Hanshan Temple belongs to Linjizong in Zen. During the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty, the famous monks Hanshan Mountain and Xiqian two high monks founded Hanshan Temple. In more than 1,000 years, Hanshan Temple was destroyed by fire five times (one said to be 7 times), and the last reconstruction was during the Qing Dynasty. Historically, Hanshan Temple was one of the ten famous temples in China.
