Location is easy to find and outdoor bath. Simple kitchen with two stoves. Still very nice and clean. The refrigerator simply keeps it cold, not freezing. Full breakfast, traditional continental breakfast.

Outstanding service in the middle of nowhere. The owner had vision to put the hotel in a unique place. Staff is attentive, courteous, helpful and respond to every request. The place is new, clean, modern, and efficient. The meals were excellent, better than expected. The lamb was delicious. Breakfasts were good as well. Plenty of choice and plenty to eat. I highly recommend it. I will go back.

The hotel is small, clean and tidy, breakfast is OK, the service staff is warm, it is a small hotel that can stay, will not be fooled.

The stay was clean, and the owner is friendly and provide breakfast for us.

We are really disappointed at the stay of the Aurora Igloo as it didn’t mention that there’s no toilet inside the room. We have to walk for 100m outside to get the bathroom as the winter is so cold and windy in December. Moreover, the hotel heater isn’t working really well, so we didn’t stay for the second night. As we have spoken to the owner, he says that we are able to receive refund in to my card. Thank you.

I checked in with my friend at 7:30 in the evening. I didn't find the front desk. I was in contact with Ctrip. The processing speed was very fast. I quickly contacted the store, but we were surprised that the store was in the distance. Seeing us, like two fools standing next to the cabin outside the 500M, it was raining, blowing the wind, did not want to come over and tell us where to check in, personally feel that the service is general, only when selling breakfast A little warm. Le check-in est un peu particulier: il faut appeler un numéro, entre 16h et 21h, depuis un téléphone fixe situé dans le hall. Je sens venir le coup foireux... et ça n'a pas loupé! Le téléphone ne fonctionne pas, par SMS pas de réponse non plus, mail idem,... nous finissons par appeler via booking et mon téléphone, on me répond en islandais, je comprends rien, parle 3 mots d'anglais, du coup mon interlocuteur aussi, sauf que ça capte pas, et finis par raccrocher, espérant qu'on me rappelle, en vain...dehors, ça capte mieux, et on finit par avoir un numéro de chambre et un code de porte... La cuisine commune aux 15 chambres semble très bien équipée : machine à café façon hotel avec cappuccino et cie, équipée de deux fours, 2 plaques, ... c'est génial! Oui, enfin ça, c'était sur le papier: la machine à café ne fonctionne pas, il n'y a qu'une plaque pour les deux fours, et aucun plat. les salles d'eau sont très limites pour le nombre de couchage.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff. Stayed 2 nights for my birthday. When we got to room, there was a complimentary bottle of wine and a nice note, very nice surprise! Room was big and hotel very clean. The breakfast was delicious, a lot of choices, and the best we had during our 8 days in Iceland. Dinner was excellent, expensive but worth the splurge. Mushroom soup was good. I had the beef filet and my husband had the lamb, both were excellent, cooked perfect. Waiter surprised me with a dessert for my birthday, they definitely made me feel special! Like the northern lights wake up call option. Was hoping to see the Northern lights but it was bad weather so didn’t see them. It is expensive but worth it. We would definitely stay here again.
