Waldorf Astoria Osaka

Stepping into this hotel felt like going back in time to The Great Gatsby. It's probably the most luxurious hotel I've stayed at in Osaka. They really made good use of the public spaces, and the Peacock Alley is simply stunning – I could admire it all day. The front desk staff spoke fluent English, which made communication quite easy. Contrary to what I read online, the standard room was perfectly fine. I was given a high floor, and the room was spacious, well-divided, with plenty of space for luggage. The twin room had two queen-sized beds (1.5 meters each), making it very family-friendly. The downsides were the low water pressure in the bathroom and the water not getting hot enough. They provided Aesop amenities, and the ginger scent was lovely. The breakfast was a bit disappointing. It was semi-buffet style with limited variety, and the main courses were quite uninspired, not really matching the room rate. I do recommend the French toast among the main dishes, it was excellent. The biggest issue was the long queues, which really detracted from the experience. The hotel's location is quite good. Directly downstairs is Green Place with a wide variety of dining options, and Ushigoro is on the third floor. You can walk to department stores like Hanshin, but taking a taxi is more convenient for Hankyu.

The front desk service was excellent. I'd read some reviews saying the staff were cold, but I didn't experience that at all. The gentleman who checked me in was very patient and even upgraded my room. He also helped me with my luggage to the elevator. The new hotel was comfortable to stay in, and it's super convenient for shopping downstairs. The day before check-out, I arranged a taxi for the next morning, and the lady at the front desk even helped carry my luggage down to the taxi. Overall, it was a great stay!

This hotel is super convenient with two subway lines nearby, one of which is literally a one-minute walk from the exit. Getting to Shinsaibashi, Umeda, or Namba is a breeze. There's also a convenience store just a two-minute walk downstairs. They provide bathrobes and even have a large public bath for soaking. The only minor downside is that they don't provide small samples of makeup remover or skincare products, so you'll need to bring your own. Overall, I'm very satisfied!

Excellent stay! The room was spacious and the view absolutely stunning. They provided great amenities, even makeup remover oil and face masks. The location is unbeatable, right in the absolute center. Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi are just a short walk away. The subway station is right downstairs, making it super easy to get to Umeda and Namba in under ten minutes. Breakfast was decent; not a huge selection but affordable. Plus, there's a Chinese-speaking front desk, so communication was a breeze. Overall, I highly recommend this place in Osaka!

Cons: The room was a bit small. Pros: They have hot springs, and they're quite good. The breakfast was also decent; I just wish the hours were a little longer. The transportation is fairly convenient, with the subway station a few hundred meters away. There's a convenience store downstairs, which is great for picking up essentials.

The front desk had a staff member who spoke Chinese, which made check-in super easy. The room was spacious and well-laid out, and it's really close to the subway station! Plus, it's right next to some very upscale residential buildings in Osaka.

When I booked this hotel, it clearly stated that children stay for free. However, upon arrival, the hotel informed us that children over 7 years old would be charged. Specifically, our 7-year-old was charged the full adult rate, which amounted to 43,300 JPY for 3 nights. Despite this additional charge, there was no room upgrade to accommodate the extra cost. Attempts to resolve this with the hotel were fruitless (it was extremely difficult to communicate with the Japanese staff; they couldn't understand English, refused to acknowledge the issue, and were unwilling to take responsibility). The negotiation lasted an hour, during which my 11-month-old child was crying, and there was no offer of comfort or a solution. Due to this experience, and not because of the location, I will not be staying at this hotel again.

Hotel Hanshin Osaka

I recently stayed at Hotel Hanshin Osaka during my trip to Osaka, and overall it was a very satisfying experience, especially for a first-time solo traveler visiting the city. One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is definitely its excellent location. The hotel is conveniently connected to transportation, making it extremely easy to travel to many of Osaka’s famous attractions and shopping areas. Whether I wanted to visit Dotonbori, Umeda, Osaka Castle, or even take day trips to nearby cities, getting around was smooth and stress-free. For someone traveling alone and unfamiliar with Osaka, staying here made the entire trip feel much more comfortable and convenient. Another thing that impressed me was the service provided by the hotel staff. The front desk employees were always polite, professional, and welcoming. They greeted guests with genuine smiles and were very helpful whenever I had questions. Even though there was sometimes a language barrier, they still tried their best to assist me, which made me feel appreciated as a guest. Good hospitality can really affect the overall travel experience, and this hotel certainly delivered in that aspect. The room itself was clean and well-maintained. Although the room size was slightly small, which is quite common in Japan, the facilities inside were surprisingly complete and thoughtfully arranged. Everything I needed was provided, and the layout was efficient enough that I still felt comfortable during my stay. The in-room hot spring bath was also a very enjoyable feature. After spending long hours walking around Osaka every day, being able to relax in the warm bath at night was incredibly refreshing and helped me recover from fatigue. If I had to mention one downside, it would only be the limited room space. However, considering the location, service quality, cleanliness, and facilities, I still think this hotel offers great value overall. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Osaka for the first time, especially solo travelers who want a convenient, comfortable, and reliable place to stay.

Right next to the busiest tourist area in Osaka and with access to large number of facilities., Spaworld is surely a top choice to stay. But actually, the day ticket only costs 1500 yen and overnight staying fee is 1300 yen, which means you don't really need to stay in the hotel to use everything and stay for a night, kind of like a SPA net cafe. The plus for using the hotel is that you allow yourself to enter anytime you want.

We decided to stop again at this hotel, and it was really good! The hollywood room type was enough spaced and with a fantastic view☺️ The hotel had everything you could need: near reception, you could help yourself to tea or coffee to suit your taste, as well as face masks, body oils and creams. The room was equipped with bottles of water, a kettle, and toiletries for washing your hair and body. To use the ladies’ bath, you need to collect a card from reception beforehand. The onsen also had everything you could need: face wash, make-up remover and various types of shampoo. I’ll definitely stay at this hotel again if I’m in this city. Thank you to the staff for their professional approach to their work and for looking after the guests.
