Xishan is located on the west side of Kunming City, adjacent to Dianchi Lake, about 15 kilometers from the city. It is a dense forest, fresh and elegant environment, and overlooks the vast pool. It has always been a good place for Kunming people and tourists to climb the mountain and view. The grottoes on the mountain are ancient and precious, and are a must-visit place for tourists who love humanities. There are many scenic spots in the Xishan Scenic Area, and the tomb of the ears and the Sanqing Pavilion are all more distinctive. From the entrance of the scenic spot, the road up the mountain is asphalt road. You can see Dianchi Lake from time to time. You can also encounter ancient temples such as Huating Temple and Taihua Temple. Plus the air in the mountains is fresh and comfortable. It takes about 2 hours to walk from the entrance to the mountaintop Longmen. It is recommended to take the scenic environmental protection bus directly to the Longmen Gate, after playing the Longmen, and then walk down the mountain slowly, which is more relaxed. Longmen refers to a stone carving project between the Sanqing Pavilion of Xishan to the top of the mountain and the Tiange. Thousands of steps along the way and reliefs, stone carvings and caves everywhere along the way are carved by Qing Dynasty craftsmen using the most primitive tools, and the entire project has been completed in 72 years, which is spectacular. Datian Pavilion is the commanding height of Longmen. There is a special observation deck. Standing on the platform, you can overlook the vast 500-mile Dianchi Lake. After passing the observation deck, you can reach Lingxu Pavilion. Lingxu Pavilion is higher than Datian Pavilion and has a wider view. But the road is very open and flat. After the tour, you can take the Longmen Cableway (25 yuan one way) back to Taihua Villa halfway up the mountain. Walk slowly down the mountain road next to Taihua Villa, and you will come to the tomb of Nie'er not far away. There are Han white jade statues and an exhibition hall with headphones in the hall, where you can enjoy the music of the temple and rest for a while. Continue to Taihua Temple and Huating Temple. The two temples were built in the Yuan Dynasty and Tang Dynasty, and the main buildings such as the Bell and Drum Tower, the Temple of Heavenly Kings, and the Grand Xiongbao Palace all rose with the mountain, appearing tall and majestic. Connected with the "Taihua Ancient Road" between the two temples, the stone steps of the mountain road are spacious and flat. During the walk, it feels quiet and long, and it can also avoid the flow of people up and down the mountain. Continue to go down, pass the magnolia garden and Shengxu Pavilion in turn, you can return to the gate of the scenic spot.
