Weizhou Island, the ancient name of the island, is an island formed by a submarine volcanic eruption about 200,000 to 500,000 years ago. It is located in the southeast direction of Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, north of the east island, west of Leizhou Bay, southeast of the South China Sea, and deep into the Pacific Ocean. . Weizhou Island is one of the “Eight Scenes of Zhanjiang”, and Meilu: “Guizhou Ancient Rhyme”. There are many places of interest in the island, including: Songhuangcheng Ruins, Xianglong Academy, Bajiaojing, Songhuangbei, Songhuangting, Songhuangcun, Chima Village, Dou Zhenyu Tomb and “Gongbaofang”. The Bohai Sea Beach, a tourist resort in the South, is also located here, with an ideal natural bathing beach.

Address:Naozhou Island,Mazhang District,Zhanjiang City

Business hours:Open year-round, 24/7

Attraction reviews:

There is nothing amazing about this undeveloped fishing village island. It is just ordinary. Find a beach homestay to relax and stay for two days. Children can play on the beach for a day. The beach is shallow and swimming is safe. The island is accessible only by electric bicycles.

Huguangyanfeng is located about 19 kilometers southwest of Zhanjiang City. It is an extremely rare maar lake and one of the three volcanic lakes in China. Huguangyan is surrounded by volcanoes, the lake is very clear, and the lake is surrounded by steep cliffs, where the stratification of volcanic rocks is clearly visible. There are many old-growth trees in the scenic area, the vegetation is dense, and the air is very fresh. If you like history, you can also visit the ancient temples and rock carvings here.

Address:Huguang Town, Mazhang District, Zhanjiang City

Business hours:Open today at 7:30 AM–6:00 PM

Attraction reviews:

I used to have an annual pass when I was in college and visited often. After I started working, everyone said the tickets were expensive and there wasn't much to see. But you wouldn't believe it, Huguangyan is a place I often dream about in the middle of the night; it's a beautiful place in my heart. It's worth taking a walk around it on a clear afternoon (it takes about 2 hours to walk around), and at the end, you can enjoy a visual feast of the sunset.

Zhanjiang Black-headed Gull Cruise is located at Techeng Yudao Pier in Xiashan District. It is a luxury cruise ship built by Zhanjiang Shipping Group that integrates sightseeing, catering and entertainment. You can watch the cargo wharf, the military harbor, the South Oil Base at close range, and enjoy the scenery on both banks of Zhanjiang Port.

Business hours:Open today at 10:00 AM–3:00 PM

Attraction reviews:

Zhanjiang, a hidden gem of a coastal city at the southernmost tip of mainland China. The Sheraton Hotel I stayed at is right across from the Jinsha Bay Seaview Promenade. A stroll along the promenade, enjoying the sea breeze and swaying coconut palms, is incredibly relaxing. Buying boat tickets on Ctrip is a great deal! A ten-minute walk from the hotel, you can take a red-billed gull cruise to admire the magnificent military port stretching for miles. Solemn and mysterious, with one imposing warship after another before your eyes, your heart is filled with excitement [heart emoji]. A surge of pride and security wells up within you. 🇨🇳

Led by the Office of the Military-Civilian Integration Development Committee of the CPC Zhanjiang Municipal Committee, in conjunction with the Potou District Government, Municipal Education Bureau, Municipal Public Security Bureau, Municipal Veterans Affairs Bureau, and Brigade Control Group, the equipment acceptance and placement work is implemented, making full use of retired military equipment, and deeply exploring the red connotation of Zhanjiang. It is committed to building a national defense education venue base with the theme of promoting national defense education, with modern military activity experience as the highlight, and integrating viewing, participation, fun and knowledge.

Address:广东省湛江市坡头区东城西路与龙王湾路交叉路口往东约220米

Business hours:Open today at 8:30 AM–5:30 PM (Tickets available until 5:00 PM)

Attraction reviews:

You can see tanks, bombers, and Q-8 fighter jets. You can go up to the bombers and transport planes and experience the pilot's position. The bomber cabin is quite narrow, and because there are no trees on either side, it's very sunny, but it's still worth a visit to learn about China's strength.

The open-air hot spring area of Zhangshuwan Hotel & Resort has adult swimming pools, children swimming pools, hot spring pools of different sizes, steaming rooms, hot stone slab areas, full garden open-air swimming pools, natural hot springs and other special hot springs. Beautiful tropical plants, emerald stone and cobblestone embellishment, each customer can fully experience the Southeast Asian style holiday life. In the early years, Leizhou was used as a stone tank for washing sweet potatoes. It was carved from Leizhou volcanic stone with a weight of several tens of tons of stone. It is a well-deserved "eighteen gold cylinder" in the hot spring area.

Address:Zhangshuwan Hot Spring, No. 8 Wenhua Road, Leicheng District, Leizhou City

Business hours:Open today at 2:00 PM–12:00 AM

Attraction reviews:

Good, the hot springs cover a large area, the water temperatures of various hot spring pools are different, and the swimming pool water is crystal clear! Perfect hot spring trip!

The temple is built on the mountain, facing the plain, its majestic. The temple is divided into three entrances, consisting of the mountain gate, the main hall, the side hall, the apse, the east and west buildings, the bell and drum tower, and the stele gallery, all of which are arranged along the central axis. The front screens on the east and west sides of the hall are intricately carved and very delicate. The apse covers an area of more than 10,000 square meters and is one of the larger ancestral halls in the Lingnan area. Leizu Temple has a long history, and there are countless words in singing. Leizu Temple is located in Yingbang Mountain, five miles southwest of Leizhou City. The ancestral hall was built in the sixteenth year of Tang Zhenguan (AD 642) to commemorate Chen Wenyu (Lei Zu), the first governor of Leizhou in the Tang Dynasty.

Address:Leizhou, Zhanjiang, Guangdong, China

Business hours:Today Opening hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Attraction reviews:

There are many different opinions about the origin of the word "Leizhou". However, it was first used as the place name during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty when Chen Wenyu, a Leizhou native, served as the governor of the local area (before the name was changed to Haikang County). Chen Wenyu, who was a wise official, sympathetic to the people, and admired by people of all ethnic groups in the area, was therefore revered as "Leizu" by later generations. The Leizu Temple built to commemorate this good official - and the "Leizhou Drum Change" that was often played here and was called the first of the "Four Wonders in the World" by Feng Menglong in the Ming Dynasty - have also become the most representative cultural symbols of "Leizhou Culture" and are a must-see when visiting Leizhou. The Antarctic Village in mainland China is located in the southwest of Xuwen County, Guangdong Province, surrounded by Qiongzhou Strait and Beibu Gulf.

Address:Jiaowei Township, Xuwen County, Zhanjiang City

Business hours:Open year-round, 24/7

Attraction reviews:

Nanji Village, located in Xuwen, Guangdong, is the southernmost point of mainland China, directly opposite Hainan Island. The attractions are free, and accommodation is convenient. Guesthouses offer free electric scooters, and the southernmost lighthouse is just 4 kilometers away. This area also marks the confluence of the Qiongzhou Strait and the Beibu Gulf, creating a "cross tide" or "kissing tide" at high tide. ☺ It was also featured on CCTV's "Home Amidst Mountains and Rivers" program, and Sa Beining visited here. I specifically checked which guesthouse he stayed at 🤣, just to catch a glimpse of his celebrity!
