The water temperature of Lake Ness is very low, and it is not suitable for swimming. The lake is full of peat, which makes the visibility only a few feet, and the water depth is very deep. In the 1960s, Xianxin had a depth of 754 feet. The lake is the third largest freshwater lake in Britain.
