|0.58km from city centerJust returned from a 2 day stay here after visiting Porto for the Champions League Final. This is a small, friendly guesthouse only a short walk from the direct Metro line to the airport and about 20 minutes walk to the City Centre We stayed in a twin room on the 2nd floor. The room and bathroom were quite small but modern and perfectly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was continental and served in a pleasant dining room or on the small outdoor terrace. I would’ve liked perhaps a little more choice at breakfast e.g. fruit or a greater selection of pastries but what we had was tasty and fresh. Covid restrictions being managed well Antonietta and the staff are very friendly and helped us with directions and public transport queries. Service was great Would definitely recommend this place for a short stay at a more than reasonable cost Thank you

|1.97km from city centerFirst the obvious advantages: super location, multilingual staff, great breakfasts, and many attractions within easy reach (river excursions, restaurants, shopping, tastings, music, museums, public transportation). But the most amazing thing is the staff. Denis, Luis, Luisa (and Hugo for one day) formed the most attentive team I have ever seen. They don’t wait for you to ask for help, they offer it. And they take the time to get to know you and provide tailored recommendations. Obrigada muito to all of you and to the unseen helpers who prepared our food and kept GHD sparkling clean!

|1.98km from city centerVery nice apartment in the old town within walking distance of bars, restaurants, river front, train station, churches and museums. Breakfast was delivered every morning and was substantial. Cooker, microwave, coffee machine and fridge also present. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Fantastic view over the roof tops towards the river Douro. While we were there...September...they were just putting the finishing touches to an outside pool and bathing area...unfortunately not quite ready for us to make use of.

|1.66km from city centerDO NOT GET ROOMS 51, 41, 31, 21 (next to elevator) otherwise worth a stay. This is a good hotel. However having been here twice, some notes for fellow travelers. - If you are light sleeper like me, DO NOT get any rooms 51 and so on next to the elevators. WOW it is not stop intermittent mechanical noise night and day. - Try and get a top floor room with a terrace. The other rooms are not bad, yet they have the wood flooring that looks cool and works fine, yet when house keeping starts their clean ups, they slide the beds over the wood which makes for more noise if you are trying to sleep in late. - Bed is comfortable, bathroom is sizable, but not too large. - Hotel is very new-school contemporary. - Breakfast is good. Coffee machine is the usual auto job, whatever… - House keeping could be bit more detail focused. There was a smashed bug on the wall near the bed. No big deal, yet a simple wipe with a sponge would have covered that.

|0.41km from city centerI should say from the off that I stayed here almost a year ago, so my review predates Covid quite considerably. I booked the apartment well in advance and a few days before my stay received an email with instructions re check in and where to get keys etc. I messaged back accordingly with my estimated arrival time and again once I was en route to the apartment. I have to say it wasn't the easiest place to find, but this isn't the fault of the rental company but my navigation app. Ana met me outside the apartment and she was reallly friendly and helpful, making sure that I knew where everything was and how to contact her if I needed anything - I didn't but it was reassuring to know that the option was there. The apartment was for me fabulous - I had the ground floor studio which was perfect for a couple or indeed a solo traveller like me. I never had issues with loud fridges or loud anything, and I'm a very light sleeper. The apartment just the right temperature - important for a menopausal woman! There was a small table and a few chairs in the main room with an expandable wardrobe which I never used and of course the bed, which was one of the comfiest I have ever slept in. The kitchen and bathroom were at the other end of the studio behind a partition which could be closed at night - I left it slightly open so I could find the bathroom in the dark. The kitchen had everything I needed with plenty of utensils including a small dishwasher and a food sized fridge. The shower was great too with plenty of hot water and nice fluffy towels. Once I got to know the city I realised that this is a perfect location - close to the city centre and the river but also quiet and secluded. You can walk to most places within no more than 15 minutes or so and the train station is not much further away. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets close by for those want to eat out - or prefer to self cater. I did a bit of both. All in all for me this was a brilliant place to stay - very well located for an excellent price and really comfortable and well equipped.

|1.03km from city centerIt's really the best... First of all, it's just the best. The location is close to the subway station and the supermarket, and I can feel that they put a lot of thought into the interior of the room. There's also an elevator, so I could easily move my luggage. The service is also hotel-level. They cleaned the room, provided water and towels, and prepared a welcome drink. The heater was on so I stayed warm, and they even helped me with the laundry. They even distributed white and black clothes. I was very impressed, the owner was very kind and spoke English. If possible, if you go to Porto, be sure to stay here!

