Still have some things to work on.. They didn’t started on top when our pre-booked shuttle didn’t showed up at airport. Waited an hour until a security guard at the airport helped us order a tricycle. Some misunderstanding between booking office and the reception was the answer, but they paid for our tricycle. It was a nice and modern hotel. Not a resort for pool relaxing because they only have few sun beds and always occupied. Even towels were few. Always in laundry was the answer. The rooms were tiny and dark. Always humid and moist. All our clothes and even bed linens felt wet. The food was tasty and good. But as in many places the service isn’t very fast. Long waiting times, from order to waiting even if they weren’t crowded. They were really keen on the allergies and made some offer to try to fix things. Even if they had spring rolls med of rice paper on the menu, of course the rice paper were out of stock they didn’t got new for our whole stay. As much others. No Cola Zero. Out of French fries and so on. They’re not quick to clean used glasses around pool area. Our tv didn’t work. They had not a great interest in trying to make it work. Our door lock same thing.. Good thing is the free shuttle to ElNido, LioBeach and the airport. Upon checkout I got the question how the stay was, my hesitation in answer and that it didn’t fulfill my expectations I didn’t got any reaction or questions how they could have done better. Don’t ask the question if you don’t want the answer.

Last Frontier Beach Resort-Adults Only

EL Nido|8.64km from city center
We spent 6 nights at the Last Frontier Beach Resort. It is a great little gem located in the Corong area of El Nido. The location is right on the water and a short trike ride to El Nido. The property is adults only and comprised of mostly individual cottages and a few suites and standard rooms. We occupied the suites while the majority of our group stayed in the cottages. All of the rooms are great, charming, well maintained and we would most likely choose the cottages if we were to return. The grounds are lush, tropical and peaceful. Close to the beach is a wonderful pool and lawn area overlooking the ocean where the 7 in our group spent each morning sipping coffee and in the evening gathering for cocktails while watching the sunset. The restaurant is very well staffed and the food is delicious. Judith and her crew work very hard and did a great job meeting our needs during breakfast, happy hours and dinners. They are very friendly, a pleasure to be around and super attentive to any request you may make. Diana and Weng did a great job at the front desk and were able to assist with tour arrangements, massage appointments and a whole host of other requests with ease and grace. For our farewell dinner Diana was able to arrange for a traditional “Boodle Fight” feast on the beach for our group which was amazing. We left the Last Frontier with the most amazing memories and pictures of sunsets and highly recommend the property to anyone visiting El Nido!

Nacpan Beach Villas

EL Nido|0.9km from Nacpan Beach
I can’t recommend this place highly enough!! Based right on the beach, it is truly an oasis of beauty, peace, delicious food and amazing staff! We stayed in the King Size villa which had 2 bathrooms and the coolest sensor-operated toilets!! The drinks in the mini bar were complimentary for the first time (chargeable for refills) and the bedroom was spacious and beautifully decorated with air-conditioning. The villas are literally a few meters away from the most gorgeous, unspoiled beach I have ever come across in my life offering the most breathtaking sunsets🌅 An added bonus is the turtle hatchery on site where we were fortunate enough to see the release of baby turtles into the ocean on 2 occasions. The setup is such that the Nacpan Villas, the Glamping site and Beach Resort are all next to each other and share the same restaurant, Sunmai. The quality of the food, in addition to the menu options and prices at this place, in my opinion, is absolutely outstanding and great value for money considering the resort setup. What’s more is that you have the option to enjoy your food on the beach loungers overlooking the ocean and taking in the sunsets. We thoroughly enjoyed all their seafood options and also the wood-fire pizza, which was ideal with a beer or mango shake for an afternoon snack😉 The spread for breakfast was vast with lots of delectable food and beverage options. My personal favourites were the garlic rice, fish dishes and bite-sized portions of moist chocolate cake😍 If you’re tired of Sunmai and looking for a bit of a change, you are also able to dine at the neighbouring Ankla resort. A special mention has to be made of the staff who are truly so friendly, kind and ever so helpful in any way they can be! It honestly makes such a big difference to be in a place with this level of authentic hospitality and service and I am ever so grateful for this! Sheryl helped us with securing a transfer from El Nido town to the villa. She kept up consistent communication before we arrived and ensured we were safely picked up and transported to the villa! Hazel and Merla were also 2 absolute stars during our stay, ensuring we were comfortable in our villa and advising and helping to book activities and transfers for the duration of our stay. They also arranged a little cake for my birthday which made it truly special💜 Lastly, I would also like to commend the resort for their punctuality and sticking to the times indicated for collections and drop-offs! This was much appreciated! All in all, it was a beautiful few days spent at Nacpan Villas and I would love to return here some day😊

Dolarog Beach Resort

The cottages are lovely and clean located near the beach. You can totally relax away from el nido and still go for dinner at a nice restaurant just by walking along the beach (takes around 20-30 min to walk to vanilla beach and have to consider the tide!). The breakfast was good, but otherwise we wouldn't recommend eating there - we tried the new year's eve dinner which was overpriced and a normal dinner when we got cold meat and seafood in a vegetarian dish! Also the food didn't come at the same time, so you couldn'r really enjoy eating with your partner. We booked through agoda and they didn't answer any of our emails or calls. The day of our arrival we finally got someone who answered the phone and organised a private transfer from puerto princesa ( around 6500 pesos). They also have a free ride by golf cart from mcdonalds/ vanilla beach to the resort. If you want to go to el nido a tricylce from mcdonals costs 150pesos.
Dormitels.ph El Nido

We got the highest tier beachfront access villas with AC. We were pleasantly surprised to find that dormitels was connected to eco hotels, a bigger and higher end hotel, and the staff was more than helpful. Every time before we left the hotel we inquired how much a trike would cost from that location. The given price by the drivers was always higher and we chewed them down to the price given by them. Location is great as even tho it is really not in front of the beach as advertised, it’s part of a little cluster with some of the best food we found on the island! Altrove for pizza and the Israeli falafels were to die for!

Mansion Buenavista

This review is long overdue. We stayed here for about 5 days after taking a boat from Coron. Location: close enough to walk easily to the heart of the city and beach, without being stuck in the hustle and bustle of the tourists. It’s just 2 streets, maybe a 4-5 min walk into the town and about 10-15 to hit the beach. Rooms: spacious, exactly what you see on the photos. The view from the 2nd floor middle room was awesome. I know a few reviews mentioned the 3rd so we considered asking to see if it was open, but our view was perfect. The balcony was great too, spend the mornings there packing for the day. Staff: Super friendly staff and owners. This was actually probably our most memorable part because the owners were always available and happy to chat with us about our plans, tours, or get/find us things to do. They have someone on staff at the gate all day/night which was cool. The owners even saw us walking to the mountain area to do the climb and picked us up on their scooters and dropped us off. Thanks for the great time, recommendations and making everything feel easy and accessible.
Bulskamp Inn
4.4/541 Reviews
Bulskamp is exactly the type of accommodation we seek out when we are travelling. The owner Ray is available all day to answer questions, arrange tours, book tricycles or just have a chat. He, along with all the other staff are very helpful friendly and welcoming and make you feel very comfortable. There is a beautiful communal area with comfortable seating and hammocks where guests gather for drinks and travel chats or reading and relaxing. This area is the heart of the hotel and what sets it apart from most other accommodation in town. There is a great choice of breakfast options and a good selection of very well priced drinks available throughout the day and night. The rooms are spotlessly clean with aircon, fan, tv and safe and they are serviced daily. We initially booked for three nights but the hotel atmosphere and beauty of El Nido made us stay for longer. Highly recommended
