Founded in 1451, Glasgow University is one of the ten oldest universities in the world and the fourth oldest university in the English-speaking world, where six Nobel laureates and two British prime ministers have been trained. The big school gate is flat and low-key, and you can't see it here that it is one of the four famous schools in the UK. The main building of the main campus is Gilbert Building, designed by the famous medieval architect Sir George Gilbert Scott, and is the second largest Gothic revival building after the House of Representatives building in England. The finishing touch of the building is its Gothic clock tower. Under the Gothic exterior, the interior of the main building is Victorian.
