Generally comfortable.. But walls are rather thin, room is dated and small. Room's WiFi was ok, but I could not access my mobile data network well in my room.

The staff are great and very helpful, and the amenities provided are excellent.
The location is ideal, with convenience stores (konbini) just a short walk away, making everything easy and accessible.
Overall, a very pleasant stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The front desk service was unwelcoming, and guests were kept waiting for too long. Despite checking in on time, the room wasn't ready, and the cleaning was incomplete. The beds and pillows on the lower floor were entirely different from those on the higher floor. My previous visit, just two weeks ago, where I stayed on a higher floor, had excellent front desk service. This time, the impression was very poor. I even considered extending my stay, but was told I had to request it at the front desk and couldn't arrange it directly for the room. So, I ended up booking a hotel near Hakata Station instead. Overall, the service, starting from the front desk, was very uncomfortable. Even for a subsequent extension of stay, the service was still subpar, leaving me feeling unpleasant. This is not the quality I'd expect from Hilton.

The room was quite spacious, as it's a hotel-style apartment, which is a bit different from a regular hotel. There was a Chinese-speaking assistant at the front desk, so communication was no problem. I didn't see any non-smoking rooms when I booked, so I'm not sure if they were fully booked, but for a non-smoker, a smoking room really reeks, and they don't seem to do any smoke treatment. The decor is a bit old-fashioned, with no smart features, but it was an experience to see that 'old money' style. The parking lot next door is quite expensive, around 1500-1600 yen a day, but you can enter and exit freely. You might find cheaper parking a bit further away. It's very close to the Fukuoka Urban Expressway, right after you exit. Nishijin Station is about a ten-minute walk, and there are plenty of dining and shopping options around there.

The attitude of the Indian guy at the front desk needs to be improved. Everything else is OK. The transportation is convenient. The free water bar is very warm and cost-effective. It is worth staying. I will stay again if I have the opportunity.

I've been staying at this hotel for over a decade, which is hard to believe! When I first came to Japan over ten years ago, this was the cheapest option, costing around 200 yen. It's still pretty much the same price now.
I particularly like their Japanese-style rooms because you can roll around on the futon without falling off. 😂😂😂
The building is quite old, and the decor is a bit dated, but it's always well-maintained and clean. I love the huge, old-fashioned AC unit mounted on the wall; it's almost silent but surprisingly effective at both cooling and heating.
The bathroom is tiny, sometimes it's even a bit difficult to squat down on the toilet. However, the amenities provided are quite good, like the full POLA product line.
The location is also very convenient. If you like strolling through Ohori Park, it's just a short walk away. Tsurumai Park, a great spot for cherry blossom viewing, is also very close.
As for breakfast, it used to be a selection of homemade traditional Japanese dishes. Now, it's been simplified to just a bread and a cup of coffee, so I don't bother with it anymore. Given that the price hasn't changed in years while living costs have steadily increased, I can understand that they're likely cutting costs.

Overall, it was a great stay for a solo traveler. The bed was spacious and the location was good, with a convenience store and subway right in front. However, when I first filled the bathtub with water after arriving, a blackish substance like grime floated in the tub... I was shocked. I cleaned it again with the brush provided in the room. The staff were friendly, but the facilities were lacking. First of all, I was surprised that there was no comb or toothbrush set in the room. If you plan to stay, be sure to bring your own.

The room was generally clean and tidy, with a normal size for this type of hotel and a practical layout. The bedding was comfortable, leading to good sleep quality, and the soundproofing was decent, so I wasn't disturbed much at night. All the in-room facilities, including the air conditioning, hot water, water pressure, and Wi-Fi, worked perfectly fine for daily use. The bathroom was very clean, and the wet/dry separation design was convenient.
The only minor drawback was that some of the facilities seemed a bit dated (or: the room lighting was a bit dim / there weren't enough power outlets, depending on the actual situation), but this didn't significantly impact the overall stay. Overall, it offers good value for money and is suitable for short stays or business trips.

This hotel, located in the Hakata Station area, offers a shuttle bus service that takes about half an hour to reach the property. However, it's important to note that on weekdays, there are only a few scheduled trips to the hotel. On holidays, the free round-trip shuttle runs all day, approximately once an hour. During my stay, which was on a weekday, only the 10 AM and 11 AM shuttle buses were available for departure; there were no other times, so calling a taxi was more convenient.
The hotel offers both Japanese and Western dining options, a simple gym, and a nice public onsen. Since the hotel is situated on a mountain, it's not overly crowded, making for a more comfortable stay.
My room this time had a good view, and the lobby has been renovated. However, the room only had a shower stall and no bathtub, which guests should be aware of.

