| Zhanjiang, a hidden gem of a coastal city at the southernmost tip of mainland China. The Sheraton Hotel I stayed at is right across from the Jinsha Bay Seaview Promenade. A stroll along the promenade, enjoying the sea breeze and swaying coconut palms, is incredibly relaxing. Buying boat tickets on Ctrip is a great deal! A ten-minute walk from the hotel, you can take a red-billed gull cruise to admire the magnificent military port stretching for miles. The former name of the Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street in Chikan district, Zhanjiang was French Road. | Chikan Old Street, located in Chikan District, Zhanjiang City, is a small street that retains some Republican-era buildings. However, its preservation is incomplete; some old buildings are gone, and others are dilapidated. I strolled along, stopping frequently to look around. One place I visited had really delicious beef offal wontons. There was also a Chikan District Museum, which was free to visit, and its exhibits were quite interesting; I spent quite a while looking at them. |
Huguangyanfeng is located about 19 kilometers southwest of Zhanjiang City. It is an extremely rare maar lake and one of the three volcanic lakes in China. Huguangyan is surrounded by volcanoes, the lake is very clear, and the lake is surrounded by steep cliffs, where the stratification of volcanic rocks is clearly visible. There are many old-growth trees in the scenic area, the vegetation is dense, and the air is very fresh. If you like history, you can also visit the ancient temples and rock carvings here.

| I used to have an annual pass when I was in college and visited often. After I started working, everyone said the tickets were expensive and there wasn't much to see. But you wouldn't believe it, Huguangyan is a place I often dream about in the middle of the night; it's a beautiful place in my heart. It's worth taking a walk around it on a clear afternoon (it takes about 2 hours to walk around), and at the end, you can enjoy a visual feast of the sunset. |
Weizhou Island, the ancient name of the island, is an island formed by a submarine volcanic eruption about 200,000 to 500,000 years ago. It is located in the southeast direction of Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, north of the east island, west of Leizhou Bay, southeast of the South China Sea, and deep into the Pacific Ocean. . | There is nothing amazing about this undeveloped fishing village island. It is just ordinary. Find a beach homestay to relax and stay for two days. Children can play on the beach for a day. The beach is shallow and swimming is safe. The island is accessible only by electric bicycles. |
The French Style Street is located on Binhai West 1st Road. It is built around five French historical buildings, namely, Xiying Post and Telecommunications Building, the former site of the French Legation in Guangzhou Bay, the former site of the French Police Station in Guangzhou Bay, Vidor Catholic Church (also known as Xiashan Catholic Church), and the former site of the Banque de l'Indochine. | |French Style Street^A main road on one side of the Seaside Park, with four lanes in both directions and coconut trees planted on both sides, very tropical. This is the original French Concession, so historical buildings such as |Wan French Office Xinxu Public Office Site^are preserved here, with a good French cultural heritage. Xiashan’s Sea Viewing Promenade is about 1.7 kilometers long and is divided into three regions, including south, center and north. The south section is relatively narrow and long, opening up from Zijing Square with thousands of flowers and trees.
