Nestled in the very heart of prosperity, with the West Lake Cultural Square, Hangzhou Tower, and the thousand - year - old Grand Canal surrounding it, Xilizhi Art Hotel hides above the 19th floor of the city's neon lights, in the deepest part of the urban bustle, enjoying a peaceful haven.
Located at the core of Jianguo Road and Zhaohui Road, and at the cultural heart of the Beijing - Hangzhou Grand Canal and the ancient Genshan Gate, "Xilizhi" overlooks the bustling lights of the city, leisurely enjoys the precipitation of historical vicissitudes, and allows one to feel the most authentic Hangzhou flavor.

The hygiene is good. It was cleaned very well, and there were no strange smells. The only issue is that the room was a bit hot, and opening the window made it noisy. Can't have it all, I guess. I encountered a weird situation where the room next door was playing movies loudly past midnight, keeping me from sleeping, and then started playing music again at 7:10 AM! speechless! In such a quiet environment, the soundproofing felt a bit lacking 😑.
As for transportation, the hotel is a ten-minute walk from the subway station, and there's parking available right outside the hotel on a first-come, first-served basis.

Members can borrow them for free and return them at other locations. In the interplay of light and shadow, it creates a quiet and warm corner for rest. It also adds Atour's highly praised "Sitting on the Clouds" rest space. "Sitting on the Clouds" takes its name from allowing you to take a short break during your journey, feeling as relaxed and comfortable as "sitting and watching the clouds rise". The space ingeniously combines Eastern aesthetics with modern comfort. You can enjoy a cup of tea here, meet a few friends, or immerse yourself in thought and relaxation alone. Hidden gem Atour by the Grand Canal! My experience far exceeded expectations 💯
I really have to give this Atour hotel a perfect score! The location is absolutely fantastic, right next to Hangzhou's Grand Canal. It’s quiet yet conveniently located, and the elegant, peaceful environment makes an evening stroll along the riverside incredibly pleasant.
The hotel's cleanliness is impeccable; the room was spotless, the bedding comfortable, and the soundproofing excellent. It was incredibly quiet at night, ensuring a very restful sleep. The staff are genuinely kind, welcoming, and attentive. From check-in to daily service, they were patient and gentle, making you feel truly valued. I've stayed in many hotels, but this Atour really stands out. Everything from the environment and amenities to the service is faultless, and it offers incredible value for money. It's a must-stay when visiting Hangzhou, highly recommended!

The location is great, very close to West Lake Cultural Plaza subway station, with lines 1 and 3 making it super convenient for getting around. It's also very near West Lake Cultural Plaza itself, and there are many cultural attractions nearby such as the Provincial Museum, Cultural Center, Science and Technology Museum, and Natural Museum, creating a rich cultural atmosphere. Plus, there's an Intime Department Store nearby, so the commercial vibe is also quite good. The hotel rooms are clean and tidy, and they are cleaned daily.
The service was excellent, and check-in at the front desk was very quick. The staff were all very nice. The room offered a beautiful distant view of West Lake. It's about a 10-yuan taxi ride to the West Lake scenic area. Breakfast was very rich, with both Chinese and Western options. They even offer breakfast bags if you're in a rush, which is a thoughtful touch! The manager I met during check-out was also great. I'll definitely prioritize staying here again next time.

We chose this place because of its location, which is super convenient for families with kids. It's right across the street from the Zhejiang Science and Technology Museum and the Natural History Museum. There's even a small 24-hour museum that my child insisted on visiting after their bath before going to bed. The bus stop downstairs has route 26, which goes straight to the Children's Palace, right by West Lake. You can also cross a bridge to get to the water bus and canal/Qiantang River cruise terminals. The subway is also close by, making transportation incredibly convenient.

Room was also very big, comfy and clean. The location is good, around big shopping malls. But the car porch area was easy to miss by taxi drivers, who often drop us only outside along the main road (abit troublesome for rainy days / with luggages). There is delivery robot for food which is good too. They accepted and grouped my Taobao together which is great service. Front desk is quite friendly too. Hotel feels new, is on a high floor (L15 of mixed used building), sound proofing was good, view is good too.
There is free laundry services too!

