The old palace transformed into the Patan Museum enjoys the reputation of "the most beautiful museum in South Asia" due to the beautiful back garden scenery. The museum has an unusually rich collection. The cast copper and gold-plated pure copper works are the main characteristics of the Patan Museum. Most of these artifacts are statues of Hindu and Buddhist gods.
