Old Market Square (Alter Markt) Review

A small Austrian city ～ Salzburg, Old Town is not big, but all the buildings on the street floor are full of antique taste, and there are many seafood shops, rich in taste.

The German for the Old Austrian Square is alter markt, located on the north side of the Bishop's Palace in Salzburg, next to the Bishop's Square. The famous Tomaseli Cafe is located in the corner of the square. It is said that this cafe is the oldest in Austria. There is also a fountain statue in the small square.

Salzburg is surprisingly beautiful. This is one of Austria’s gems and we couldn’t be happier to include it on our Europe DIY tour last June. The old city tour with the horse carriage was a highlight. The coffee was amazing. Mostly, the people were so helpful and kind. I highly recommend to anyone who’s looking for a restful tour with family or friends.
