The Museum of Archaeology of Nice-Himmier witnessed the long and long history of Nice. Built on a Roman-era urban site, the city dates back to 14 AD, during the reign of Rome's first emperor Octavian. Outside the main building, open-air venues include medieval Roman public baths, amphitheatres and ancient streets that bring visitors back to the time and air of the empire 2,000 years ago. The museum houses ancient Roman pottery, glassware, gold and silver coins, daily life utensils and production tools. Open from April to September Wednesday to Monday 10:00-12:00, 14:00-18:00. October to March Wednesday to Monday 10:00-13:00, 14:00-17:00. Tickets: 4 euros for adults,2.5 euros for students. Get off at Arènes Station on the 15th, 17th, 20th, 22nd and 25th.
