Amazing hotel room with a fish tank! Perfect amenities. Hotel service couldn’t be more helpful. Bringing extra water and ice to the room. Hotel room was extremely hot the manager brought down a fan. Breakfast was very chaotic, food was cold. All in all would 100% stay again. Cliff light show was amazing, water light show was ok.
If you want to use the swimming pool being a cap as we read on previous reviews it was needed.

This hotel accept foreigners definitely no issues with check in and check out.
The location of hotel is great but still need travel 30min to 60min to the place that I visit like zhujiajiao yu yuan and maybe closer one is the bund.
Front counter staff are approachable. For order car services they usually won't provide. They don't know exact step for order didi for foreigner. Quite troublesome for them. U better own a local sim card.
Their shower and body shampoo are excellent and the water pressure are good and supere.toilet and toiletry provided an very clean.
The toilet don't have proper privacy for family or friends as the glassdoor are transparent and visible see u shower or doing bisnuss.

I regret never bring along my hair dryer.but they do provide.

It located at the central Shanghai and is close to many entertainment centres and tourist attractions and shopping centra. It was very surprise to me that my room is very quiet at night and you can watch a film on the wall while you are in the bed. It was a overall pleasant experience. Staffs are kind and friendly. The room and bathroom are spacious and well decorated. Special thanks to Mr. Oliver from the executive lounge for providing information beforehand on the activities the hotel offer, suggestions in planning the stay. The hotel management is well coordinated but the Healing touch( the spa which is a separate building) isn’t very coordinated. Although we pre-booked one activity, after we arrived they weren’t ready and we only could do it after half and hour, so we missed the next activity as planned in the schedule. The breakfast is as per standard hotel. The staff provided a health card in the room to note blood pressure, it was supposed to be checked by the staff at breakfast to provide special diet recommendations. There wasn’t anyone at breakfast for consultation.
Overall the experience was fun with special teas, herbal bath and various sessions. But with all the crowd and wedding parties, it didn’t feel a quiet spa resort.From$203

It is very convenient to go to Disney. There is a bus stop just a few steps away, three stops to Disney, and Bicester Shopping Center is across the road. After a day at Disneyland, I went to take a bath when I was tired, and then made an appointment for a massage to relieve fatigue. Suddenly I remembered that there was an ice cream making machine, a tutorial on hand-folding paper, and there was a swing outside and a bunny on the lawn. Temporary intention, in the bubble hotel around Shanghai, the children wanted to soak, so they found this one. The hotel is relatively new, the room is good and quite big, because there are guests who can soak in the soup, there are not many people, so in the afternoon it became a ”private soup” for the mother and daughter. The water was clean and the water temperature was hot. The young lady at the front desk was very nice, patiently helped the children to put on the kimono, and the children had various concave shapes, which were beautiful. To be honest, I didn’t report too much expectations at the beginning. I thought that I was close to the planetarium, so I came to transition overnight. By the way, I made a soup ～ I didn’t expect to live in it and it felt pretty good.
Environment: The second floor is accommodation, and there is a special passage for the guest room. Quite quiet. Mainly Japanese style, whether it is the place to soak or the interior of the room is quite clean.
Facilities: This hot spring hall is still quite small, sweating is just a room, and the soup pool is not particularly large. But I still have a good time. Barefooted, running east and west to play, there is a small children's paradise on the first floor.
Service: Halloween entry will give children candy and five game coins. The clerk's service attitude is very good. The meal is also good, the breakfast is very rich, the food is very full!

I wasn’t overly sure on the amenities the hotel had (pool etc). The room was very clean with a lovely large bed. Good wifi, big TV, water in room, optional mini bar. I ordered some room service for lunch and it was very nice and came within a good time. All staff were very kind. Great location walking distance from Shanghai railway station. Got there a few hours early but hotel allowed us to leave luggage there whilst we went for lunch. Lovely hotel, staff, breakfast etc..
Only downside is that the pool is 6th floor in next building so you have to come down, go past reception and lobby and take lift to the 6th floor there. The small jacuzzi was not available when we wanted to use it as it was safer with our 3 year old so had to go into the main pool but we felt like we were getting in the way as others were using it to do their length swimming. Also, to get to the pool you have to climb up some stairs and at the bottom what looks like a rubber grip flooring was full of cold water but it was clear so when i stepped into it with cloth sandals that the hotel gave us in the room, they got soaking wet and the water was freezing cold. There should be a sign there to say there is a pool of water (see picture attached)
Other downside in the room is that the lighting system is very confusing - we had an executive suite and wanted to put our infant to sleep in the main room whilst we relaxed in the living room but if you wanted the lighting on in the living area you had to go to the bedroom to turn it on and the lights next to the front door were also confusing as there was no option to turn on the lights in the lounge area and if there was, it wasn’t stated hence why we say it was all very confusing.From$105

Room- Excellent design, huge room with seperate toilet(automation toiletbowl) and shower with bathtub, dressing table, big wardrobe to hang coats and big space to put luggages. Spacious Living area. Minibar is free and replenish everyday.