The hotel's location is super convenient, and the staff are absolutely commendable – so warm and incredibly helpful. The only minor downsides with this Atour branch are the slightly smaller and a bit older rooms, but everything else is great. The staff even mentioned during check-in that hotels closer to West Lake tend to be a bit older and smaller, which was good to know.

GGuest UserThe hotel staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread was fantastic and very satisfying. Our room was cozy and comfortable. My only minor suggestion would be to upgrade the pillow selection, perhaps adding memory foam pillows. The hotel isn't super close to attractions, but taxis are readily available right outside the entrance, making it very convenient. Plus, there's a huge variety of takeout options from the surrounding in77 mall – you'll be spoiled for choice!
GGuest UserMy expectations were fully met, and the hotel lived up to the hype. The only minor drawback is that check-in isn't until 3:30 PM (though earlier check-in is possible if rooms are available), but this hotel is just incredibly popular.
The hotel boasts numerous rooms with an exceptionally high occupancy rate and a variety of room types. Stepping inside, there's a magical sense of calm. For the same price, you might only get a standard room in Shanghai, but here we enjoyed a lake view suite.
The service was also top-notch; my family felt right at home, praising the hospitality. It was money well spent.
Even during the holiday, the swimming pool and hot spring weren't overcrowded, which speaks to excellent management, as reservations are required. Since it's winter, swimming was a bit chilly. However, there's also a sizable, slightly warmer children's pool area, which is absolutely fantastic.
JJess ChueWe are recommended by friend to book this hotel.
The hotel is located only 3 bus stop away from Xihu (西湖)West lake, very good location not far from shopping street as well.
Cozy lobby with very friendly receptionist who even guide us to set up Alipay and how use Alipay to pay for the bus fare to West lake. Our room is very spacious, clean and comfortable. The overall stay is a happy and welcoming. We will definitely recommend our family and friends to book this hotel if they are travelling to Hangzhou.
AAnonymous UserOverall, this was a good stay with some truly special aspects, but also a few areas that could be improved.
The hotel is quite remote, which makes it feel very private and peaceful, surrounded by nature such as the lake, forest, and mountains. Even though we visited other viewpoints around Qiandao Lake, this location felt more special because of its quiet and secluded setting. The hotel itself feels like a destination, with scenic viewpoints, a garden with a lake, a cave, and even trekking trails to explore.
The garden area includes a swan lake, which is a nice idea. However, the swans are kept in a very small netted space. It does not look great visually and feels restrictive for the animals, which took away from the experience.
The room was spacious and comfortable, with a very comfortable bed that was not too soft or too hard. Sound insulation was excellent, which made for great sleep. I also requested a firmer pillow, and it was provided quickly. The lake view room upgrade was a highlight. The view was stunning and made it hard to leave the room. If you stay here, I would strongly recommend booking a lake view room. The layout was nice, with both a balcony and a window view. The thick frame dividing the view slightly affected the overall feel, but it was not a major issue. The bathtub was also a nice addition.
Cleaning was good overall. The AC did not work very well during the hot midday hours, although it was fine at other times of the day.
Facilities such as the gym, yoga room, pool, and game room were nice additions. However, they felt quite standard for a five-star hotel, and I have experienced better quality in similar properties. One great feature was the free Tesla charging, but this was not communicated at all. We only discovered it by chance, which is a missed opportunity as it is a strong benefit.
Breakfast was acceptable but not at the expected level. The coffee and bakery were the weakest parts. Ordering is done via QR code instead of in person, which felt a bit impersonal for a luxury hotel atmosphere. Service during breakfast also felt a bit off, as staff seemed focused on their tasks and were not very proactive in guiding or prioritizing guests, which made the experience feel less warm and not the kindest.
Service was generally kind and friendly, but inconsistent at times. Some staff could benefit from additional training, as not everyone followed typical five-star service standards such as greeting guests or offering priority.
Another disappointment was the welcome fruit, which was included in our package but not provided on arrival. After we asked, a staff member came carrying items for multiple rooms in a bag and handed us just one apple and one peach. This felt unprofessional although something very small.
Another point worth noting is that the hotel was originally booked as an InterContinental, but about 1-2 weeks before arrival it was no longer part of the brand (somehow on Trip.com it still says intercontinental). Not sure if this impacted the experience, but overall it did feel slightly below what you might expect from that level, even though the stay itself was still enjoyable.