The location is very good, 5 minutes walk from the train station, 15 minutes walk to the river, 5 minutes to the supermarket!
The sister at the front desk looks good, breaking the perception of the Portuguese.
The room is too big, clean and hygienic, it's almost like home. I can't wait to stay for a month~
Although it is an apartment, it is safe,

The administrator is very kind, carried out, showed everything. The family room, I was alone. Upstairs sleep warmer. There's an air conditioner. The welcome portwain is very delicious! In the room everything is available: refrigerator, teapot, pans, stove, safe. I'm not in a suitcase, I was OK, but with a suitcase it will be hard to get up to the room. Hotel in the center, near the metro, supermarkets.

|1.61km from city centerAt the end of a week-long stay of rainy days, my daughter and I were both wet and cold from that day's rain, and walking from the apartment we stayed at while my daughter attended a conference. We checked in too early to get our room, but the staff did their best to accommodate us and get us into one sooner. We were so grateful to be able to take off our soaking clothes...and delighted to find a tiny carafe of port wine for us to enjoy upon entry. The room was a tiny studio but very well-appointed and cozy, and in a great part of Porto close to good restaurants and sights...all within walking distance. The staff was absolutely terrific. This was a lovely finale stayed to our week-long rainy visit to lovely Porto.

|1.96km from city centerThe best is its location just a few meters from the church of San Ildefonso, very close to the station São Bento, Rua Santa Catarina, Avenue Aliados and Bolhão market, really for a short visit is perfect because you come to all the points of interest in The hotel is close to the Santiago Café with the best French girls.
As regards the hotel facilities, it enters stairs, has no lift so there is no accessibility for people with reduced mobility, and the entry card is deleted, so it is expensive to be located, the staff's attention is good; We were given a double bed + single bed, we saw there were others better but for the price we paid we didn't complain; the bathroom is small and the laundry is out of the bathroom, this was practical, it is a hotel to go to sleep and now.
How positive, they have extra beds and as negative, the walls were screwed by the baggage year and did not paint it in good time, making it look dirty, but the room, The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable.

|0.34km from city centerThe single rooms are very small, but sufficient for a multi-day city trip. The hotel is very clean and completely renovated. Complimentary water is also offered. The staff are very friendly and gave me a lot of tips on arrival and were very helpful. The reception is not open 24 hours. When I rented a bike for several days (also overnight), I could store it inside in the luggage room (got a key for it). Very accommodating and recommended. Location is also ideal.

|0.53km from city centerAlthough they say on booking that the check-in is made in the afternoon, we called at 8 a.m. and the lady who answered us, even though she did not speak Italian or English, a little Spanish knew it. We were agreed and made the entrance in the morning after an hour, and when we arrived at the hotel we found a sweet old lady (the lady we made a phone call) and surprised when we went up to the room. A upgrade from one room with single beds one above the other. To a beautiful marriage at the latest floor under the roof. The very clean and quiet room. We enjoyed a deserving rest after walking under rain. At check-out the beautiful lady of the building at three o'clock and go to the reception to greet us. Excellent WiFi. Thanks and next 🙏

Porto
|1.55km from city centerWe stayed here in May and the owners/managers were delightful and our stay could not have been better; small rooms in the guest house itself, but clean and well managed; very helpful. We just returned from another stay September 20 to the 25th, and because the rooms had been small and a bit loud on our previous stay, we rented the apartment which was down the street a bit but not far. It was a nice size and the view was spectacular, but it was dark and pretty run down by American standards. There were places where water had leaked in and damaged the ceiling and walls, and when we walked in, the person from the guesthouse apologized that the door to the terrace had jammed shut so badly that the glass in the door had broken; there was a crack all the way across and water was coming in and puddling inside the door. I should have realized then what was happening - heavy construction next door and the house adjacent was being demolished. Apparently, the ground had shifted and the terrace end of the apartment was affected. But there was another door to the terrace that worked, so we did not say anything as we were busy with business in Porto. Saturday and Sunday were fine if you don't mind no air conditioning, loose faucets in the kitchen, water damaged walls, mold in places and grease in the kitchen fan, etc., but not terrible. THEN Monday hit: at first it was just some trucks outside, but then the actual demolition began and the entire place literally shook and vibrated to the point that pictures on the walls shifted and the door on a clock on the wall flew open. Dust was everywhere and I did not feel completely safe being on a cliff in an old house with this going on next door. But we only had Monday and Tuesday to complete our business, and I really did not want to go back to the guesthouse and the small rooms. The noise was so very bad that we were glad to be away for most of the day, we could not use the terrace because of the dirt and dust, and all the floorboards on the terrace had shifted and split. We went out once to look at the demolition next door, and when I sat down the chair went through the floor. It was not a good experience and we went to tell them about it at the guesthouse before we left at 8:00 in the morning. The door was locked and even though it says you can ring the bell, no one came. I emailed the guesthouse and they basically said it wasn't their fault there was construction being done, so too bad for us. I told them that they should tell potential renters about the actual conditions and that this may affect what is supposed to be a quiet and enjoyable stay in Porto. I asked for 2 nights credit which I thought was a good compromise, and got the same reply: we can’t control everything so pay up. Granted we should have said something on Monday, but barely had time to get done what we needed to get done and did not have time to move everything for one remaining day. But the new management does not seem to care

|1.42km from city centerOld house property with faded beauty, hard to maintain by actual owners. The room was large but the room door was very tight. Furniture is old, very basic. No central heating, just air conditioner from device that saw a better days, but functional (fortunately) for the moisture and rainy nights. The bathroom was spacious but cold (no heating). Stayed on first floor, one morning i smell an unpleaseant odour from the hall. I think that owners (very knindly by the way) are overwhelmed by the condition of this property. A massive upgrade is urgently needed!

