Facilities: The facilities are very comprehensive, you can tell they put a lot of thought into the renovation years ago.
Hygiene: Very clean and meticulous; even the tissues are from 'Qingfeng' (a well-known brand).
Environment: The environment is fantastic, it's a sea-view room. Checking in at night wasn't as stunning as it would have been during the day – the daytime view is absolutely superb, especially when the sun is out. If you don't pull the thick curtains, you wake up to the sea right outside. Downstairs, there's a pool for adults and children, as well as swings, hammocks, and even little cats.
Service: I'd especially like to commend the front desk staff. The guy at the front desk even upgraded my room to console me after I lost my ID after picking up my luggage at the airport. When I mentioned I was worried about mosquitoes, the lady at the front desk said they'd send a mosquito repellent device to the room. The hotel environment is comfortable and cozy. Our room was right above the restaurant and pool. The restaurant's hours are super flexible, from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, so you can sleep in as long as you like. Since we were traveling with a child, we booked a family-themed room. I checked into the hotel in the middle of the night. Tired, I found the winding corridors seemingly endless, and the room felt damp when I finally got in (later I realized this is common in seaside cities, especially here right by the sea). I had to call staff to adjust the air conditioning, and after that, the air quality improved significantly. My initial impression of the hotel had plummeted. However, on the second day, experiencing the hotel's outdoor environment, the pool, and the children's play facilities, my opinion slowly began to improve. When I went out, a staff member called to ask what time they could deliver fruit and if I needed room cleaning, inquiring about a convenient time... their gentle demeanor further boosted my positive feelings. Walking across the hotel's ground-floor lawn (which was very clean, beautiful, and photo-worthy) to the beach was incredibly close and convenient. The surrounding food options were also good. After two days, I found myself liking it more and more. They even offered afternoon tea, simple but thoughtful, with a live singer in the afternoon. Sitting there, feeling the breeze and sipping coffee, was quite pleasant. Staying at this hotel with my kids was a great experience. The concierge service was prompt in helping with our luggage, and the environment was lovely, much better than expected. The Nalong themed family room was a big hit with the little ones. Our butler, Holly, added us on WeChat after check-in and sent us useful tips. When my child got stung by a jellyfish while snorkeling in Sun Bay, Holly even helped us get white vinegar. In short, they were incredibly responsive and did their best to meet all our requests, offering very personalized service that made us feel right at home. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this hotel. The surrounding area also has a commercial street with plenty of dining options, which is very convenient. Five-star review! The hotel is nice but a little old. It was clean and spacious. We got an upgrade to sea view and which was great. The bed was very comfy. We had great sleep because it’s very quiet in the hotel and outside it. The hotel is located quite far from everything. Every night we heard just sea waves which was very relaxing.10-15 minutes by taxi to the nearest food hall and around 30 minutes by taxi to Sanya city. The taxi is VERY cheap. But it’s also an advantage for some people - it was VERY quiet, beach is great - you can swim everywhere, very few people around, only you and the sea (but there are no lifeguards). The pool area was good, I had no problems finding a sun bed by the pool at any time. Breakfast was great - a lot of food options and the restaurant is open 24/7. Once we came to have dinner at midnight and there were literally zero people and just one staff member. But they cooked for us fresh and tasty food no problem. This time, I stayed in Building 8's full ocean view king room. The moment I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by the large balcony – it's incredibly close to the sea! Not only is the view first-class, but at night, if you close the balcony door, the soundproofing is really good, not affecting sleep at all.
The public areas are beautiful. Every time I go to the lobby, I see many people taking photos on the large front terrace! The green lawn and pool areas are maintained daily, and you can really see the effort put in.
**Stay:** Check-in was fast. The room was clean and felt new. Both the hard furnishings and soft decorations don't look like an old hotel that has been open for many years; you can tell a lot of effort has gone into maintenance! Housekeeping was very prompt; any requests were answered quickly without waiting.
**Food:** The breakfast offerings are similar to hotels of the same caliber, but you can tell the ingredients are of higher quality (80% of the dishes were freshly made, not pre-packaged). I didn't initially plan to have dinner at the hotel, but I happened to catch the beach buffet on a less windy evening and decided to try it. Both the entertainment and food were excellent, and the entertainment changed constantly, which was a pleasant surprise.
**Play:** The pool is the best I've experienced so far. It's well-sectioned so both adults and children can have fun, and the water temperature is comfortable. There are always lifeguards by the pool and the sea, so even with kids, you can relax and enjoy the pool, beach, and ocean. The beach is cleaned daily, and there are free warm towels for swimming in the sea. The sand is very fine, the shells are quite intact, and the rinse-off area is well-designed and not crowded.
**Suggestions: (More details)**
1. The TV doesn't support screen mirroring, and I couldn't find a way to connect to the balcony ceiling speakers (or the guidance wasn't clear enough for me to find it). This feels a bit outdated.
2. The toiletries (non-bath and body products) are quite low-quality, similar to what you'd find in a budget hotel.
3. The room lighting lacks a master switch. It would be an improvement if the balcony light and sleeping area lights could be turned off with one switch by the bed.
4. Due to the hotel's multi-building layout, rooms near the sea often require walking through long corridors, and the elevators are somewhat complicated. It takes a while to get to the front desk and restaurant. Some areas of the hotel are very mysterious, but it's indeed easy to get lost inside the buildings.

