When I see a religious place, the first thing I think of is a smoky place. There are many believers here, one is competing to light candles to worship. This religiously mixed country, people wearing ethnic characteristics kneel and pray.

A large church in the city, many locals came here, the scene of lighting candles was very hot, all ignited, but they were all orderly. The church is not decorated much and feels relatively new and modern.

Free entry, no photos are allowed inside, please enter from the left door. The canteen behind the left has icons, crosses, Bibles, etc., and the price is reasonable. It is recommended to keep quiet and not visit during the ceremony. The reliefs outside the door must be visited. This place is very close to the Indian Temple and is within walking distance. You can't park at the door, so pay attention to chartered cars.

After Easter Sunday, the historic church in downtown Colombo is now open for worship. People of different faiths come to the deep and ancient Catholic church for peace and comfort. The nearly 200-year-old shrine, written as the "Miracle Church," attracts a large number of devout believers, especially on Tuesday. The archdiocese's archives show that the original muddy church was built in 1806 by Antonio, a respected priest in Cochin (located in Kerala, India), and that the church is now being consecrated in 1834. The original statue of St. Anthony is from Goa, India and is still worshipped in the church. From the outside, this beautiful church looks like a Dutch/Portuguese colonial building, but inside it is a subcontinental architectural style. This is not a normal church, it should be listed on the “must visit” list in Colombo.

The Catholic Church is always so beautiful, and the Buddhist temples are indifferent in comparison. Small and quiet. In such an environment, you can calm down, and Christians around the world like to sing hymns here.
