Lake Tianau is the second largest lake in New Zealand and the first largest lake on the South Island. The east of the lake is dominated by rolling hills, and the west is a magnificent forest and wilderness. Returning from the Mifo Fjord, staying at Tianau overnight, this small town can't be smaller. In the evening, walk out of the hotel and go to the lake. The lake is very quiet, there are flying wild ducks dotted on it, there are still sailing boats in the distance, everything is picturesque.