As the first stop of our honeymoon in Sanya, after two months of searching, we finally settled on the Yalong Bay Marriott Hotel.
The concierge contacted us two days prior to arrival, and was incredibly attentive throughout our stay, always checking in on how we were doing and if we needed anything. Our flight arrived late, but check-in was seamless. We received a welcome necklace, and our luggage was brought directly to our room, which was a thoughtful touch. The room itself was superb, and even included a minibar!
Knowing it was our honeymoon, they meticulously decorated our room; the folded ornaments were adorable! Opening the window, our balcony overlooked the ocean – truly stunning.
Since it was close to Christmas, the lobby also featured festive Christmas decorations!
During the day, relaxing on the beach with a coconut was incredibly enjoyable and comfortable.
The public areas are beautiful and great for photos. The complimentary photoshoot also turned out lovely, and we even paid extra to select more pictures.
As for breakfast, we never made it down as we always slept in.
Ordering food delivery nearby was very convenient with plenty of options. The few places we ordered from were all excellent – no misses, which made us very happy! We especially loved Qiongzhai Qingbulang (a local dessert).

The waffles at the restaurant were delicious, and having a private heated pool (30°C) right outside our door was truly the best – definitely the highlight of our trip. The room was full of surprises. We chose the Mediterranean style. As soon as I entered the room, the blue and white color scheme seemed to pull me to the romantic seaside. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and I slept very well at night. And the room is spotlessly clean, and the details are full of care.

