Treasure B&B No. 7 Mansion in the Ancient City! The location is unbeatable, perfect for walking to all the major ancient buildings. It also has a free parking area, which is super convenient if you're driving. The room features smart home tech throughout, and the Serta mattress really helped soothe my back after a long drive. The bathroom facilities are high-end and spotless. The service is gentle and attentive, and breakfast includes authentic knife-cut noodles. The rooftop terrace offers an absolutely stunning night view of the ancient city. Definitely my top choice for accommodation!

A very cozy and comfortable B&B, located right in the ancient town's pedestrian street, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling area. The courtyard is spacious, the rooms are clean, and all amenities are of high quality. Breakfast is plentiful, and the staff are friendly. The location is excellent, with all of the ancient town's attractions within walking distance, which is great when traveling with kids as it saves a lot of hassle. Plus, many popular restaurants often have long queues, but because this place is so close, you can easily grab takeout and enjoy your meal back at the hotel, saving a lot of waiting time. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Datong.

Staying here, for the price, the room amenities are probably among the best in the area. The room came with a Dyson hairdryer, Malin+Goetz toiletries, and I think Ora2 toothpaste, plus a huge vanity. The slippers and bedding were incredibly comfortable. The mini-bar was also very thoughtfully stocked with drip coffee, nuts, and local specialty drinks. Overall, very satisfied. Dining: The breakfast was genuinely excellent and great value. The hot food section offered local Datong specialties that were even better than what you'd find outside. There was also a dedicated daily recommendation for 'local snacks and desserts.' The fruits and other dishes were both abundant and fresh – fantastic. Experience: The service was very attentive. When I was checking out, I had my hands full and couldn't carry a water bottle, so the front desk lady even gave me a cross-body bag for it. In the evening, I enjoyed the complimentary cocktails; the bartender lady introduced many local Datong delicacies, making this trip to Datong even more perfect. I would definitely recommend this to other friends! I also didn't get a chance to use the Haagen-Dazs voucher.

This was my first trip to Datong, and I chose Yánn. I highly recommend it to everyone, from the pre-trip planning to the meticulous service provided at the hotel. We woke up a bit late, but still enjoyed a delicious breakfast, which is perfect for a relaxing vacation. The room design is very unique, and its distinctive style added a lot of fun to our trip! The coffee bar in the co-working space was also amazing, offering freshly ground coffee. I hope Yiyan continues to improve. We will definitely be back! It was a perfect travel experience.

Stayed here for 3 days while visiting Datong. The room was spotlessly clean and well-ventilated, with no strange smells. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. There's a convenience store downstairs, and it's a short, direct taxi ride to all the attractions, which saved a lot of time. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay. The front desk staff were all lovely young ladies who provided very attentive service. I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting!

You can tell the style right from the moment you step into the lobby—French elegance, and the public areas are clean and fresh. The room has great natural light, impeccable cleanliness with no strange odors, and the mattress and pillows are very comfortable. Soundproofing is solid, making for a very quiet night. The room is fully equipped with stable high-speed WiFi, a separate wet and dry bathroom, and complete toiletries. The hotel facilities are comprehensive: a self-service laundry room with a dryer, and a gym—essential needs for business travel. The breakfast offers a wide variety and tastes great. The front desk service is attentive and prompt with responses. The location is excellent and transportation is very convenient. Overall, the quality and service are consistently top-notch. Highly recommended for both business trips and short getaways!

I've been to several provinces and cities, but my trip to Datong, Shanxi this time was truly exceptional. It was during the Dragon Boat Festival, and the hotel gave us a complimentary souvenir. They even offered late-night snacks. The gym, however, was inaccessible even with the room card; I'm not sure what was going on there. The front desk had fruit and candies, and the service was genuinely great. If any friends are coming to Datong, Shanxi, I highly recommend staying at the Ailai Hotel. Even the name is well-chosen – it truly makes you 'love to come' (ài lái)!

Extremely happy with my stay here! Room is very spacious and clean, and I was within walking distance to most of the attractions and restaurants. The staff here are very friendly and they always went out of their way to make my experience in Datong memorable! I'm especially grateful because the manager showed me how to order food from local restaurants using my phone and get it delivered straight to my room! 10/10!!

The hotel has very spacious and comfortable rooms. The breakfast is only Chinese, but rich and plentiful. We can't comment on the location because we always took taxis to the attractions around Datong (the wooden pagoda, hanging monasteries, and the Yungang Grottoes), but right next to the hotel are plenty of restaurants and places to grab a quick bite. The staff seemed helpful, but no one spoke English, so we had to use a translation app, which wasn't always accurate, and communication was somewhat hampered.

We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this hotel! The location is perfect for exploring the city center on foot. The hotel is brand new while beautifully preserving a traditional Chinese style, creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere. What truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a genuine smile. They went above and beyond to meet all of our needs and even welcomed us with a lovely afternoon snack, which was a very thoughtful touch. The breakfast was delicious, authentic Chinese cuisine with a wide variety of choices. We especially appreciated how seriously they take food allergies and dietary requirements, something that is unfortunately not common everywhere. Their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate every request made us feel truly cared for. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will definitely come back on our next visit!
