Instead of a five-star resort, the room felt more like an upscale chain hotel. The room size was decent, but there were absolutely no amenities! No slippers, no disposable toothbrushes, no shower caps, and the mini-bar was empty. While we always bring our own, previous hotels we stayed at like the Fairmont, Old Cataract, and Steigenberger all provided these things, even cotton swabs and facial pads, which we didn't even use. The front desk's line was that they had given us a free upgrade, but the room we got looked exactly like the pictures of the room we booked. The sea view from the balcony was also obstructed. The pool downstairs was the coldest I've ever experienced in any hotel. It was hilarious watching everyone, mostly foreigners, touch the water and then shiveringly walk away. Only I, as a 'strong Chinese woman,' gritted my teeth and persevered. I was the only one in the water for over an hour… The bathroom sink was designed so poorly that you couldn't place anything on it. The room only had ample space; thoughtful design was clearly lacking. It wasn't entirely without merits; this was the only hotel in our 10-day Egypt trip where we didn't need a power adapter to charge our devices. My companion felt unwell yesterday and didn't want to go down for dinner, so we ordered room service. We ordered 1270 EGP worth of food, and it took 50 minutes to arrive. The bill was 1275.80 EGP, but they charged us 1300 and didn't give any change. And they didn't leave a receipt! We called later to ask for it, and they said 'Ok,' but no one ever brought it to us… It's about 10 kilometers from the airport, and my companion is timid and worried about haggling with taxi drivers, so we booked the hotel's airport transfer for 1190 EGP… a taxi would probably only cost around 100 EGP. All in all, I personally don't recommend it… The Red Sea is beautiful, but if you're not going out to sea and just experiencing the hotel services, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The beach views were limited, and the beach itself wasn't great. My overall impression from this Egypt trip is that hotel front desk staff generally aren't very good. On the other hand, the security personnel, luggage handlers, and pool lifeguards were all very enthusiastic and polite.From$120

We chose a sea view room, but for some reason, we were arranged in the most remote location. This is acceptable, and the sea view is indeed good, but!!! The neighboring hotel has constant noise, 24 hours a day, and you can't sleep at night. It's really annoying to spend 1400r to book such a room. The scenery and activities are really good, but the noise is very annoying and seriously affects the experience. The food is average, not bad, but there are not many varieties. Discrimination is okay, I didn't encounter anything, and most of the staff are really friendly. I recommend the pool view, which is the most cost-effective. If you have a sea view room, I suggest you must choose the one near the lobby (there are two), otherwise you will be noisy and doubt your life!From$148

Hotel with beautiful coral reef , this is its great advantage. Good water skies for children. Delicious food needs to be well searched, very many people. The views from the room are beautiful, the rooms are so for yourself, the door is badly closed, the air conditioner is noisy. There is not enough carpet rooms to not drag into the sand room. Animation is boring, the program has stuck last year on 10. For a family with children the hotel is perfect. But for a couple who want to relax, not particularly.From$62

We had an amazing five-day stay at Meraki Resort. As a 4-star hotel, it exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredibly nice, always ready to serve, and very helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were really nice and comfortable, and we loved the modern architecture and style of the entire place. The food was delicious, with a great variety of options to choose from every day. Special mention to Chef Yosri, who was very helpful and attentive, ensuring everything was really good and high quality. The hospitality and dining experience truly made our vacation special. I booked a superior room with sea view for three nights, and was given a room in the corner of the second floor. The view from the balcony was blocked, and I could hardly see the sea... I immediately went to the front desk to change the room that day, but the front desk said that the room was full and asked me to change it the next day... The next day, after many communications between the platform and the hotel, I was finally given a room on the fifth floor, but the view was still not that wide, and I could not see the sunrise from the balcony! I met other Chinese people in the hotel, and they also encountered this situation. There are many rooms on the first floor of this hotel, but there are only a few rooms with a wide view. The balconies of many rooms are small, and the rooms on both sides are particularly noisy! The all-inclusive three meals are really worry-free, and the meals are also changed every day, and the taste is not bad. There is a swimming pool and a snorkeling area in the hotel. Except for the room problem, everything else is very satisfactoryFrom$100