The room was spacious with a balcony, and it was very clean. The lobby staff were helpful with opening car doors and handling luggage. The hotel also has a laundry room (or you can just hand wash a few things, they dry quickly). They even have robots to deliver your takeout, which I thought was great all around.
For getting around, you just cross the street and you're at the beach, a park, and the Coconut Dream Corridor. In the park, there were these beautifully dressed ladies, I think from Xinjiang? dancing, and I couldn't help but stop and watch them. To the left of the hotel entrance, there's a KFC, a supermarket, and Miniso. Our family of five, four adults and one baby, booked two rooms. Upon arrival, staff member #1 was incredibly helpful with our luggage – we had a lot! They were super enthusiastic and patient. When I booked, I didn't realize the rooms were in separate buildings, but front desk staff #6 and #10 (if I recall correctly, hotel management please verify who was working around 2:30 PM during check-in, my memory isn't the best) were so thoughtful. To keep our family together, they directly upgraded us to a sea-view villa! It was absolutely fantastic; our family could stay together, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. It had three rooms: two single beds on the first floor and two king-sized beds on the second, each with its own bathroom. It was incredibly convenient for our family! Plus, it's super, super close to the beach, with a special sand play area for babies. The hotel also has a swimming pool, and our baby never wanted to get out of the water, having a blast every day! Breakfast was also excellent; we ate very well daily! There were tons of Russians, making it feel like we were abroad, haha! My elder's shoes went missing, and staff member #1 meticulously checked the surveillance footage, quickly locating the shoes which had been forgotten in a corner. I hadn't even noticed the shoes were gone, but the staff member diligently searched for them for my elder. Housekeeper #5 also added me on WeChat and was very dedicated, asking about our stay preferences and experience, and continued to help search for the shoes. They even notified my elder and me immediately once they were found. They also arranged a late check-out until 2 PM. I honestly feel like two days was far too short; I could have stayed indefinitely! The hotel environment is lovely, nestled among green mountains and clear waters. However, it's a bit far from the beach, which wasn't an issue since we were driving.

My family and I booked a room with a 180-degree sea view. We were given a suite on the top floor. The room we booked looked quite fresh and renovated in the photos. The suite was spacious, the sea view was gorgeous, but the room itself was outdated and in need of cosmetic repairs. The room was also quite dirty, especially the floor, which had not been cleaned after the room was cleaned (see the photo of my feet after 10 minutes in the room after taking a shower, and the photo of the floor immediately after cleaning).
The breakfasts at the hotel are normal, moderately varied for this money.
Also slightly overshadowed the impression of the stay the following fact: we were delayed on Hainan for 2 days for certain reasons, and for this period of time booked this hotel. Before settling, I approached the reception, said that we were supposed to fly today, but remained on the island for another day, and asked if we should notify the migration service about this, despite the fact that there was a visa-free regime between our countries. The receptionist said that I had to go to the migration department right away to report my extended stay on the island, or they wouldn't let me stay at the hotel. I took a taxi to the designated address, but when I arrived, the department was closed because it was Sunday. When I returned to the hotel, the receptionist told me that she had forgotten that it was Sunday. Despite the fact that we were traveling with a child, they refused to let us stay at the hotel without notifying the migration department. After 1.5 hours, they checked us in on the condition that we would go to the migration office in the early morning. However, after consulting with lawyers, I found out that since our countries have a visa-free regime, we do not need to notify the authorities if we stay in China for up to 30 days. Facilities: The facilities are quite dated. Half of the swimming pools were out of order. Our room's Wi-Fi had issues upon check-in, and later we discovered problems with the bathroom power outlet. The gym, advertised as being on the 3rd floor, was actually located one floor below and had such a strong musty smell that it was unbearable to be in. The fish spa pool was empty, with no fish and no water. Despite asking the front desk beforehand and being told it was open, we found it completely unusable and only learned it was under maintenance from a lifeguard. The front desk staff seemed completely uninformed about these issues.
Cleanliness: Room cleanliness was acceptable.
Ambience: The ambience was alright.
Service: Service was quite good.
Complimentary Perks: Aside from the complimentary Qingbuliang (a local dessert), most of the other perks went unused.

We really enjoyed our stay — the hotel left an absolutely positive impression. It is very comfortable and cozy, with a high level of service.
Special and sincere thanks to Caroline — she responded to all our requests incredibly fast and resolved everything within minutes. Every request was handled quickly and smoothly. Unlike many other hotels, we had no issues connecting a PlayStation: the staff came promptly, set everything up, and connected it to the internet. All of this was possible thanks to Caroline’s attention and care.
We would also like to highlight the hotel grounds — they are very well maintained, green, and pleasant for walking. The staff working around the property are extremely attentive: every time we arrived, they immediately offered towels and water, always and without reminders. This level of care was something we truly missed in other hotels.
A few suggestions regarding breakfast. We would love to see more European options and clearer zoning — separate areas for European and Chinese cuisine — so that in such a large restaurant it’s easier to find the dishes you’re looking for.
It would also be great to add more healthy options: clearly separate freshly squeezed juices from packaged ones and include several sugar-free options, especially yogurts.
As for coffee, it would be wonderful to have coffee prepared by a barista instead of machines, with the option of alternative milk such as oat or coconut.
One small inconvenience during breakfast was the queues at peak hours, where guests were called loudly by name. Early in the morning this feels a bit uncomfortable, when you just want to start the day calmly. Perhaps this process could be made quieter or better optimized to avoid queues.
We would also like to separately mention the room cleaning — it was absolutely excellent, very thorough and attentive to detail.

