Gandan Temple (full name: Gandan Langjielin, Qing Shizong once gave the name: Yongshou Temple) is located on Wangguer Mountain, Daqi District, Lhasa City, Tibet Autonomous Region. The main buildings are Zongkaba Bedding Hall, Great Jingtang, monk House and other temples. After many times, they have been added or expanded, and they are all over Wangguer Mountain. Gandan Temple, is the most special temple in the six major temples of Huangjiao, it was personally prepared by the founder of Tibetan Buddhism Gelu, Master Zongkaba in 1409, is the ancestral temple of Gelu, with Zhexuan Temple, Sera Temple called Lhasa "three major temples". The temple is home to more than 90 of the remains of Gandan Chiba, and has hidden many cultural relics and crafts since the Ming Dynasty. There are buses in Jokhang Temple Square to Gandan Temple every morning, and the passengers are basically locals who worship Buddha.
