It is one of the oldest and most beautiful churches in Viltzburg. Founded in 1040 and completed in the 12th century, the church is 105 meters high and is the fourth largest Roman Church in Germany. During the long years, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque impressions were added. The church was completely destroyed by war in 1945 and all reconstruction was completed in May 1967. Today, its two towering red and white brick towers are one of the most iconic landscapes in the old city.