The hotel is slightly off the beaten track but it is super big. There are almost no Chinese tourists. There are many and big restaurants. The three meals are included and it is really good.
We stayed in a two-story villa room, which is right in front of the stage. There are different performances every night. It is quite lively and fun.
We need to take a shuttle bus to leave the hotel. This bus is very unreliable, especially when we have to rush out early in the morning. We called three times to urge them, but they didn’t show up. Finally, I ran out to catch the diving bus by myself😂
I asked the taxi at the front desk the night before I booked the airport shuttle. They said it was 15 US dollars. The next day at noon, they changed the person and quoted 20 US dollars 😡 This is a random price.
I was in a hurry to catch the diving bus that morning. My wallet was not locked up and 100 US dollars was stolen😭😭😭 I didn’t notice it at first, and I confirmed that 100 US dollars were missing when I came back because it was the last 100 US dollars. It’s really speechless. There are many people who cheat money in Egypt, and they also steal money, and they are in the hotel!From$150

The staffs at the hotel and their hospitality was incredible. The facilities were super clean and there was lot of hard work from the staff to clean and monitor it. There were lot of fishes if you are snorkelling. I stayed in Block 8 and moved to block 4. Block 8 was very modern and nice however the water pressure seemed low in top floor and there was some smell from bathroom drain. The cleaner Mohamed in Block 8 is amazing chap, he kept the place sparkling clean. I have to appreciate the chefs and waiters for offering a great dining experience along with a safe and delicious food. The security is top notch. Thanks a lot for the great service. People are friendly and offer a great service, so I highly recommend it.
The snorkel kit at the resort is of great quality. You get everything you need in the resort as there are lot of shops and activities inside. There are tip boxes in resturants and for cleaners we can tip per service. I was not sure how to tip security / receptionists a tip etiquitte policy or notes from hotel will also be good.

Excellent hotel! Nice room, there is a refrigerator and a kettle, mugs and glass glasses, tea and coffee. The bathroom has a bath and a shower. There is a lot of food (we had breakfast and dinner) and it is delicious! Otherwise in Egypt there is a lot, but it’s not tasty) The beach is good, there are fish. Wi-Fi is sometimes slow, but it is available throughout the entire territory, even on the beach. Not a bad hotel by Egyptian standards. I needed somewhere to spend two nights after a dive safari, for these purposes the hotel is excellent) Located 15 minutes drive from the airport. I think families with children under 12 will like it here. Sandy beach, which is not common in Egypt, and shallow sea. Surprisingly good food, compared to what it was 7-8 years ago. A la carte restaurants as always leave much to be desired, well, I'm spoiled by Moscow and European)) perhaps 4 stars can be given (this is my rating)) I liked everything, even the animation dies down after 11 - does not interfere with sleep) Egyptians are growing upFrom$78

Stumbled into the base of a Chinese tour group
The room is quite average and not worthy of the five-star rating. The food and beverage variety is very small and the quality is very average. The level is about 4 stars, which is lower than other five stars in the area where I live. It seems that it is because there are too many tour groups.
There are very few entertainment facilities and there are no entertainment activities in the evening.
The bay is also very ordinary. The beach and water quality are not as good as other bays in the Red Sea. If possible, it is better to live in the south of the city.

The price/performance ratio is quite high. The twin room I booked is probably sold out, and we were upgraded to a family room. The resort is very big, but friends who are traveling with us feel that it takes too long to walk. This is not the hotel's problem, but the friend's problem. If you are the kind of person who likes to play in the hotel, it is still very comfortable to live in this kind of all-inclusive resort. We didn’t play the other rides much, because our friends thought it was too far away from their dive shop, so we moved to the old hotel on the street after staying for two nights🙄From$110

We had a very pleasant stay at the Bellagio, the hotel is about twenty minutes from the center but with Uber prices it is very accessible!
The hotel has everything you could need, a huge swimming pool, as well as others for the little ones.
Activities are present every day.
The meals are diverse and varied, but still very fatty, it takes a little time for your stomach to get used to it!
We had an electrical incident in our bungalow and we were upgraded to a jacuzzi room at no extra cost. Thank you to reception for this gesture!
Just one negative point, the manager of the cosmetics shop near the swimming pool is a crook, he never gives the same prices, one time €10 then the next day €25. For a moisturizing cream bought at the small shop near the reception it was €5 and he wanted to sell it to us for €25 even though it was exactly the same! And we had the same experience with him for a bracelet sold for €1 that he wanted to sell us for €5!
A piece of advice: don't buy anything from this person who is just dishonest, go instead to the reception shop or the 3 pyramides store next door!
A small negative point also on the nuisances committed by the children in the swimming pool, it is horrible, they play with their balls and people get shot in the head, they splash everyone, the lifeguards although very nice do not say absolutely nothing, we are obliged to intervene ourselves to calm the children, we should create a space for ball games that would allow people wanting calm to rest!
Otherwise the hotel is great! Everything is there for a great vacation!From$95

