Guest UserThis guesthouse in Datong is an absolute gem! The room is huge, so spacious for our family of four. It's incredibly clean, and all the facilities are brand new. The kids absolutely loved soaking in the bathtub. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented, starting our day off with a great mood. The owner is super nice and accommodating, always happy to help, and very pet-friendly. All the staff members were smiling throughout our stay. I highly, highly recommend staying here!

Guest UserFacilities: The design is excellent, and all the amenities are thoughtfully arranged and very practical. The bed and pillows are incredibly comfortable; lying down felt so therapeutic, and I fell asleep almost instantly.
Hygiene: The hygiene was impeccable.
Environment: The location is perfect, within walking distance of Daiwang Mansion, Drum Tower, and Huayan Temple. After watching the iron flower performance at night, it was just a short stroll back to bed.
Service: The service was incredibly attentive and prompt. The butler recommended many delicious local eateries, and they were all indeed fantastic. The tea at the front desk was also delightful; I'd fill my thermos every time I went out – it was so comforting. They even offered a thoughtful bedtime gift, making the overall experience incredibly pleasant.

The environment here is excellent, offering great value for money, and the service is superb. It's just a two-minute walk from the Hengshan mountain entrance, and the owner even arranged car transfers. The entire room is smart and very spacious. This is a highly recommended place to stay when visiting Hengshan.

The room was spacious and bright with two windows. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the small Buddha statue on the bedside table – quite charming! The area under the windows was decorated with flowers and small ornaments, creating a cozy atmosphere. The bedding was clean, the mattress was just the right firmness, and I slept very comfortably. The sink was clean and hygienic, and toiletries were provided. There's a small courtyard downstairs, and we happened to be there during the first snowfall of the year 🌨️ The owner had built two chubby snowmen – a truly playful owner! 😍

This guesthouse boasts an excellent location in the East Street of Gulou (Drum Tower) in the ancient city. It's a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling downtown, with a rich historical background. It faces Guandi Temple directly, with Taiping Tower to its north, and a Fo Xiaoban specialty store just 10 meters to the east. Walking west leads you to Gulou (Drum Tower), and Huayan Temple is just 600 meters away. Along the way, you'll pass numerous popular restaurants like Zini 369, Longjuxiang, and Fenglingge. The ancient city's tourist shuttle bus station is also a convenient 20-minute walk away. The rooms have an antique charm and feature a wet/dry separation bathroom. The host provides warm and attentive butler service, even greeting guests at the door and helping with luggage. There's also a friendly cat in the courtyard you can pet. It's a pet-friendly establishment.

We had a happy experience checking in at this hotel. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. We loved our room! It was bright and cheerful and spacious. The shower and drainage was very good.
Location is fantastic, near the railway station and many bus services, especially for going to Yungang grottoes. There was a mall, with a hypermarket in the basement and minimarts around.
What we like most was there was a washing machine and dryer for guests to use, free of charge!
If we ever come to Datong again, we would stay here. Highly recommend this place!

Guest UserWe had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this hotel!
The location is perfect for exploring the city center on foot. The hotel is brand new while beautifully preserving a traditional Chinese style, creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere.
What truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a genuine smile. They went above and beyond to meet all of our needs and even welcomed us with a lovely afternoon snack, which was a very thoughtful touch.
The breakfast was delicious, authentic Chinese cuisine with a wide variety of choices. We especially appreciated how seriously they take food allergies and dietary requirements, something that is unfortunately not common everywhere. Their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate every request made us feel truly cared for.
We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will definitely come back on our next visit!

Cornelis HeemskerkWe had a great stay for 4 nights at this homestay. Our room was very comfortable and offered enough space. The bed was quite had but we had a good sleep every night. The breakfast was only Chinese style but different every day. Coffee could be taken from their coffee corner. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

sylva7The hotel is new (the TV screen protector hadn't even been removed yet) and the closets weren't fully set up.
If you're arriving by car, you access the hotel via the second-level underground parking lot.
Communication with the staff on Trip.com before arrival was excellent when I needed information.
The rooms we chose were in the basement, but the hallway was lit by natural light through skylights.
The owners don't speak English, but we managed to communicate using a translation app.
They were very responsive and resolved any issues, even at midnight.
The showers are a bit cramped; either the shower cabin isn't perfectly square, or in the other room, the space between the shower cabin and the sink is restricted.
Housekeeping was done daily, and water bottles were provided.
However, the toilet paper was supplied in very small quantities. If you ask at reception, they'll give you more, but it's always a hassle to have to go and ask when a normal amount could be provided initially. We only had one roll, which didn't seem full, regardless of whether you had a room for two or three people.
The electrical outlets don't accommodate French plugs, similar to what you find in Shanghai and Beijing.
There's no laundry service available.
The location is good, in a new district that's still under construction.
The alley leading to it at night is lovely, with the illuminated storefronts of the various houses.
The hotel can arrange a paid taxi service between the station and the hotel for guests staying in the basement rooms.
The rooms are well-equipped; only a few finishing touches, like bathroom caulking, are still needed.

Guest UserAjummah at the front desk is very accommodating. I arrived at 6:30am and they were able to provide me a room at 8am. Very close to the railway station. The downside is room smells tobacco. The common bathroom is extremely dirty and smells like urine. There were even poop left is there without flashing down. I had to go up to the 3rd floor and use the bathroom there instead of the one in our floor.
No towels, toiletries, slippers, hair dryer. If you just need a day to rest that is near the railways station, you can book this, otherwise look for other hotels in the area.