Overall a disappointing experience for several reasons. I’m not one who usually writes negative reviews or makes lists of issues when I stay at hotels, but there were a few that were difficult to ignore:
1. I stayed on Christmas Eve because we were having the hotel’s brunch the next day. I thought I would have a nice, relaxing morning to wake up and get ready, but instead was awoken to construction work out in the hallway—drilling and hammering that were incredibly loud. Furthermore, the whole room was then filled with the STRONGEST, AWFUL smell of burning plastic that I had ever smelt. Because none of the windows in the room could open, I had to suffer through the smell and try to ready as quickly as possible…not a pleasant way to wake up!
2. The bathroom just wasn’t clean. There were urine and possible blood stains on the toilet seat and floor that I had to wipe away when I first arrived to the room. Cleaning services should do a better job to check the toilet surfaces when cleaning.
3. It’s December and the middle of a cold snap in Shanghai, but for some reason the room was unbearably hot and stuffy. I turned off the heating and even tried to turn on the cold AC but the temperature remained the same. It was difficult to sleep because of how hot and sweaty I was. The windows couldn’t be opened so I couldn’t even get a fresh breeze…From$166

Another great stay at the Swissotel! As always a great welcome and greeting by the night manager Jason. His associate, Jack is also always kind and very helpful with anything that I may need. Always so inviting, caring and makes me feel like a family member when I stay. The hotel is decorated nicely for Christmas and has a nice holiday feel.
Breakfast is always a nice treat, served hot and fresh with many options.

I had an excellent experience and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was lovely - spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean. Tommy Ma handled my check-in and was incredibly friendly and hospitable. His top-notch customer service really made me feel welcome. We just had some concerns during booking and check in, it was not indicated that our room has no windows but the reception just gave us this room without windows. Due to winter, temperature control cannot be changed so it tends to be very warm.From$132

Our stay was pleasant and most of the staff were very helpful & friendly. They will greet us whenever we walked pass. Too bad we did not have the chance to enjoy the facilities and dine in the hotel.
One feedback I had was during our check-in day on 28 Feb 2024. We were not sure if we had arrived at the right hotel as we do not know the hotel's Chinese name. It was raining and I wanted to alight & make a quick check with an older porter at the hotel entrance/drop-off point. When I asked the older porter ”这里是不是 Okura Garden Hotel?” He just brushed me aside and said ”不知道!”. In the end I had to dashed into the hotel lobby and reconfirmed with the reception on duty.
Understand that English may not be a common language for the hotel staff especially the older ones. But won't it make a great difference if the staff at least knows the English name of the hotel that they are working for?From$109

I have stayed in this hotel before when it was the Hilton. It was good then, and it is good even now. It used the home tennis stars during the Tennis Masters tournament in Shanghai. The location is the best part of this hotel. and easy access to Metro stations, the neighboring roads Julu Lu Changle Lu and Fumin Lu are buzzing with activity on weekend nights with their endless bars and restaurants! a great place to chill out, and I did just that. I got upgraded to a fantastic room with a view of Jingan Temple!From$109

This was the best hotel experience we have ever had! The service was beyond fabulous! Matthew and Tina were so lovely and thoughtful. I am only sorry I can’t remember everyone’s names or else I would mention them too. Matthew and Tina went out of their way to offer us gifts during our stay. Matthew even mixed special cocktails just for us! We would highly recommend anyone to stay at a Club Lounge room here as I can guarantee you will be very well taken care of. This was our first time staying here as a guest. We were lucky that we got upgraded to Club Deluxe River room, which is bigger and better. I love their massive bathroom, very clean. The staffs were friendly and approachable too.
I love the view from our room, especially at night. The breakfast buffet has 2 options, western and chinese cuisine. We tried both and it tastes good, good view as well. Everything was great, and we plan to come back again.From$142

I stayed for a few days in a row. I can take a walk along the community at night. Very close to the convention and exhibition center, just across the road, walk from Xujing East Station of Metro Line 2 for ten minutes, there are convenience stores nearby, eating and shopping is also convenient.