The general service ecology is good, but the front desk generally has a poor attitude. I have encountered several things and found different front desks. The attitude is very poor. Only the lobby wifi is free, so the lobby is free to surf the Internet because we bought the data ourselves. It’s okay if there is no wifi in the room, but the signal in the room is very, very poor. I dived out to sea and there was a 4g full grid in the middle of the sea. In the room, a WeChat message was often sent out for two minutes and it was still in circles. If you want to experience a person The quiet world, welcome to live.
Speaking of diving, the dive center in Hilton is a pit. We collected money for 5 dives, but only arranged 4 dives. In the end, the dive found various reasons not to take us, and when we started to pay, we must To double check, we wanted Euros at the time. We wanted to pay in US dollars. The person who collected the money pretended to help us check the exchange rate and over quoted us the price. Fortunately, the locals had been scammed by the locals before. After checking it, he told him that the price was wrong, and he said that he had calculated it wrong. And when diving on the first day of the two dives, there is still 100-120bar before the boat rises, and there is no reason. On the second day, another dive guide kept asking us to buy a photo package instead of throwing the phone on the spot. It was a very poor experience.
The hotel’s private beach is not very good, the water is muddy, there is nothing to see when snorkeling, and there is no living creatures. The water quality is not as good as the hotel’s private beach in the city center.
The only bit of food is okay. But the beer is mixed with water.
Will not book this hotel again, and will not recommend it to anyone, who is going to be stupid.From$182

The hotel is fully equipped, with swimming pools, slides, and various entertainment facilities, similar to several swimming pools plus a water park in China. There are more activities and local specialties every night. There are restaurants in various countries, such as Italian, Spanish and Mexican food, which are free, but you need to book seats in advance. The hotel can directly about diving, etc., you need to negotiate your own price, at your own expense, about 400 RMB per person, the price is moderate. Overall, it is a very good hotel, the price is quite high. The hotel is almost full of European tourists, there are few Chinese, and the service staff is very enthusiastic.From$152

I was amazed when I first saw this hotel. The price is more than 400 RMB for two nights and the environment is very good. We wore a blue hand ring for our left hand. The hotel restaurant had free breakfast with the hand ring. The room for two people was booked with three beds. The space is also large. all good. Don't expect much from the room amenities; they're comparable to older Marriott hotels in China. The public areas are beautiful, but the service is mediocre. The breakfast tablecloth was left untouched by a guest eating on the table in front, leaving me to use it. I reported the poor service to the front desk, but they only gave a bland response and didn't take it seriously. For a 2,000 room rate, the service doesn't match the quality; don't pay for this place. It's a Baron Palace, but the waiters are the barons, and the Chinese guests are the targets of his arrogance. The concierge and security were excellent, but the tall, pale, and thin guy in the breakfast room, who spoke ”Hello” in Chinese, was a real letdown for the hotel's service.From$170

A beautiful all-inclusive resort located on the outskirts of Hurghada, about 30 minutes from the city center. If you're planning sea excursions, this might not be the best choice; it's more for relaxing and unwinding. The rooms are generally spacious. We arrived early, and the front desk kindly stored our luggage and gave us wristbands to enjoy breakfast. The buffet was quite extensive. For dinner, you can opt for the à la carte Italian restaurant (but make sure to book one day in advance on the app). Overall, it's stunning and perfect for taking lots of photos!From$158

It was a perfect experience for me. Me and my wife had fun so much. I strongly recommend Hotel Pick Albatros Resort Palace. Their services were awesome. There is only one serious issue I had. I wanted to join Orangerr Bay tour with my wife. Hotel Reception suggested me to work with Mr. Ayman Kady and Mr. Kady managed us a boat tour company called ”Ayaa”.
I wanted to go diving but there was a misunderstanding. There was a one diving instructor guy of ”Ayaa” boat tour company. He was very rude towards guests. He was giving me attidude because of misunderstanding but also there were another couples who faced organisational issues of Ayaa as well. I asked him why he is giving attidude towards us and suddenly he started to shout at me and other 2 couples. He used many bad words against Germans and Deutschland.
He mentioned that we have to act like according to his wishes because we are on his boat and in his country otherwise he would kill us diving insttuctor mentioned.
Anyway I called Mr. Ayman Kady immediately when I was on the boat and thanks god there was internet connection eventhough it was too low and he called his boss and we changed boat tour immediately in diving break. Thanksfully he saved my day to be destroyed because my wife so scared and very unhappy.
Eventhough It was nice experience but I do not suggest you to work ”Ayaa” boat tour company you can mentione that to Tour guide Me. Ayman Kady of Pick Albatros Resort Palace Hotel.From$153

