At the entrance of Huayang Mountain Scenic Area, on the Jiulong Lake Dam, there is a magnificent wooden arch bridge across both sides of the Straits, which is the iconic landscape of Huayang Mountain - the Kowloon Covered Bridge, which is named after the towering over the Kowloon Lake. The bridge was designed by the ancient Chinese bridge Taidou Tang Cheng, and was built by the folk artist Zheng Duojin, known as the "Covered Bridge Orphan General", for a year. Wooden arch bridge, also known as the wind and rain bridge, it with beam wood interspersed to form an arch bridge, forming a rainbow, so also known as Hongqiao, is the most technical and technical content of traditional wooden bridges in China. The Kowloon Covered Bridge is built according to the technology of Lishui Hongqiao in the Northern Song Dynasty "Qingming Shanghe Map". The bridge is connected by wooden structure and no iron nails. The bridge bracket is tightly connected, and the loop is interlocked. The bridge is a combination of bridge dams, with a total length of 99 meters, of which the bridge spans 19 meters long and the dams on both sides are 40 meters long. 23 corridor houses, symmetrical layout; wide 4.6 meters, four pillars and nine feet. Three open rooms on both ends of the corridor are built to the top of the mountain, and the roof is made of orange and red glazed tiles. The bridge is surrounded by beautiful people on both sides, and the bridge is paved with regular granite. The covered bridge is designed with the elements of "dragon" embedded in the mountaintop, there are dragons and play beads, and at the bottom of the bridge, there are stone dragons and water, which fully reflects the emptiness of dragons. The construction of the covered bridge is a huge project. When building the bridge, it not only pays attention to science, but also takes into account the wind direction, wind force, mountain flood and other factors in Huayang Mountain. It also pays great attention to folk customs. From foundation laying, starting work, building horses, Zhangyu, and upper beams, all carefully selected 17 auspicious days, especially on the beams. There is also a solemn ceremony. The bridge gathers the rare skills of bridge experts and "bridge orphans". Now Tang Yucheng and Zheng Duojin are old people, and the Kowloon bridge will become their "mountain closure", with a more extraordinary meaning and value.
