at Kenran Resort in Ubud. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully designed with a calming atmosphere. The staff were consistently warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. The pool is a highlight — stunning views and a perfect place to unwind. The resort also offers two restaurants on-site, which was convenient. Breakfast was decent, though we felt it could use a bit more variety. One thing to note: the location is a bit far from central Ubud, and local Gojek drivers often hesitate to come here. This means relying on the hotel's transport service, which comes at a premium. Overall, a peaceful retreat for those looking to relax away from the busy center.

Where do I even begin... Probably one of the best luxurious hotel experience you can get in South East Asia - from the breathtaking taking architecture to the extremely professional yet warm hospitality from each and every single staff I met. Apurva Kempinski is definitely the best Kempinski experience thus far and big thumbs up to the staff that made this experience such an unforgettable one. Special mention to the 2 staff working at the lobby entrance (grab pickup point) who took the initiative to head out to the security post to collect my emergency medication which I ordered via Grabmart and the Grab delivery rider was insistent on not coming to the lobby from the security post as ”lobby was too far”. The 2 staff assured me that the grab riders are supposed to deliver to the lobby collection point and then headed out to collect from the rider. (This was on 27 Dec around 12am). Special shout out to these 2 staffs :) Highly recommended to both couples and families as Apurva is packed with facilities for all traveller types!

On the first day we arrived at the hotel, our child went into the swimming pool and cut his foot. The hotel called a doctor, who dressed the wound and prescribed antibiotics. However, due to the hotel’s negligence, we had to spend the first week taking care of our child and were unable to even leave the hotel, which caused us significant inconvenience and loss. Although it is a five-star hotel, there were no bathrobes in the room, and no iron or weighing scale available. On the positive side, the staff and housekeeping were very good and friendly.

The owner of Four Points by Sheraton Bali is SOOOOO blessed to have all these hard working professionals! Not only were they kind, they got everything done in a very efficient manner. The room was super clean and the food was awesome! I just hope the shower head gets stronger water pressure. Also, it's a bit of walk to Kuta Beach, but there are so many restaurants, coffee shops, and massage shops nearby. Four Points by Sheraton Bali made my stay very enjoyable :)