Right outside the hotel, turn right and go through an underpass, and you'll reach Coconut Dream Corridor. The beach here is similar to Clear Water Bay, with fine sand that's much better than what you find at Sanya Bay or Dadonghai. The hotel seems to be a bit older, and the rooms look a bit dated, but the excellent service makes up for it. And here's a very important point! Even though the hotel is close to the airport, it's extremely difficult to get a ride-sharing service or a taxi! On the day I left, I waited for almost an hour and still couldn't get a ride. If you're in a hurry, make sure to plan extra time. |7.53km from city center1. Insect control and environmental maintenance are not in place. I stayed in Sanya for 2 weeks and got several big mosquito bites in Anaya. I was probably bitten during breakfast. There were a lot of mosquitoes in the restaurant and corridor. I stayed in several hotels in Sanya. The breakfast was all open or semi-open, and there were not many mosquitoes.
2. The design is weird and impractical. The largest suite in the hotel I booked had a TV on the side wall and could not be seen. I feel that many details of the whole hotel are not good. The design is just for taking good photos, checking in for internet celebrities or taking pictures of clothes, without considering daily practicality.
3. The maintenance of facilities is very general. There is no signal on the mobile phone in the room, the courtyard in the room cannot be seen carefully, and the hotel pool is full of leaves and insect corpses.
Combined with the price of 2-3k in the off-season, it is far inferior to the major five-star and luxury hotels in Sanya. It feels like the standard of a homestay

Everything you need is included: slippers, robes, toothbrushes, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, water, Sprite, and Coke. Cleaning is free. Everything is replenished. All questions can be addressed via WeChat. They respond quickly to all inquiries. There are no dishes in the kitchen. It turns out you can't actually use them. You can negotiate and use them, but only if you wash them yourself. For us, the mattresses were very hard.
2. Complex grounds. Enclosed, quite large, clean, and green. The pool is lovely; the water is clean and a little cool. There are six sun loungers by the pool. Since it's almost never crowded, we had plenty of space.
3. Beach. Public, right across the street. There are iron sun loungers, which are free. Usually, all the sun loungers are occupied by Chinese people, but they don't stay there for long. So, we usually lay down nearby, waited about 15 minutes, and a free one would definitely appear. You can sit on the sand in the shade of the palm trees to the left, but it's a long walk from there to the swimming area. Further to the right, from the factory, there are wooden sun loungers shaded by palm trees; there are always free ones there, but the current is strong and people don't swim there. The beach has free showers where you can rinse off the sand and a toilet.
4. Location. Excellent. There's a supermarket with cheap prices right in the complex. A 10-minute walk away is a square with outdoor cafes. A 20-minute walk away is an evening market with fruit, street food, and a shopping center. Bus 306 (2 baths) provides direct connections to Taoist Grottoes Park (the stop is on the side of the residential complex) and to Flower Park and the Old Town (the stop is across the street from the residential complex).
5. Breakfast. They're not European, they're geared towards the Chinese. The only drinks are coffee and water, no juice or tea. They have boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, some kind of ham, French fries, nuggets, local dumplings, buns, and a bunch of other weird Chinese crap. Fruit options include watermelons and tangerines. We found plenty to nibble on.
Bottom line: we liked it. The area itself is semi-deserted, with few people, almost no cars, and very quiet. Prices are significantly lower than in Sanya and Dodonghai. There are almost no foreigners here; only locals hang out here. If you want to truly immerse yourself in the local culture and enjoy a peaceful atmosphere, don't hesitate to stay!