Because I stayed one more night and booked two more times, I'll say a few more words. The weather was cold when I went there, so I didn't go to the sea. The hotel's beach is average, but the sea view is beautiful from a high place. This hotel and the castle hotel are both in a relatively far area. If you sign up for a sea trip, you usually have to pay an additional $5 per person for pick-up and drop-off. If you don't want to pay this money, you can consider taking a taxi to the city pier by yourself.From$229

The room equipment is not luxurious but comfortable. Towels are not soft. There is no phone in the room, which is inconvenient for the waiter. Servers are more proactive. However, the shampoo and shower in the room are not complete. There are many restaurants to choose from, but dinner reservations are too popular and I didn't grab them. The menus of several Chinese restaurants are the same. The underwater landscape of diving is average. This hotel is quieter. Enjoy access to sister hotel facilities. There are many children in the sister hotel. It is 3 kilometers away from the airport, it is more convenient to call Uber, and it costs 75 Egyptian pounds to the airport. The hotel arranges transportation for 15 euros per person, which is outrageous. After check-out, you can continue to enjoy the facilities and take a bath until you leave the hotel, which is convenient. It may be more favorable to book through the hotel.From$208

Highly recommend especially if you are a family with young kids. We went as a group of friends and still enjoyed it, the water park has slides suitable for adult fun and also kids with a special area for kids only. The only negative is that the beach is a bit of q walk away, however there are consistent shuttle buses. The reception team and manager are very polite and helpful, the life guards and water slide guards are all very nice and are there for your safety and happiness. The food was amazing, there is also food all afternoon by the pool. Pools are big and there are more than one with an all adult only pool for pure relaxation. Very safe resort just keep your belongings near to you. I want to give the biggest thanks to the animation team, they are the ones who made this holiday, from day time entertainment to evening shows and night outs, they truly look after you from their hearts wanting you to have a great time in Egypt. I have been traveling on all-inclusive vacations annually for the past 15 years, and unfortunately, this was the worst check-in experience I have encountered.
I booked through a third-party agent, whose policy states that guests up to 17 years old are considered children. However, upon arrival, the hotel insisted that anyone over the age of 12 is classified as an adult. While I understand that policies may vary, this is clearly an issue that should be resolved between the hotel and booking agent, rather than placing the burden on guests. Instead, I was asked to pay an additional $900 USD to “upgrade” my 15-year-old niece. After lengthy discussions, including with the manager, we were pressured into paying $450 USD.
What made the experience particularly disappointing was the manager’s unprofessional behaviour. He refused to speak directly with me or other women in my family, insisting instead on addressing a male relative. This was not only disrespectful but also left us feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable.
It is unfortunate because the hotel itself does cater well to children, and most of the staff we encountered outside of check-in were polite and helpful. However, the food was average, with limited variety, and drinks were basic, with only two cocktails available that were of poor quality.
While the facilities had potential, the check-in experience and management’s handling of the situation overshadowed our stay. Based on this, I cannot recommend this property and will not be returning.From$161

Conclusion first: I don't recommend going to Hurghada to spend money and get humiliated. All the staff discriminate against Chinese people. If you have to go, you can consider this hotel
1. Service: The restaurant staff is OK, but
– The staff on the beach will chat with white people very enthusiastically and ask what they want to drink, but I just skipped it. According to my observation, Chinese people all get their drinks from the bar. Interesting, the main purpose is to secretly disgust you. After complaining to the manager, there was no improvement (the management team apologized sincerely, but Egypt's structural discrimination may be unsolvable)
– I was yelled at by the staff on the beach for moving an unused fence (the white people next to me used two without any problem)
2. Facilities: It is said that there are four restaurants, but it is impossible to make an appointment, which means that there is only one restaurant, and the food is at the level of a cafeteria. Only the barbecue bar is OK. Anyone who has stayed in all-inclusive hotels in other places can't praise it
3. Room: The decoration is very poor, the level of domestic cheap and fast hotels, and the three words ”guesthouse” are the most accurate description
In short, Hurghada is not recommended at all, and this hotel has a relatively good evaluationFrom$191

