21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa Review

3.4 I went about a year ago. The exhibition called swimming pool was interesting. I enjoyed it even if I was not very familiar with art.

The 21st Century Museum of Kanazawa opened in 2004 and is designed in a disc-like design as if it were a UFO landing in the center of Kanazawa. All walls are made of glass and the building has five gates open in different directions to the city. The gallery displays experimental modern art that visitors can touch or sit on, and is ideal for children and adults. Highlights include the "pool" of Leandro Erlich , which makes visitors feel as if they are standing at the bottom of the pool, and walls decorated with flowers collected from the suburbs of Kanazawa.

The 21st Century Museum of Kanazawa is one of the masterpieces of SANAA, located in Kanazawa City, Japan. The design concept of this museum is to make it accessible to anyone at any time, and is a park-style museum for communication and artistic experience. The building is designed in a circular transparent glass with full consideration of the brightness and openness of the top lighting and the courtroom. Because all three sides are surrounded by roads, people can enter the building from any direction.

A place worth visiting. Originally, I just went to the swimming pool and felt that many modern arts are mysterious, but here I have greatly changed. When I went there, I met the exhibition of Ikeda Science and Resin Goldfish. It took two hours to get out of the swimming pool. If you only look at the upper floor of the swimming pool in the gallery, you don't need to buy tickets. If you want to enter other exhibition halls and swimming pools, you need to buy tickets. Attention should be paid to the fact that the art works in the museum can not be photographed. Only outdoor devices and swimming pools can be photographed. Many performances and exhibitions in Japan are not photographed by default, even without a notice. If you're not sure if you can take a picture, you'd better ask the librarian.