The hotel also offers free Tesla charging, which is a great feature. However, this was not communicated at all during or before our stay, and we only discovered it by chance. This feels like a missed opportunity, as it is a strong benefit that could add significant value for guests
I did not try lunch or dinner, so I cannot comment on those.
Overall, this is a very peaceful and unique stay with amazing natural surroundings and a beautiful lake view. However, some service and operational details need improvement to truly match a luxury standard.
GGuest UserIt was 32 degrees Celsius, and as soon as I entered the room, the AC was blasting, and a faint, pleasant scent instantly made me feel at ease. The room size was perfect for one person. The balcony offered an unobstructed view of Qiandao Lake, which was fantastic. The room also had a screen door and a sofa. If it was too hot on the balcony, I could just sit on the sofa and enjoy the lake view – very thoughtful design! The body lotion smelled lovely. The only minor issue was that the duvet felt a bit damp, but that's common for rooms by the lake in this kind of weather. Still, it was clean; my skin is very sensitive, and unclean bedding usually makes me itchy, but I had no issues here. Breakfast was extensive, and eating while looking at the lake was wonderful. I'd definitely come back given the chance! The service was also excellent.
GGuest UserThe environment here is fantastic! The lobby has books, a guzheng (Chinese zither), and calligraphy brushes, plus two adorable parrots 🦜.
I'm very satisfied with this hotel; the rooms are spotless, and the front desk staff are wonderful.
It's also very convenient for getting around. To go to West Lake, you just need to take the subway to Xiuxi Road Station.
I really love it and will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Hangzhou.
MmysamThe hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! It's within walking distance of the West Lake In77 area, making it super easy to explore shops, scenic spots, and delicious food – there's so much to see and do, you won't even be able to cover it all! We arrived at 11 AM, just hoping to drop off our luggage, but to our surprise, we were able to check in immediately, and even got a room upgrade. The panoramic West Lake terrace on the tenth floor was an unexpected delight! The breakfast spread was ample and tasty too. As for downsides, there weren't quite enough power outlets, so I'd recommend bringing an extension cord, haha. Also, the sink drains a bit slowly! But honestly, these are minor issues; we'll definitely choose Xinqiao again on our next visit!
SShouzhongdedaoI come to Hangzhou every year. This time I chose to stay on Longjing Tea Mountain. After comparing several hotels on Ctrip, I feel that Hangzhou Radisson Longjing Manor is more suitable. The hotel is on the tea mountain of Longjing Village. There are tea gardens everywhere. Farmers can pick tea and make tea everywhere on the roadside. The environment is very good. The service of the hotel is very thoughtful. Xiao Chen at the front desk is proficient in business and can meet the requirements of customers as much as possible. We want a room with a better location, so he took us upstairs to choose a room and upgraded the room type for us for free; we stayed in the room and didn’t want to go out, and they gave us a lot of extra bottled water for us to make tea. The rooms in the hotel are very spacious, and each room can see the beautiful scenery outside the window. The linens are clean and comfortable, and all kinds of facilities are complete. The Longjing tea delivered in the room is very fresh and fragrant. Especially for breakfast, although there are not many dishes, the tastes of the several favorite ones are good. The chef’s fried eggs are in place, and the noodles are better than those in restaurants outside. I couldn’t help but eat three servings. I checked out late, and when I checked out, I met the front desk lady Chen again. She brought us water and sent us to the car. I accidentally broke a glass, but she waived our compensation, which made me feel warm! Compared with other hotels in the same area, it may not be the best in the grade, and some hardware is also aging, but considering the environment, service, price and other aspects, if I come to Hangzhou Chashan to live again, I will choose Radisson Longjing Manor.
Jjacqueline0801The hotel rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms are quite large. Each room has a balcony, and the rooftop garden offers views of West Lake, Baoshi Mountain, and the Baochu Pagoda. The breakfast is abundant and delicious. The location is excellent, very close to Bai Causeway, and the Wulin Night Market is right next door. The subway station is also nearby, making it convenient for getting around. Overall, it offers great value for money.
AAnonymous UserThe room was perfect for a solo traveler; it had everything I needed, despite its small size. It was clean and hygienic, and there were no strange odors in my room, which made me feel the fresh air system was excellent and the air quality comfortable. A pleasant stay made my trip very enjoyable.
