Saint Wenceslas Cathedral Olomouc Review

The tallest building in Olomouc, its clock tower is the fourth tallest building in the Czech Republic. Since Olomouc is on a large plain, the train is still some distance from the city, so you can see the landmark. Coincidentally, the window of the hotel can also see the clock tower. The church is named after the historical King Václav of Bohemia, and the catacombs contain the coffins of heroes and bishops.

I visited this church on a business trip six years ago in the spring. I didn't expect the authentic Roman Catholic church I first stepped into to be so grand. Without knowing their country's history, the most impressive thing is that the church is a wooden inscription in history of the church's name (priest or grand duke?) has several large walls. It is a sacred place, but there are always people who look at the scenery. I was stared at outside the church by a pair of gypsy-like brothers and sisters, probably looking at me as Asian face soft-hearted, constantly harassing me for small money, I was uneasy, I could only run away quickly. Later colleagues said that the Gypsies have been like this for hundreds of years, and now they are difficult to tolerate and can only make a living.

Because I lived on the edge of St. Wenceslas Cathedral, I just went to see it. The very magnificent Gothic church, the pointed tower top, the interior not only combines the baroque church, but also the ceiling is filled with very rich flower painting decoration, and the beautiful large window flowers with the same flower theme complement each other. It was just the warm and beautiful atmosphere that was not available inside the Gothic church in the past. It was when people went to church in droves, and they entered the door to see the miniature scenes that the three kings of the birth of Jesus came to see in the church.

The height of the church is 100 meters, very majestic, especially awesome. The status of the church is obvious in the West.

Named after the Archduke of Bohemia, Václav I. The facade of the church is beautifully decorated and carved, and the bell tower of the cathedral is100.65 meters high, which is the fourth tallest building in the Czech Republic, showing Olomouc's status as a regional religious center.