|1.74km from city centerThis is the best hotel I ever met for this Portugual and Spain tour. The location is best, can walk to each famous tourism site within 20 minutes in the downtown center, including the Sao Bento Train station, and 5 minutes' walk to Douro river . The ladies for check-in and check-out are both very nice and responsible, be helpful for each of our questions. The apartment's equipments are sufficient and of good quality, can meet to our needs of cooking by ourselves, especially it has kettle for hotting water for drink, which is the only hotel we met in P&S. Great! And also they have prepared plenty of fruits(apple, orange, banana, pear, ect.) and yougart, snacks, etc. For breakfast, including milk, bread, butter, cheese, egg, hams, very enough for us. Which is more intersting is that, there is a cloth bag, which painting with typical Portugal cock, it is just with this bag, we hang it to the doornob of our apartment at night, and next morning, when you pick it back, you will find very fresh and delicious bread in it. Bravo! Like a Xmas gift! And the hygienism of the room are also very good, All of above make us feel at home, esp at this special season. Stronly recommend this hotel.
This is the best hotel we stayed in this Spanish Portugal trip. First of all, the location is excellent, you can walk to any famous sights in the city center within 20 minutes, including São Bento Train Station, and 5 minutes walk to the Douro River. The two ladies who were responsible for receiving us were very kind, kind and enthusiastic, and answered our various questions patiently. The apartment is fully equipped and has everything to meet our cooking needs, especially the hot water kettle. You know, during this trip, many Portuguese hotels do not provide hot water kettles. Drinking hot water is simply a luxury. I also prepared a lot of fruits for us, and I didn't finish eating them when I left, as well as snacks, coffee and so on. Breakfast includes milk, yogurt, bread, cheese, eggs, ham, etc. In short, it is impossible to eat all of it. What’s interesting is that the bread bag is a delicate cloth bag with a picture of Portuguese chicken. Hang it on the door handle at night. The next morning, the bag will be filled with fresh and fragrant bread. It’s great. Like a Christmas gift. The sanitation of the apartment is also very good, in short, everything makes us feel as comfortable and warm as home, especially in this special period. highly recommended!

|1.38km from city centerWhere to start? I am spoiled for choice. - Non-existent staff, in the literal sense of the word. having booked the trip through an agency, I limited myself to calling the hotel a couple of days before departure to confirm our arrival. No response even after several attempts and repeated phone calls. NO ONE HAS EVER ANSWERED THE PHONE. Same thing via email, no response. -Once you arrive in Porto in the evening, in front of the hotel ready to check in, NO ONE HAS OPENED US, despite having rang repeatedly. We tried several times to call the telephone numbers indicated near the door and, again, no one answered. In desperation, we were about to look for another accommodation, when we accidentally met some tourists who were staying in this bad structure, who opened the door and explained that they had the same problem. They too managed to enter thanks to a tourist who was staying there and who had the keys. Once inside there was an envelope on the reception desk with our names and the room assigned to us with the key. But no trace, even in the following days and at any time, of a member of staff - THE ROOM: it smells stuffy and a terrible smell

In fact, I have never encountered friendlier or more helpful hotel staff anywhere I have traveled in Europe, Mexico or South America. All three women who alternated working the ( Sara, Catarina and Paula) speak several languages and were happy to assist with requests, provide recommendations, and just sit and chat. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and the breakfast buffet was very good. Our room on the first floor up the stairs was a bit noisy when people were checking in at night, but this is the only negative thing we encountered in the several days we stayed there. It is a wonderful place, and I would definitely stay there again if I go back to Porto.

|1.59km from city centerWe stayed here for five nights over New Year 2023. First and foremost, the location is excellent, close to most of the main sights and convenient both for the train station and metro giving convenient access to the airport. We stayed in a comfortable one bed studio with kitchenette and adjoining lounge area, the one featured on the website which is representative of the actual room. The studio also backs onto the rear garden so it was very quiet even though it was the New Year holiday. Kitchenette was very well equipped with refrigerator, coffee maker, electric kettle, oven, two ring hob and plenty of utensils. TV had Netflix/Prime. Very comfortable bed, good shower with plenty of hot water and plenty of space to make our stay a good one. We opted for the daily continental breakfast which is delivered to your door daily and is quite substantial with fruit, yoghurt, croissants, bread coffee or tea and juice. Very friendly staff made this an excellent stay.
