International Library of Children's Literature, National Diet Library Review

The library seems small but very distinctive. The books in it are said to be all about children. There are also children's activity rooms. The staff at the entrance are very enthusiastic. There are many people and special commentators to show them around.

The Imperial Library was built in 1906 and was designed to be larger, but coincided with the Sino-Russian War. The government was financially tight and was built in 1929. After the war, it was transformed into the International Children's Library.

The white wall tiles on the second floor were later added to a corridor, and the wooden window frames were all Meiji 39 years old. Even the chandeliers and red bricks have a history of more than 100 years, the Roman pillars of white plaster, and the palace-style library.

If you have children at home, you must bring them here to see. All of them are books about children. They are free to go inside. They are very comprehensive and have books in many national languages.

There are many exhibition halls and private libraries in Tokyo, and children's libraries are not big, mainly for teenagers.