Great
GGuest UserAfter two unbearable nights in a tiny 14-square-meter hotel, I made a last-minute switch to One Fukuoka. I heard it was the top hotel in Fukuoka, so I wanted to give it a try.
The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of the Tenjin shopping district. You can step out and immediately start shopping, with Daimaru, PARCO, and Mitsukoshi all within walking distance.
As soon as you enter the ONE FUKUOKA BLDG, you're greeted by a subtle, very soothing botanical scent. The hotel is next to an office building, so you need to look for it a bit, then take the elevator up to the 19th floor for check-in.
The room is incredibly spacious. Fitting several suitcases isn't an issue, and there's even a dedicated luggage stand inside for organizing your belongings. It has a living room and a terrace directly facing The Ritz-Carlton. With double sinks and a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, what more could you ask for in terms of space in Japan?
The hotel is very new, and both the bed and pillows have just the right firmness. The air in the room is fresh; after one night, I didn't get my usual rhinitis, and I even achieved an unprecedented deep sleep of over an hour. Besides the usual amenities, they also provide cotton pads, hair ties, mouthwash, socks, and bath towels. The mini-bar selection is also very rich and completely free – I drank to my heart's content.
The only minor flaw I found was a small ring-shaped nail on the carpet, which looked like it might have fallen off a keychain or something similar. It made me feel like the room hadn't been thoroughly cleaned, but overall, the cleanliness was acceptable and not dirty.
There's a library bar and lounge on the guest room floor, offering unlimited complimentary drinks and desserts (they even have ice cream!). I regretted only staying for one night.
The hotel's overall style reminds me a lot of The Sukhothai Shanghai – therapeutic, serene, and natural, but with a slightly more homely feel than Sukhothai. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Fukuoka!
SScottOverall, my stay was excellent. The hotel itself is relatively new, with a fresh and clean environment. Although the room wasn't huge, it was well-designed and kept impeccably clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist promptly with any issues – their service was truly on point.
What I loved most was the location. It's incredibly convenient for getting around, with plenty of dining options nearby, making it easy to eat and shop. Canal City Hakata is also very close, within walking distance, which is fantastic whether you're exploring or just need to get somewhere. It made everything hassle-free.
Considering everything, it offers great value for money – clean, convenient, and with excellent service. It's a fantastic choice for accommodation when traveling, and I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.
TTracey_TOverall - Exceptional value and surprising perks.
🏨 Stunning Room Highlights
1. The Ultimate Savior – In-Room Massage Chair: This is an absolute ”game-changer”! After a full day of exploring Fukuoka, being able to come back and enjoy a massage immediately was a lifesaver, cutting the fatigue in half. This amenity completely elevated the stay.
2. Thoughtful Amenities Strategy: The room provided basic toiletries like toothbrushes and towels. Even better, the hotel lobby offered additional, well-known brand skincare products (like facial wash, lotion) and more oral care items for guests to take as needed. This approach minimizes waste while catering to higher needs.
3. A Pleasant Surprise – In-Room Hair Straightener: Another delightful discovery! A hair straightener was already provided in the room. This was particularly appreciated, as many hotels only offer one upon request. As someone who really needs it to maintain smooth, sleek hair (even though the provided shampoo/conditioner were decent), this thoughtful inclusion saved me the hassle of asking and added a touch of convenience I truly valued.
4. No Smoke Smell Issue: Even though we stayed in a smoking room, there was absolutely no residual smoke smell. The air was fresh, showing the hotel's dedication to thorough cleaning and ventilation.
📍 Unbeatable Convenient Location
The location is another major selling point, incredibly convenient whether for transportation or exploring the city on foot:
· Transport Hub: Within walking distance to Hakata Station, and conveniently situated between two subway stations, making trips to the airport or other parts of Fukuoka very easy.
· Culture & Shopping Paradise:
· Within a 5-minute walk to Kushida Shrine, the Old Town Museum, and the Art Center, perfect for soaking in traditional culture.
· Just a 15-minute walk to Canal City Hakata and the Naka River side, ideal for shopping, dining, and sightseeing all in one go.
· Super Convenient for Daily Needs: There are two convenience stores right downstairs, perfect for grabbing drinks, snacks, or a late-night bite anytime.
🛎️ Service & Facility Details
· Charging-Friendly: While the number of power outlets wasn't excessive, the room came equipped with a multi-purpose charging cable. This was a very considerate touch for modern travelers, providing a backup even if you forgot your adapter or a specific cable.
· Peaceful Nights: The room had good sound insulation. We only heard an external vehicle (like an ambulance) once, so overall sleep quality was undisturbed.
· TV & Entertainment: The channel selection was limited, but for guests focused on exploring the city, this wasn't an issue at all.
· Breakfast is a Must-Try!: Highly recommend adding breakfast! The roasted beef bowl, seafood bowl, and Japanese curry were exceptionally delicious, exceeding the standard of typical hotel breakfasts. The most surprising part was that the breakfast buffet included unlimited wine, which is quite rare and made for a perfect start to the day.
AAWeeKHVery convenient location, right in front of subway station and 1 station away from Hakata Station, canal city hakata is just across the street, yatai stalls all walking distance from hotel, lots of shops around the hotel, the onsen was wonderful!
