The bronze sculptures and stone carvings above the entrance of Fort Acaza have a king's emblem with castles and lions, representing Queen Isabella, lions representing Fernando II, from the two kingdoms of Castile and Aragon, who were grandparents of Charles V, who united Spain. Acaza Castle in Govia was the hub of the Castile Kingdom. Isabella grew up in this castle. It is generally said that Disney's Snow White Castle is based on this place.