It has a kitchen with basic cooking utensils, so you can prepare your own meals, which is great for families traveling with elderly people or children. Since it's an apartment, it's different from a resort hotel, but the price is really good, offering excellent value for money. The owner's attitude was fantastic. On the first day, I actually had a minor issue with the room. After I reported it in the group chat to the owner and property manager, they responded very quickly. The owner even came to the room with a ladder himself to fix it – truly dedicated to running the business.
Here are some suggestions for improvement:
1. The toilet paper quality could be better; I suggest upgrading it.
2. The water heater is electric. After two people shower, you have to wait half an hour for hot water. It would be best to inform guests about this before check-in, otherwise, running out of hot water halfway through a shower, especially with children, can be quite frustrating.
3. It would be better if the DIY breakfast items were purchased according to the number of guests and duration of stay. This would prevent waste from uneaten food that can't be taken away.
4. Before check-in, the Ctrip order showed complimentary travel photography, children's swim rings, and sand play tools. These might not be offered unless you proactively ask upon arrival. However, I think shared children's sand play tools are a great idea as they reduce waste. I suggest actively offering or asking guests about these amenities upon check-in for a better experience.

The rooms are quite spacious, featuring a balcony and a drying rack, which was very convenient. The air conditioning worked great. We were also very satisfied with the hotel's swimming pool. The parking lot is huge and even has EV charging stations, which was incredibly convenient for us driving an electric car. We ended up extending our stay for another night, making it a two-night stay, which was super convenient.
Cons: There are only two washing machines and two dryers for guests, so queueing to do laundry was a huge hassle. What's more, they don't provide laundry detergent or disinfectant; you have to bring your own, which is quite inconvenient. Even budget chains like Hanting Hotels offer these for free, but this hotel doesn't and charges for them. After washing our clothes, we needed to go out and asked a staff member to help transfer them to the dryer an hour later, but our request was refused. Even Hanting Hotels provide this service, yet a hotel of this size doesn't.
The young lady who checked us in at the front desk had an excellent service attitude, but another staff member was very rigid and had an unpleasant demeanor that made us uncomfortable. Curiously, they seemed much friendlier towards foreign guests.

[Happy emoji] The front desk staff member was really enthusiastic. When he learned we were on our honeymoon, he immediately upgraded us to a seaview room without a second thought. The room was spacious and very clean, and you could see the pool and the ocean right out the window. Check-in was quick, and I couldn't wait to explore the room. Unfortunately, my photography skills aren't great, so I totally failed to capture its essence. I especially loved the small detail of the clothes rack on the balcony; it folds and is fixed to the wall, so you don't have to worry about strong winds knocking it over and dirtying your clothes. There's a sightseeing shuttle for Tianya Town available in the hotel lobby, which was an amazing experience. I'll definitely choose this place again next time. The spacious layout included 4 rooms, a large living room with a dining area, an open kitchen, and an impressive entertainment room complete with a cozy sofa, TV, mahjong table, and pool table. The private pool was a fantastic addition for our 3 families - 3 couples shared 3 rooms, while the kids enjoyed their own.
The price was quite reasonable for such a villa in this prime location. However, we did encounter some maintenance issues, such as a broken drawer and some dirt marks in the shower room. The air conditioning in the living room struggled to keep up with the summer heat, which made it take a while to cool down. There was strong food smell in the living room as well, prompting us to spend more time in the cooler and more comfortable entertainment room. After all it isn’t a hotel, more like an Airbnb house in a residential estate.
This villa provided a great opportunity for a family holiday near the water park. We appreciated the butler service via WeChat, which catered to our needs throughout our stay.
