The place where the Japanese invaders were buried during World War II illustrates Malaysia's magnanimity and is also a warning to all of us. We should never forget what happened before and what happened afterwards.

The majority of Sandakan Japanese Cemetery are believe belong to Karayuki-san,mainly daughters of poor Japanese people with no social status or value as female where they been exported overseas as maids to work before being forced into prostitution activities. It's heart breaking tho to know such this history compared to nowadays that some still doesn't know how to be grateful.

It was built by a Japanese woman who was called the goddess of the South China Sea. Hundreds of people were buried here at that time. Now the cemetery is very small.