I would like to give special thanks to the Animation Team for creating such a fun and energetic atmosphere throughout our stay.
Also, a big thanks to the Room Service Team for their professionalism, quick response, and always welcoming smiles, which made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable.
The only challenge I faced was with the customer service hotline and official emails, as I had a booking issue through Trip.com.
To be fair, Trip.com were very responsive and answered all my inquiries, but unfortunately, they could not reach the hotel’s customer service directly.
Despite this, my overall experience at the hotel was unforgettable, and I definitely look forward to coming back soon.

In my opinion, it doesn't quite live up to a 5-star rating.
The hotel is 'too' new, if not unfinished construction-wise. There was no warning about this during booking.
The beach is excellent, with a sandy entrance to the sea, and there's a gym, but no spa.
The food is good (except for the 'Italian' restaurant), but the local alcohol is cheap.
The sea view from the room is magnificent, the bed is comfortable, drinks are refilled daily, and slippers were brought, but I couldn't get them to provide bathrobes...

The hotel was almost entirely frequented by Europeans, with few Asians. The sheets were pilling, and the rooms felt rough in many places; the facilities didn't seem like those of a hotel that opened 25 years ago. The public areas were nice, but the sea view was obstructed by a bridge. The food was mediocre; I didn't find anything particularly delicious, mainly just chicken and beef. I tried the Asian restaurant; the soup was okay, but the rest was average. If I go to the Red Sea again, I'll check out other hotels there.

In an hour you can walk from the hotel to the walking area with fountains and all sorts of cafes along the embankment or right along the beach. Thank you, we'll be happy to come back :)

Steigenberger Aqua Magic Hurghada – A 5-Star Resort That Feels Like 2 or 3 (depending on the topic). Before booking Steigenberger Aqua Magic Hurghada, we did our research—watched videos, checked reviews, and set our expectations accordingly. Listed as a 5-star hotel on Google and TripAdvisor, we expected a premium experience. However, once we arrived, we quickly realized that the reality fell far short of the rating.
1. The “All-Inclusive” That Isn’t Quite All-Inclusive
The hotel advertises six restaurants, but the all-inclusive package only grants access to three—and even that comes with strict limitations. You must stay at least five nights to even qualify for reservations; otherwise, the buffet is your only guaranteed option. But even if you meet the criteria, getting a reservation is a struggle, and once inside, you’re pushed to pay extra for items outside the package. The upselling is relentless, from premium wines to certain dishes, turning what should be a relaxing meal into a sales pitch. Oh, and if you were hoping for fresh juice with breakfast? Extra charge.
2. Facilities: Decent, But Not 5-Star Worthy
✔ The pool, beach area, and lounge are well-maintained.
✔ Bars are available all day, and staff work hard to keep areas clean.
✖ Some rooms show clear signs of neglect, making this feel nowhere near a true 5-star hotel.
If this hotel were truly 5-star, there wouldn’t be visible maintenance issues, questionable service, and inconsistent quality across the board.

On the other hand, the security personnel, luggage handlers, and pool lifeguards were all very enthusiastic and polite.

I had an exceptional stay at this hotel in Hurghada! The room was beautiful, spacious and very well maintained. I particularly enjoyed the view, which was a nice surprise that I did not expect.
As soon as I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist who checked me in. He spoke excellent French and immediately made me feel at home. One of the porters was also very friendly and professional.
At the Italian restaurant, Fouad is a real gem, and the waiter Abdo offered impeccable service. As for the spa, Maryam and Aya, as well as the masseuse (whose name I unfortunately did not remember), were simply incredible. The entire staff is highly qualified, attentive and always eager to make the guests' stay unforgettable.
The atmosphere is calm and pleasant, and although I traveled alone, I never felt uncomfortable, quite the contrary: everything was perfect for relaxing. The beaches are absolutely magnificent.
I highly recommend this hotel and hope to return for an even longer stay.

A pleasant hotel, albeit a little dated.
The room had a good bed with an excellent mattress; I slept almost like I was at home.
The staff at reception, in the dining room, and elsewhere were excellent. They were always cheerful and in a good mood.
I enjoyed breakfast and dinner; everything was fresh and delicious.
