Hotel Excelsior
4.4/571 Reviews
This is an ”average” hotel per Zermatt standards. This is not a pejorative statement. Just realistic considering the price of hotels in Zermatt. The location is perfect. Overall we had an excellent stay. Very friendly welcome, nice large room with a clean bathroom a bit small. However, we were supposed to have a mountain view on our reservation and we did not. Breakfast was a buffet style which offer could be improved. We had one dinner at the restaurant and it was good. The waitress Christina was very friendly. Beds were very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel for visitors who want to be well treated and not spend a fortune in 4 stars hotels.

A Cozy Apar**ent in the Heart of Zermatt: Vrony Apar**ent at Hotel Walliserhof Nestled amidst the breathtaking Swiss Alps, Vrony Apar**ent at Hotel Walliserhof in Zermatt offers a truly enchanting escape. My stay at this charming apar**ent left me thoroughly impressed, and I'm eager to share my experience. The only downside if you booked the apar**ent is that you will have to head to Hotel Walliserhof Zermatt to register to check in and to collect the keys. The staff at Hotel Walliserhof were helpful and patient to share all the information. The Vrony Apar**ent itself exudes Alpine charm and modern comfort. The spacious living area, adorned with traditional Swiss décor, provided a cozy ambiance perfect for relaxation after a day of exploring the stunning surroundings view at their balcony (living room and rooms). Master room with toilet inside. And second room comes with loft with a small bed if you have another pax. The third room comes with another 2 single beds. There are a total of 3 toilets with 2 toilets with shower facilities. The fully equipped kitchenette allowed for convenient meal preparation, offering the option to dine in at our own leisure. One of the highlights of my stay was undoubtedly the breathtaking views from the apar**ent's balcony. Waking up to the sight of the majestic Matterhorn towering in the distance was a truly unforgettable experience. The balcony served as the perfect vantage point to soak in the beauty of Zermatt. The amenities at Hotel Walliserhof further enhanced my stay. The spa facilities provided a welcome respite, offering relaxation and rejuvenation after a day of hiking or skiing. Location-wise, Vrony Apar**ent boasts an ideal position in the heart of Zermatt. Just a stone's throw away from the vibrant town center and within easy reach of the ski lifts and train station. Overall, my experience at Vrony Apar**ent by Hotel Walliserhof was great!

I am very satisfied with the fact that I can see the Matterhorn from the balcony. The front desk was very considerate and sent it to the room. It also introduced various instructions in detail. There is a special welcome card and the facilities are complete. There are also chocolates of the same type as the Matterhorn in the refrigerator. You can take pictures and check in. There are various commercial streets. convenient
Alpine Hotel Perren

The hotel is better to find, walk 10 minutes from the train station, you can see Hongfeng when you go out. The front desk service at check-in is normal, there is no smile, and you must provide proof of paper proof of stay, and finally accept the electronic version after the negotiation. The breakfast variety is general, there are not many choices, the elevator is an old sliding door elevator, and it will vibrate when starting and stopping. The room is small, the quilt is thin and the surroundings are quiet.
Overlook Lodge by Cervo Zermatt

When we entered the apartment, the first thing that struck us was the elegant design and the fantastic view of the Matterhorn. At second glance, we thought of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Only it didn't have seven little forks, seven little spoons and seven little knives, but exactly four of each. Incidentally, the second bedroom with the bunk bed is so tiny that the dwarfs are better off taking off their pointed hats and coats in front of the door because it gets too cramped inside. We would have preferred a shower there - the spacious bathroom has a tub with a glass pane covering half the side. I always manage to flood the room and getting in and out is always a sporting challenge. But enough slander. The apartment is really a force, a large, covered, wind and weather-protected seat with a pretty designer table, where you have to be careful that the cutlery doesn't fall through the metal rungs, placemats would be practical. A huge, sunny garden terrace with lots of privacy, two umbrellas and three loungers. Spacious eat-in kitchen with a light-flooded living room and pretty furniture. All color matched perfectly. Incidentally, in addition to the limited number of cutlery and glasses, the kitchen is surprisingly well equipped, Nesspresso coffee machine, first-class dishwasher, induction cooker with 4 plates, efficient exhaust hood, super oven with steamer, microwave, huge refrigerator, pans and what is a lack in some holiday apartments, here even with matching lids, raclette oven, fondue rechaud. A paradise for the ambitious amateur cook. Even a recipe book entitled ”Cooking really well with a maximum of 6 ingredients”. I leafed through it a bit, but the first few pages had ingredients that are hardly available in Zermatt in July, for example green asparagus or Thuringian Mett, whatever that is, maybe you can find something like that on the animal feed rack in the supermarket. But, as I said, the apartment is like a fairy tale. In the spacious bedroom there is a really comfortable double bed with comfortable bed linen and enough closets. We really liked it and when we travel to Zermatt again, we will gladly book this apartment again, if they let us in again after I slandered something here on Tripadvisor and one of the four glasses in the dishwasher broke on the last evening because I stuffed it in too tight.
