Carving Room Review

What a fun place! The meats are excellent - the pastrami, the chorizo, the corned beef - all fantastic. Great spices, lots of choices, the cigars (spring rolls) are really tasty and have excellent sauces/dips. The pickles and onions are fabulous - so spicy! The brunch menu is really great, so I'm sure the lunch and dinner menus are good, too. It's noisy in there, but it's a fun little place and the food is outstanding.

Heck yeah this was a great place - homemade pastrami and amazing potato salad with a zing of mustard and horseradish, so delicious! The burger was great and the craft beer selection and craft cocktails make this place everything you could ask for. Great time. One Note: A "Rachel" is a "Reuben" with pastrami instead of corned beef. You cannot rename very popular foods to meet your needs (They sell a "Rachel" as a "Reuben" with Turkey instead of corned beef. I had a hell of a time getting a pastrami reuben).

Was in D.C. For business and wanted to visit another Diners Drive ins and Dives venue. I ordered the Cigars which were amazing as were the dipping sauces. I wanted the pastrami sandwich, but was told they were out!!! I was heart broken, but I did try the Carving Room burger which was excellent and had a side of fries to go along. They also have great beers on tap here as well. If you're like me and want to try some of the places you see featured on tv, this is a must go to place. Highly recommend it and only hope the next time I go here I get a chance to try their pastrami.