Yyanyan2100The room was indeed quite small, which was a surprise given this was one of my 10+ trips to Japan. I specifically chose this hotel because it was recommended as a 'premium' option on Ctrip. The only real upside is the location, which is excellent, but the value for money isn't great if that's all you're considering. I initially thought the hotel's three eco-friendly cleaning policies were commendable. On the first day, I opted for just a towel change. However, on the second day, I clearly selected the full room cleaning option, but when I returned to the hotel after 7 PM, I found the room hadn't been cleaned at all, and the trash bags hadn't been replaced. It was completely overlooked. When I called the front desk, they said they were off-duty and could only replace towels and provide bottled water. We checked out the next day anyway.
GGuest UserPros: We had two adults and two children, and after confirming by phone, they added two more beds for us.
This was truly the most mediocre hotel of our trip, and we stayed for two nights. The disposable toiletries were especially bad. The hot spring had only one pool, and it was packed with Koreans, which made the experience really unpleasant.
We checked in on January 1st and tried to cancel on the 30th to book the Hilton near the Dome, but they wouldn't let us cancel. Oh well, I guess it was an experience. They couldn't arrange hotel parking for us either of the two days, even though it didn't seem like there were that many cars. I guess the parking lot must be small. The hotel's location is actually very good; it's a convenient 5-10 minute drive to the Ichiran main store, Hakata Bridge, and Nakasu. There are also several shopping districts nearby, which is nice. If you're looking for a good stay experience, I don't recommend this place. But if convenience is your priority, it's not bad.
AAnonymous UserLike all the other reviews here, Forza’s location can’t be beaten. Its literally less than 1 min walk from the airport bus stop. The popular Hakata Station is also within a minute walk. The location alone earns the hotel a 5 star.
Checking in and out of hotel was also an ease. The staff at the counter was helpful and friendly. A bag of toiletries was also prepared for my 8 yr old with kiddy slippers, which was much appreciated.
The room was decent size, we chose the 豪華雙人房 (19 sq m I think?) with a mini couch area – perfect for backpacks, a window, and a portable massage mat. I loved the magnets that we can stick to the door to let the cleaners know whether or not our room needs to be cleaned. What’s more is that there is an option to choose “Take out trash and change towels only”. This is a really thoughtful option, because we really don’t need our room to be made up every day. And it’s perfect that we can just have the trash taken out and towels changed.
I was a bit nervous about the cleanliness of the hotel rooms after reading some of the reviews on here, especially when I have a kid with me. I don’t want her to get sick from the germs in the room. But to my surprise, the room was quite decent, atleast I didn’t see any visible dustballs or dirty air con ventilators. Maybe because the hotel already took action to clean all the rooms and air con vents after reading some of the reviews here about dirty air con vents? I took a photo of our room air con vents for parents to take a look =) The air purifier in the room was also very comforting. We stayed in Forza for 6 days and none of us got sick =D
For the first 2 days, I did smell a bit of a urine smell when you kneel close to the carpet/toilet. It was a slight faint smell. By the 3rd day, there wasn’t much noticeable smell anymore, not sure if it was the air purifier that helped or if we got use to it. Hahaha.
On one of the nights that we returned to the hotel, we noticed that the cleaners had forgotten to put a trash bag back into the trash can. So I called reception and told them. The suited man that came with a trash bag didn’t seem too friendly. He looked like he either didn’t want to be there, didn’t know what he needed to do, or that we are trying to cheat him of a plastic bag. Anyway, I had to explain that I need a trash bag because I didn’t want to make the trash can dirty. I even had to SHOW him the trash can to convince him why I needed a bag. When he finally saw the empty trash can, he gave us a plastic bag, and left an extra one inside the trash can. He didn’t seem too pleased that I was trying to help protect the hotel’s assets, he just looks as if I disturbed his night.
The shower head took some time to get use to too. Normally shower heads will be placed at a slight angle, but the shower heads in our room shoots straight at a 90 degree angle, which was quite hard to use coz the water will be shooting directly at your chest, and you would need to kneel down a bit to wash your hair, otherwise you would need to hold the shower head with one hand, while washing with the other hand. It’s a bit hard to explain, so I took some photos to show. But you will know what I mean when you stay at the hotel.
Anyway, overall the stay was still very pleasant. I will definitely choose Forza again the next time I visit Fukuoka. Thank you Forza.
GGuest UserPerfect location, 7 mins walk from Hakata Station and there is a Family Mart nearby which is super convenient. We bought our breakfast and dessert from Family Mart.
Rooms are spacious and kids friendly (kid slippers and toothbrush were provided. They also provided a baby crib upon request). The brand of high chair in Why Not is stokke! We enjoyed the stay a lot.
GGuest UserExcellent service from the hotel! They allowed us to leave our luggage for two nights even before checking in (as we’re taking a trip out of Fukuoka). Room is spacious for a Japan hotel standard. Only downside was the curtains that doesn’t seem to be blackout curtains. Breakfast has a decent spread! Convenient location but the nearest subway exit to the hotel does not have a lift / escalator though! The famous full full bakery and shin shin ramen ar just a few mins walk from the hotel.
GGuest UserThe room was a little smaller than another hotel with breakfast I've stayed at, but that wasn't a big deal. The toiletries provided were limited to toothpaste and toothbrushes; it would have been even better if skincare products were also available. Breakfast was Western-style, and guests could make their own pizzas.
